I love Michael jai white but the dude was being too egotistical here. I too spar, and I love it. But when people I ask I tell them I'm into boxing and I train it, I don't identify myself as a boxer. Because sparring and fighting are very different. I've had some intense spars, easily 90% with 100% effort on punches. But that's still not 100%; you're not trying to drop the dude when he's hurting. It's different.

People don't get this. If you walk into a fight thinking that you will lose, it will affect your performance. I know it is arrogant and unrealistic to think that you can beat anybody. However, a fighter must have that mentality to perform the best he can even if it is not true in real life.
There is 3 main differences between sparring and pro fights 1. 16oz gloves and headgear 2. The atmosphere and level of nervousness. 3. Sparring is normally at a higher pace and tempo.
People who don’t fight think sparring isn’t “actually” fighting… bruh, most sparring matches are crazier than actual fights. It just doesn’t have a title “main event”. Sparring has levels but I’ve had harder sparring matches than actual boxing matches many times.
I have a hard time believing any professional boxer would actually go all out sparring MJW. They would hurt him badly. Most likely they were not trying to hurt him. And if MJW ever actually did beat a pro boxer in a real competitive sparring match, we would have heard about it by now. Those kinds of stories travel fast and I've never once heard any kind of story like that about him in all my time following boxing. He's the only one who claims it.

People don't get this. If you walk into a fight thinking that you will lose, it will affect your performance. I know it is arrogant and unrealistic to think that you can beat anybody. However, a fighter must have that mentality to perform the best he can even if it is not true in real life.
There is 3 main differences between sparring and pro fights
1. 16oz gloves and headgear
2. The atmosphere and level of nervousness.
3. Sparring is normally at a higher pace and tempo.

People who don’t fight think sparring isn’t “actually” fighting… bruh, most sparring matches are crazier than actual fights. It just doesn’t have a title “main event”. Sparring has levels but I’ve had harder sparring matches than actual boxing matches many times.
I have a hard time believing any professional boxer would actually go all out sparring MJW. They would hurt him badly. Most likely they were not trying to hurt him. And if MJW ever actually did beat a pro boxer in a real competitive sparring match, we would have heard about it by now. Those kinds of stories travel fast and I've never once heard any kind of story like that about him in all my time following boxing. He's the only one who claims it.

Mike is not and doesn't have the instinct he used to have anymore. he can throw punches but he's too old now. he has even said he done a 30 second video with someone and was in bed for a week after. obviously he can train and get in better condition but someone who is like that with no training will be at a huge disadvantage cause he can't do it like he could before. Michael is way too fit and well outlast and probably even overpower Mike in the fight and he has perfect technique. could he get knocked out by Mike. maybe. could Mike get knocked out by him. definitely. whether it happens or not we will have to see but Michael has way too many advantages to say Mike will win

White has a ton of street fighting experience ring and tournament experience, but the boxing ring with rules that would limit your kicking grappling against a pro boxer would be another story. Of course White would fight Mike and risk getting an L for more money than he makes off all of those B movies combined.

Mike is not as trained as white in mma but boxing is really helpfull in an ufc match if your as well versed as tyson . So even a ufc fight is not an easy win if he fought mike.

He could try teep kicking all he wants, but Mike Tyson has a competitive boxing experience at the elite level. During the time of Goliaths. Not as Goliath as the Ali era though. He may have done BJJ, but without the experience or training of doing a takedown while boxing punches are being thrown at you, that's going to be very hard. And if it's Mike Tyson, then ain't no grappler winning. Mike Tyson can beat an MMA fighter if he wanted to
