Last time I came here on my Sportster. This time I took Sporster in the van.
First episode from many to come in more then a month I am planning to stay here.
• The trip. (Ferry and 17 hours van drive in a day)
• A little tour around my family home I missed so much.
• MY DOG!
• A town I used to live in and a ride to the nearest city Ukmerge (where I lived a little while too).

Cruised around Wurtzburg, and surrounding areas, Germany on a 50cc vespa back in 2002.the bike had been sitting in a garage for like 20 years when I found it. Never got to Lithuania when I was in Europe but found so, so many beautiful places all over. It's always a great feeling to come home to Mum and Dad and be wrapped in that safe, away from everything else place of childhood.
What a quaint and beautiful country property that shows pride of ownership. Your father's "sculpture" shows him to be a bit of a rascal.

My wife is Lithuanian I’ve been there many times by car and plane. Beautiful country.
Don’t know why I’m surprised that Lithuania looks really neat. I know some Lithuanian developers and they are friendly and talented.
Team work is all what life is about. We all need to work together as a team no matter what situation we are in. The ability to be versatile and have many skills to be used in conjunction with your team mates is the winning formula. Families are also a collective team. Small communities also come together and help one another.

I recently bought a custom leather wrapped steering wheel off Ebay that was shipped from Lithuania. Fine craftsmanship.

Beautiful. What a lovely place, seems so peaceful - I think I'd struggle to drag myself back Britain after being there. Compliments to your folks, they've done a grand job all raound by the look of it.
I think I’ll struggle to get myself to the van drive back. Especially as I have a full appartement space in a loft with views and a room service of homemade food and cakes. And dogs! 🥹

Kudos to your mum and dad for that lovely garden.
Your father must be realy handy, who builds so much cool stuf. Plumber?
(And these days they probably appreciate the heat pump and solar panel on the roof, with the energy prices?)

Like many Lithuanians his age he is everything mechanic, carpenter, plumber.. most of things he does himself as well as cooks and bakes the best cakes ever.
They pay nothing for electricity at the moment. Said it was the best investment a few years ago.

He will be my role model from now on, and I have to work hardest with the baking. 😁
I have to check out solar panel. Together with a good air-to-air heat pump, they could be a good investment. 👍

Lithuania has beautiful nature. By the way, I live in Estonia and Im so sad, that I can not ride my Aprilia right now. It has been over 2 months, since I crached and over a month, the bike has been in workshop. I hape I het her back, before the summer ends and the weather turns bad. I miss riding so much. I loved to take my GoPro with me, all the time, when I was riding.

@@tomboyabit I home too, Its been already 1 month, 2 weeks and 2 day, that my bike was taken for repairs. Im keeping my fingers crossed too, if you do the same, my love. I love youre videos. "Riders of not" is the best beginning and I love it.

It’s definitely better then a post Soviet Lithuania I remember.
The drive here though was challenging as it was raining last 7 hours and I was tired after 10 hours driving already. Definitely splitting it on the way back, stopping to sleep.
@@tomboyabit Back when I traveled a long distance, I would stop for an hour or so at a restaurant. It get on out of a vehicle, legs and body relaxes more an I always felt better getting back on the road. At least getting a license is tougher in Europe and people seem to be better and more considerate drivers.

I clashed with Lithuanian mentality. Since I remember myself I felt more foreigner in my country (my parents, grandparents and grandparents grandgrandparents all Lithuanians) than I feel in UK.

I was very lucky to have the weather like this during my stay. Lithuania is not Sunny all the time at all. Even if the summer is hot and lovely, in September the temperature starts quickly dropping and in October can be bellow 0C. In winter it can reach -30C.

Nice little family estate. I would rather be there than in the UK lol.
I’m grateful to be here now, but riding season is very short in Lithuania and Winters are real. Dark, cold and either the roads are covered with snow or salt.
@@tomboyabit Have seen your vids riding in the winter here. I prefer not to ride in the winter (even if the ‘winter’ hasn’t been a proper one in the UK for many years now lol), because of the potential damage all the salt and grime could cause to my Iron if it isn’t cleaned out quickly and properly.

Yes
Lithuania is a place that time stood still ,doesn't suffer like Poland,Ukraine,Yugosalvika,etc. in terms of hotspot problems.
