My point is that Trump’s executive order affirms the withdrawal of U.S. financial support of the organization that was created to provide aid to Palestine. I know that there are other nations that still aid Palestine through this UN mechanism.

I remember when he said that Isreal and the USA could pay a heavy price if they attacked Iran because of the possibility of Russia and China interfering. A little while ago he said Iran would have no choice but to do whatever the USA says, or they could face war with the USA. But he failed to mention that Russia and China could get involved. I not sure why he was seeing the same circumstance, but not the same outcome. The only difference was Trump was now elected

@@priscilablood2819 Well to be honest he's not saying that, in fact he mentioned he would prefer a less autocratic approach. At any rate, for now nobody should be drawing any conclusions yet. To call Trump autocratic is to give him way more credit than he deserves thus far. His biggest problem to overcome is to make people believe that his actions line up with his words, because historically he has a serious problem with that. Like when people say he started no new wars.. Uuuuuh.. that is veeeery debatable, since he gave lethal weapons to Ukraine that even Obama didn't want to do, and he did after all kill Suleimani, an astounding act against another sovereign nation!! An act of war, really. The only reason it didn't cause Iran to retaiate as it had every right to is it being reserved and not impulsive so as to bide its time until perhaps being in a better position. All of these things will eventually be paid for though, as Karma does come around in due time.

Trump is unpredictable to a certain extent but past experience has shown his boosting of elitism and denigration of less powerful groups. Sure, we can wait and see but I wouldn’t take Scott Ritter’s positivity at face value.

I'm not nearly as optimistic about Trump as Ritter is. I heard more imperialism and manifest destiny, more expansionistic rhetoric, than what Trump was going to do for the American people. Trump is a carnival barker. He cares little for the average Joe and is in leagues with the Oligarchs. Those are the people he most cares for because he sees himself as one of them. All the domestic problems that the average person might be experiencing are definitely NOT the problems of the upper class. The ruling elite in this country care little for the average guy. Our problems are not THEIR problems, so as usual, nothing will get done. JMO.

Scott is missing the problem. There is one problem. The wealth gap. Class war and everything stems from that including military bases and on and on
US has sooooo many problems. The wealth gap is just one of them. You have, as examples, the national debt, the international credibility, the crazy regulations by agencies, the abuse wielded by the police and security forces, the inequitable application of the judicial system, the massive (legal) corruption of our legislators, the tyranny of health prices and practices, and many many more. The question one needs to ask is whether the empire will implode or slowly deflate to its rightful place.
