I loved this book! I think the point of it was a tale of morality. Be careful what you wish for... the grass is always greener... that kind of thing. I thought the writing was beautiful and I was totally engrossed. But I do agree that there should have been more explanation about what went on between Drosselmeyer and the Fairy.
Not gonna lie, I almost DNFed with like 50 pages left. Once we got to the Toymaker section, the book just dragged. Like, I could feel it losing the plot in the dollhouse section and was wondering what could even happen for the rest of the book to be this long. I was thinking that it was going to be Natasha backing out of her bargin and then her an Dolsemyere trying to take down the fairy. Unfortunatly it just dragged.
I actually liked this book! I think the main premise of this book was to be happy with what you have and what you are, and that appearances can be deceiving and not everything is as it seems, so don't be jealous of someone else because they seem to have an amazing life 😂
I didn't read this one, but I'm glad it wasn't a total disappointment for you, since it wasn't what you expected at all. It's such a bummer when the premise of a book has so much potential and loses it.
I felt like halfway through an idea the author had another idea. And then all of a sudden this is a roman mythology story that turns into a ww1 historical fiction. And what is with 48 being too old. Did anyone read the acknowledgements where the author admits to her struggle with this novel!?

And 48 does seem old , especially after having kids.😅
Totally agree that there was no point to this book!

I was pretty disappointed in it, felt like it could have been much more.
