so it took me until the end of Hydrocity zone but i did get a bonus stage from a goal post, The Gum ball machine bonus. NOW this is from a sega collection so perhaps it was added to that and not in the original on the OG Sega. Sadly i can not confirm that

6:10 Those relay post bonus stages were not present in the original. Or at least i don't recall them.
