I'll be travelling from the Sunshine Coast to Rockhampton on the tilt train in mid August and really looking forward to it. I'm really hoping to get on Business class but have heard they book out very quickly. I've always driven up to Rocky and with the price of petrol now and the train being cheaper and only taking 30 mins longer than it takes to drive it seems the train is a far better option.
Had to go to Brizzy earlier this year for a biopsy. They were working on the tracks, so it was a bus trip instead. Actually. that was fine. On the way back, the train around midday was booked out so I had to get a ticket on the tilt train. That was the first time I'd been on a train in near on 50 years. Only had a normal seat ... not business class. I found it super comfortable anyway. For me, I thought that the food was a bit pricey and also due to surgeries, didn't feel like anything. (except the mars bar that I had in my bag and the bottle of water that I always carry with me) But I agree with you.A great experience. You mentioned about the high speed. To tell you the truth, I didn't even notice that. The trip was quiet, smooth and comfortable Thanks for posting the video ))))))

Thank for watching! Train travel is pretty cool.
Good to know this is an available service given we’ll be heading up to Bundaberg.
Yes regular train service to Bundaberg. Enjoy!
Looks like better quality good and service than what you get on the XPT
Yep I think better than the trains in NSW
