I love watching people taking care of tape hifi recorders - cassettes or reels - and keeping them alive. I'm 48 I've lost my dear daddy last year and he was a real passionate of hifi in 70's and 80'. I grew up watching at his amazing "toys" as a Revox A 700, a Luxman v 85 L I've still here and that needs some contact cleanings , many Sony decks and I've still have two teac decks: V 970X that needs belts replacements, and my V 5000. It all reminds me of the beautiful things he tought me and the time of my life whan I was amazed by music electronics and technologies that were improving so rapidly. Mechanical pieces of hifi in today's world are pointless but I love them, I remember all the evenings my father used to records his LP's to cassetes, listening with the headphones in the living room while my mother was watching the tv in the same room, and all the times he made me listen to the quality and differences among different decks or cassetes and the saturday's afternoons spent in hifi shops or in the radio station he worked as technician as a second job. well sorry for my digression, Thank you very much for sharing.
Great video just what I was looking for I have a reel motor making the same clunking sound when you turn it by hand so maybe I have a loose magnet in mine going to open it up and look and give it all a good clean.
Thank you for the video. Very informative. I also own an X10 R that needed repair of stuck motor. My problem was the tables were pushed in and dragging on front cover. I loosened the adjuster rod bolt and repositioned it to spin free again. However my real issue with this deck is that it won’t. Play both channels in reverse. Only right channel works in reverse. It will record both channels in reverse but won’t play them back . Any idea what is causing issue?
the tape needs to be taut across the heads, this is usually done by an adjustment to the spring tape guides. There is an variable resistor for each side, I set this up with the case off, tape running, using a small screwdriver. Nice Music!! 😀😀🎶🎶
この型式は、私の使っている機種と同じです。音もいいし今のところ問題はないです。
修理が不可能だと諦めていた製品が貴兄の技でよみがえるとは、出来れば今後に繋がりをお願いいたしたく存じますが如何でしょうか。
