I had that same exact idea after clipping the bobbins to the bottom of the wire baskets I'm using now. But I like spinning larger cakes or using whole skeins for color areas that require more yarn than what a bobbin will hold. So I've been looking for a drying rack that has removable rods that I can stick through the center of cakes and reattach. I haven't found any so I'm actually considering buying metal coat hangers to cut open and reshape to fit through a cake and then hang on the rack. It's not ideal so I'm open for suggestions. Your graphgan is gorgeous by the way.
