I have run out of coal in my personal playthrough one time and couldn’t do anything with my stuff (I wasn’t aware Clint sold coal), I didn’t have wood to turn to charcoal bc I didn’t know you could chop trees down in the forest area blow the farm. TLDR it sucked

Well if it was up to me I would have the villagers behind us and AWAY from the killers ready to attack them NOT have them run forward ahead of us. I blame the father for the pointless deaths here today. If he had better control of the land bandits wouldn’t be here

It’s definitely a game of its time. I want to say this is one of the very first RPG games for consoles (DQ1 being the first) and it’s a bit difficult to look back and think that in the 80 that this was not just a game to play for a week as games were VERY expensive back then. This game WAS your summer so back then it would make more sense for all the grinding and “outdated” systems. But a proper remake, cutting down on grinding and making this 10hr RPG take 3 may make it a more fun experience and more open to replay ability instead of the hour or 2 needed to grind for exp to get ready for the next location

Considering his father sent him off into the world to fight a demon I’m guessing his father surrendered the crown to save his own head You know after the failed attempt on his child’s life by sending him in a impossible task.

Personally I find the mining the more interesting part of the game and the most valuable as it has a lot of items used for crafting

Thankfully when you know what you are doing it’s not that difficult to get here. First time playing I was terrible at this game and the stages. But now knowing of how good the charge shot is for the points in 2b and the secret way by saving falco and showing off our piloting skills. Getting here isn’t too much trouble. However I don’t know if this stage is worth it. It’s not the worst stage but it’s definitely not one of the best

I have only seen 2 or 3 of Miyazaki’s films. I really should look up more of them. I have not heard of “Grave of Fireflies” but I’m guessing it’s not the most child friendly movie haha

I know it involves carbon I just wasn’t sure how or when in the process it is done, like I’m guessing you melt it down to a liquid and then what? Just mix in coal? Does the coal melt? Does it burn?

@@jarg_64 i think you just heat the metal while "infusing" it with carbon by placing in inside the embers so that there is "tranfer".

@@godoftwinkies574 I don’t think there is much to get. It’s mostly a slice of life type of thing. I haven’t seen it in a long time I just remember liking the first half. The 3/4 was meh and the last 4th was just ok

@@jarg_64 yeah. The maturing interfering with her power was interesting but the ending was unclear and unrewarding. Like most Mihazaki's movies.

@@godoftwinkies574 was it her maturing that did it? I assumed it was a combination of her getting sick and losing hope in people that did it. As it happened after she delivered a cake or pie to this kind old woman’s grand daughter who was just annoyed and ungrateful at it

WHA!?! NO!!! We’re fine… perhaps a little under leveled for these battles as they could be done later on but we’re doing ok. Honestly I think all I can get right now is iron or steel. I can possibly make maces and killer edges but I think they are more “rare” and not necessary right now

This is my second playthrough. I only did 1 other house 2 or 3 years ago. I was not aware that only certain students were going to be available in part 2, I thought that any students you recruited would be with you until the end UNLESS they were from the church, the faction head and their right hand man. I do have the DLC and just finished that for the first time on Saturday (I wanted to go through part of the main story before going to a side story) I do appreciate the information, I will have to keep that in mind when I eventually do a Golden Deer and Black Eagles playthrough
