To clear up any confusion, the "cheating" seen multiple times throughout the video is a joke way of showcasing lost footage. If you look at the "cheating" footage, you can see they all happen on a new file, with the one showing him adding money, you can see the parsnip package. In the scene at the blacksmith's, it is on the second day of spring, which he is very clearly further in his actual run. Just to clear some things up.

The fact that people would even be bothered if cheats were used is the weird part. I'd get some online competitive game gaining an unfair advantage but holy shit, it's literally a single player stardew valley video lmao. 1. I thought this would be relaxing but it was surprisingly stressful.

3. I think the lost footage might be crime footage.
This was genuinely some of the most fun I've had watching a Stardew Valley challenge in a LONG time. I think because it was both a challenge that was interesting, but also had downtime and a focus on aesthetics, which you don't normally see. I'm so accustomed to speedruns and challenge runs that don't care how anything looks as long as it's the most profitable, but this was really nice. I wouldn't mind seeing this continue. And as always, love the editing, presentation, and care you put into all your videos!
I recently set myself a challenge to have some million dollar days, like seven million in seven days. It's been really slow going, but I think I will get there. Just takes time to build the infrastructure.

A tip for anyone attempting this sort of thing on their own farm: If allowing yourself only one day off the farm per week, Saturday would be the most effective since foragables accumulate throughout the week and reset going into Sunday. So Sunday will have the least amount of them while Saturday has the most. Wednesday may be second best if you don't mind buying from Joja Mart instead of Pierre's since more NPCs have their birthday on Wednesday than any other day of the week, clocking in at 8 NPCs. This means if you're trying to max out friendship with each villager in a run like this, you'll have that sweet 8x gift bonus for as many NPCs as possible throughout the year.
I'm planning on doing a Hermit run but with differing rules. Can only go out once per season unless it's for an event (for friendship) or to gift someone for their birthday then go right back to the farm. Other alterations include being allowed to leave to grab upgraded tools the day after your once a month trip. This includes being able to leave the following day to strictly see the wizard after your first trip off the farm.

It's funny how you give a purple star fish for the stew and they're like "eh that'll do" and then an npc comes with what is probably the lowest quality crop you can get and they're like "yo thankyou so much!"

still thou, 1 or 2 times lost footage is fine, but 7-8 times, a bit suspicious. probably the 1st 100 days video I've seen from a youtuber that has lost footage multiple times.
@@nekomeow6278 He may just not have much storage in his computer, I know that sometimes when you don't have much, stuff won't save. (I'm not good with tech stuff, so correct me if Im wrong!!)
@@Yourlovelyghost if your recording software runs out of storage it just ends the recording and saves what ever it was recording taking up the rest of the storage, but there also could be corrupting, where the video file becomes invalid and mostly can't be restored (big problem when you record for long periods of time)

I'm sorta doing this just more extra. The first year I never left. The second year I left the farm 1 time, then each year I gain a day. I'm in year 5 and have gone out 4 times
So basically this is a land reclamation project with you turning a beach into a forest and reinforcing the soil with roots.

I did this but I could only leave once per year. Very fun, a lot harder though. It’s a lot of fishing for trash and then recycling it.
I think the first of each season would lead to a more fun playthrough. A balance of being able to do something each season, but still needing to plan an entire season ahead

I know exactly what you mean by spending too much energy on Watering, My first playthrough o never mined so i only planted about 100 crops a season lmao, but watering about 100 crops a day gave me no energy for the rest of the day. My second playthrough i did the same thing for spring as i spent all the rest of my last bits of energy in the mines, now in winter of the same year i have over 120 quality sprinklers lmao. no more watering for me.

PSA(because the beginning kinda hurt to watch):
don't plant any more crops until you have the scarecrow unlocked. crows are programmed to not spawn until you have put down at least *16* crops, and that means you are safe planting your starting parsnips, but anything after that will need scarecrows otherwise you're going to lose crops. so don't place down mixed seeds until you've hit farming level 1, or any secondary parsnips in multiplayer.
everyone already knows that, but one or two crops sacrificed is worth it to some people to grow a bunch more in a shorter period of time.

Bear in mind it was only two tries on this save. He has put in LOTS of hours learning to play Junimo Kart in other saves.

Oh hey, I did this on one of my saves too except my one day to leave outside of a festival was whatever day I wanted, usually on a villager birthday.. where I would forget to give them a present until after I returned to the farm. the progress on that save is a little slow going.
I got an ancient seed on level 28 of the mines on day 28 of spring on year 1
Just wondering... why is 100 days a thing when a year in game is 112 days. 100 days just seems incomplete. Why not just finish the year off it's only 12 days in winter.

Saturday would be a good idea because that's the last day before forageables reset and when the traveling merchant is there.
Traveling merchant is only there on Fridays and Sundays

This is is just like Call Me Kevin but he did an entire year in Stardew with out leaving the farm then the first of year 2 he did everything he could before going back to his farm for another year of isolation
