That's a nice machine. I know it's an old video but I sure would have liked to know what brand of engine it was along with the rest of the drivetrain. It definitely doesn't look familiar to me
@@randymagnum143 nice insult. Can I have your number so I can call you to fix my frozen brakes this winter . I've never had to unfreeze the brakes on my 3 ton my one ton my half ton or my car. So once again tell me how great air brakes are?? Idiot

The engine in this tractor what is it?
Simply awesome! So happy you were able to save it & restore it to its former glory! 👍♥️
An incredible restoration. Immense and intense amounts of work went into that. Great job saving it!
Awesome 👍 Looks like a Bulldozer with Wheels.
Awesome old tractor.
Thanks for sharing.
Love HISTORY
Just outstanding love that tractor, thank you very much for sharing stay safe buddy and God bless y'all 🚜
Would like to know more about this machine- axles, transmission, how it was designed, etc. This video left me wanting more.
Incredible unit and job!
Big old tractors are cool .what feed America back in the day
Just huge for a 1950s tractor. More raw HP than a contemporary Cat D8 of the early 50s.
Wouldn't pull anywhere near as much though.
So much power for the time and you wonder how the smaller implements of the day held up to that much power...
I liked the rusty look of it in the junk yard
I need something like this. It would be a major upgrade, compared to my john deere h
A horse would be an upgrade to a John Deere H! Lol
Did they say why they painted it white vs the original red colour like when their dad owned it? Great piece of tractor & family history. Cheers
I would have a seatbelt and roll protection. NICE

Continental 572 cu. in. diesel engine. Rockwell axles.
I'm sure everyone was waiting for the answer to this question. What is the power plant?
Are their any more of the 8 still around and maybe running?
You're dealing with a MIGHTY powerful force.. The Big 4 tractor. Made to pull a heavy load.. Made, in the US of A!
Sounds like a d343 or a early predecessor
Very interesting. Maybe a lot of Cat parts? Personally glad to see it isn’t Detroit powered!
What’s wrong with Detroit?
Oliver77 TWO REASONS--TWO STROKE!!!
ROSS Bryan6 Right on both accounts!
What kind of engine is in this tractor? Cat? Detroit diesel?
a MIGHTY powerful one. 🇺🇸😁
What corporation made the engine that's in it?
continental 6 cyl diesel 572 cu.inches, model RD6572.
👍👍
I know fendt has compress air on their combines
Many of the large square balers now have their own air compressor systems to blow off the knotters
The original big bud
Sounds to me Like a Buddha Engine. I know I didn't spell it right.
Because air brakes suck. Suck so bad anyplace that has winter can tell you ,air brakes suck. Did I mention # air brakes suck .
I always thought air brakes blow not suck, I think you are getting confused with vacuum brakes!! 😂😂😂
@@martingardener90 funny
They just require maintenance beyond the competence level of many farmers.
