Man, this game has gone completely crazy in terms of content since I was playing it seriously (v1.2). Concerned Ape got rid of one of my favourite features (which made me very sad).... back in 1.2, you could kiss your spouse good night after they'd gone to bed and they would have a cute comment for you. Alex's most common one was, "I bought a new pair of shorts. *blushy face* I thought you might want to know." So depressed when I played more recent versions that that was eliminated. We need MORE spouse content, and not less, and Alex makes my heart pitter-patter like nobody's business. I love him so much.
@@seabass_sebastian Anything to do with family would be great. Your spouse starts to feel like a robot after a couple weeks and your kids just take up a lot of space. The fact that Concerned Ape actually took spouse content out when that is a big complaint from many people was just really sad.

It was so cute and endearing to give your spouse a kiss before you climbed into bed and hear one of maybe 6-10 lines of dialogue. Now marriage just feels so much less appealing, which is why when I saw this had happened in SDV 1.5, I just stopped playing since marrying Alex was my favourite part of the game. 😆
4:37 I can relate lmao, apples are the rarest fruit to get from the bat cave. I planted an apple tree in the greenhouse as soon as I realized I had only gotten one of the 4 apples I needed for the community center, the tree grew faster than I got the 3 apples from the cave.
As someone who has been playing Stardew for more than 500 hours, I honestly feel so impressed by these people! It makes me feel so unorganized by how put together they all are!
Mostly this shows is that there is no wrong way to play the game. There’s so much pressure on the internet to speed through the game for perfection but at the end of the day it’s a game so don’t stress if you’re not where these folks are. I’m on my first play through and i’m at 80hrs and only just made it to ginger island but I’ve completed most of the shipping, cooking, fishing and friendship requirements. Some would probs consider me slow but I hate scavenger hunts which is why I haven’t started the golden walnuts on Ginger Island. Play the way that suits you!!!
yeah on my first playthrough i didnt use the wiki or anything until like 50 hours into the game. it took me 3 damn years to complete the community center, and i literally just started actually trying to decorate and stuff after about 100 hours.

LOL you would be most unimpressed with my save game... first goal is always to marry Alex, and the only way to do that is to grow fertilized potatoes, as many as possible, while you upgrade your house. Give Alex your best potatoes twice a week, get him to agree to dance with you at the Flower Dance, and I got him to marry me by Y1 Summer 20 in my last playthrough. Once I have big gay Alex doing shirtless exercises on my farm, then I get motivated to start doing other things.
I love how Alex is at the top the 10hr player's friendship list and he goes right down like, yup must me Haley. I was passively watching so it seemed so random at first😂
I do not mind walking around, I am in no rush so I have more time to enjoy the looks of the game, I do not need a horse but I understand the confusion (I am the 100 hour farm)
My farm is between 80-90 hours. I work pretty slow and was terrified of venturing the mines for a long time. It wasn’t until I completed the community center that I really started buckling down on myself and making myself use my resources and go in the mines because I’m kind of a hoarder with my inventory and I’m scared to use and sell things lol but I’m getting better!
I'm closing in to 100 hours on my farm, hoping to get perfection before I hit it (at like 90% rn, mostly missing the clock and 2 of the obelisks, as well as some friendship and food)
i have like 30 hours on my current farm and i have 14 hearts with penny, only some community center progress (I completed like 3 rooms), a bunch of animals, 1 legend fish, only a few quality sprinklers, like level 100 in the mines
I'm honestly surprised at how low friendship is with the town even on the higher hour saves. Idk I think it's a fun challenge to try and get loved birthday gifts for the villagers. It's either super easy or you have to plan a season or 2 in advance.

It all depends what ur playing for. Go for fruit if u want friendship points. Go for mushroom if u want life elixers, and money. Both the mushroom cave and the bat cave help with the community center, tho I personally go for mushrooms bc money (and also it isn’t that hard for me to get the CC fruits in one year)
I've only done 200 hours on Stardew and my stats are mostly the same or higher than the 500 hour save. I have 98% perfection though. Still, I found it interesting how I've sown over twice as many seeds as her
my almost 64 hour save isn't a patch on the 50 hour save TwT the only bragging rights I have are that I have 2 stone owls and 99 ancient fruit crops down rn

I did complete the cc, gotten statue of perfection, did mines, married Leah, gotten some max hearts (close to like 4 I think), done some deco but not a lot, max house, and around 7,8,9 for skills except farming which I maxed out year 1. First play through
i like being able to see different staged of progress but if someone came into my save file, moved stuff around, and changed my settings…i’d be kinda upset☹️

For the 8:30 time stamp that’s the statue of perfection u receive it if u get 4 candles from the grandpa evaluation once u reach year 3 and go to the shrine

Yeah, I got a tree to speed it up but i placed it outside like a moron, so now im waiting on a single apple to finish it up.
Probably best to put trees in the greenhouse as a way of getting that fruit and stuff. Took me forever to get oranges from there.
In my current game I need ONE SINGLE APPLE to finish the CC and I haven't gotten it for two seasons. It's so frustrating
