That magic_rainbows block was nuts
And really nice to see the deck come together like this. Taxes can be so frustrating to play at times so seeing a build that's just chugging along and using some great ideas is awesome.
yeah I'm not sure any other combination of cards in our deck gets us there so we did very well in spite of being caught off guard in the early game

Makes me happy to see you so excited! I think DnT is criminally underrated in Modern. Was that your first 5-0 ever?? Also surprised you side out Vial so often. I lean on that card so hard!
This was my first 5-0 ever. I do side out vial a bit. Basically if my opponent is running hand hate I cut down to 1. Just for the extra threat density.

I love watching your content and ideas. Thanks a lot for that. Unfortunately I struggle a lot with D&T. I used to play it for a long time in Modern. But for some time now it is not that strong anymore. I tried different versions as well and lost more games than I won. So the deck went to the cupboard and I switched to Hammer Time with reasonable results. But I do not want to get rid of D&T and play it again. In your opinion what kind of card is missing to make it more competitive? Or what has to happen to make it great again? Maybe we do need a new and "better" Thalia.
I was excited to see thalia return but unfortunately it was a reprint. I'll be honest Dnt often leaves me feeling sad. it's why I mix up the content and sometimes take a break from magic in general. I think taxes is scary close to breaking through though. it doesn't feel like we have any free matchups but most decks don't get a free roll on us. I think another stoneforge style card is all we need, urza's saga is close and maybe good enough if we find the right build. I think all we need is a second combo or engine...squadron hawks is a good one...better than I expected saga is another. with WOTC acknowledging they need to make more flash cards I'm excited to see what we end up with.
the dream is 2 mana 1/2 creature with flash, exile target spell unless its controller pays x where x is the number of basic plains you control

This was great. Squak has always been a long time favorite of mine. Never had the guts to use them in dnt though. Great great games. Any thought to r/w recruiter moon style dnt for modern? 60 card version.
yeah squadron hawk is great! I played a 60 card version of that like the week mh2 got released. it was rough...I think that is where yorion comes in handy even though I'm not a fan. I did enjoy using it in a pyre of heroes humans deck and that was wicked fun

Nice list. unfortunately the magic online meta game is not friendly and decks like monowhite taxes suffer a lot for the amount of great cards that the deck can't use (omnath, wrenn and six, expressive interaction, murktide etc), but do not stop, your videos are reeaaaaally cool!!! Btw, love love your narrations in the videos and edits are really great.

Ever thought about playing Sunscour in decks with Hawks? Or the 2/2 squadron like guy? Maybe SB in a specific meta or one with more Elves?
If you are facing lots of elves then I can understsnd sunscour. Especially if you had a saga build to rebuild your board. I dont know about the 2/2 guy sorry. Ive run pauper decks with the soldiers that search like hawk does.
@@Chipkay legion conquistador is the guy I was thinking about. I was trying to figure out a deck that could run Force of Virtue, Solitude, and Sunscour in the board.
