This guy is in the wrong job for taking driver habits personally. Lack of eye contact is one thing, but the fact that he's not having to do interaction means he's not being distracted by people, which is precious for a job as dangerous as this.
I've been on a road closure for 4 months, while most drivers see me and the road closed signs and follow the Detour sighs some driver ignore me and the signs and drive straight past me to the other end that has a crew digging up the road, they come back and abuse me for "not telling them the road is blocked ..🤣🤣🤣🤦♂️ . ...
I work for Flagger Force in Pennsylvania and they have advancement opportunities. When you get a Truck, they pay for gas, tolls, repairs, some travel time. Crew Members don’t have to drive too far from home.
Y’all don’t understand how hard I laughed when I completely unexpectedly saw this. I failed the test and had to do it over so I actually watched it instead of skipping it and it was so worth it
Flagging has is moments.but if poeple think its a cake jobtell them to stand out in their driveway for 8 hours without a break except to run to the bushes and. Pee or go for a walk in front or behind a basket truck for 8 hours carrying a paddle
@@TheStranger513 sometimes there is no lunch, make sure you bring a lunch bag with lunch and snacks and refreshments because you'll most likely have to eat right there where you're stuck working
I'm sure every company that has flagged are different, but the one I worked at never gave us a break. Standing for 9+ hours without anything but a bathroom break? The pay wasn't not worth it
Wish traffic was like that here he’ll people never stay home when I do stop working going to sale a bunch of stuff and spend more time at the dam house I’ve been driving around over 30 years I am on the verge of giving all of this craziness up.
I was gonna take this job but i think they need to pay more and also keep it minimum hours not over 8 , and there should be more opportunities for flaggers instead of standing there. Teach flaggers trades so they can move up.
Where I would work as a flag get here in Washington and I’m hoping that they hire me back again but they do have all those things they allow you to move up from being a flagger 18.50 an hour to be a flagger/labor 250$ a day then to groundsman 300$ a day then to a line men 42$ an hour
As I think I'll have a new flagging job here in TN, I have an approach lol. Subbed and we'll see if it works.... C'mon man squid? Spikes ahead lol but these days noone reads English. Police sign might work....and who gets the family Bible.
Yes doom I am with Liuna but I can say that the equipment for us is all wrong on this guy. No reflective on his vest, we have to wear a full brim white hardhat, and that paddle is pretty beat up much less who uses a paddle pole that doesn'r break down any more?
I just had my job interview yesterday. Browsing for flagger / tcp videos I'm happy I've found this one! Starting next week at $22/h , anything after 5pm is paid x1.5 and sundays are x2.
Lazy? Lets see you stand on your feet for 16 hrs a day in 30+°c How about setting up a 14km zone and then after working all day tear it down etc etc etc.
1. Knows that's goofing off is not acceptable at any time
2.brings rain gear
3.brings his lunch

I love you bro thank you 😂
lmfao brother you’re a godsend
I can't believe I just watched this for a flagger training in 2024
IBEW 1245 recommended me a course containing this absolute gem.
Always keep your head on a swivel when it comes to traffic control
This video is fine for a conversation starter at a safety meeting but it doesn't belong in a flagging course, which is where I encountered it

3 months in traffic controller, Brisbane, Australia. This seriously had me in stitches! thanks for that! Looks like an oldie but a goodie!😆🙃

I remember being new and having to babysit equipment on dead ass roads. 😒 it was horrible.

I think I know what I'll be doing at work tomorrow 😂
Sort of like the mail buoy watch or the hand rail valve to cool down the hand rails in the engine room.
This is too funny and so true 😂 but when it gets hot outside all you wanna do is find a nice shady tree
