I first heard it at a Christian school competition convention when I was about 13. I was very moved by the message, which got me through such a rough patch of my life and helped me to cling to the Lord, His presence, and His Word through what felt like unbearable circumstances. I bought the accompaniment track set that included it, and sang it on several occasions for the “special music” of services and events.
