I swear, Yeongja is the best thing on this show these days, she starting to speak up and call out what is wrong with the situation. When she called the first guy out and he backed down. 😂
If i had a dime every time a wife came on the show for her alcoholic husband; i would be a millionaire by now, Korea has a deep seeded alcohol problem which is not even recognise. These people need AA groups and genuine counselling. My heart goes out to all the wives affected by this issue.
hephburn what is even more bizzare how he manages to go to work. its paffling. one think that stand out in koreans is that when they meet someone for the first time they ask how strong drinker they are. and somehow they all look perfect from outside. in europe people who drink that much have very rough look, bad skin and teeth and eventually they lose job and home. but these koreans look normal which is mystery.
hephburn right, same in the U.S Most heavy drinkers over here cannot continue to function through life and you can tell by how they look that they have issues with alcohol. Like hair teeth and skin.
They say they drink to reduce stress, but how stressed wouldn't they be when they only get two hours of sleep because they were up drinking and go to the job still drunk?
hephburn drinking in Korea is a culture, while there are many who overdo the problem... don't compare it to the alcoholics of the rest of the world im nt saying they are better or worse, they just fall into a different character
the husbands are terrible really, nothing new,but can we appreciate Yeongja?Everytime she loses her patience with a stubborn guest a fairy gains it's wings back, seriously, she didn't speak up like this in older episodes,I'm glad she does it more often nowadays
Their alcohol culture is insane. I get it if they drink once in a while, but if I drank alcohol more than 10 times a year, I'd say it's too much. Yet people in South Korea find it acceptable to drink 3 times a week?
The thing about drinking alcohol is that you should make sure to not get dehydrated, not drink on an empty stomach, and to spread out the drinking. If you're thirsty, drink some water, alcohol will only make it worse. Bad drinkers don't. Most people are bad drinkers, but as long as they can handle themselves well, I'm not really going to care about it.
Werewolf211 why do people drink in the first place? do their parents teach them that once the reach a certain age they should drink? why arent they disgusted of it if they know its filtered off worms.
Filtered off worms? Not sure what you're talking about, because that's far from what alcohol is. Still, I don't know why people drink. My parents barely drink alcohol, and I barely drink alcohol, so I guess that has something to do with it. You learn from your surroundings, but I've been in a surrounding where alcohol isn't really present.
The last concern got me in tears!! 😂😂🤣🤣 he just need to find a girl he vibes well with and then take it from there. He too young to be having these kind of problems lol
Why is the last dude so eager to get a girlfriend when he's only like.21? He shouldn't just date anyone because they're female, but actually wait until he founds someone he likes. plus what girl is gonna want to date a guy that has been in a date with basically all the girls in their vicinity? They're obviously gonna think he's a playboy or something. He should just focus on being happy alone and not obsessing over having a girlfriend.
Jeffery from California very well said. he should take things a step at a time. And he definitely sounds like a playboy. Women aren't the same. We are all different. And I'm pretty sure most of us won't date a guy just because of the sake of it. He has to genuinely like the person.
Pressure. He pretty much called himself weird because he hadn't kissed anybody at his age. He obviously feels pressured to do something he's not ready for.
iam so worried about these kids growing up around alcohol, seeing their parents wasted and the argue battle between their parents. kids shouldnt be exposed to any drugs. these kids are crying and in pain. my heart goes to these kids.
I don't know if I just have a different view on marriage, but I don't understand why these women (and sometimes men) stay with their partners for so long. Like I get that divorce is a big thing and a last resort but many of the men say they'll change and never do. Why don't they just divorce them. The second man and first man were just mind blowingly selfish, why someone would stay with them is beyond me.
Cuz the older generation still have a mindset of not leaving each other even though they don't like each other anymore. They mainly do it because they don't want their children to have divorced parents but it's also looked down on by other people which is a pretty big deal in some asian cultures.
It's actually not that easy. A divorce itself is quite costly and you have to prepare for a lot of paperwork and stuff. You need a new apartment and earn enough money to be able to stand on your own feed - and the wifes who usually take the children are in the need to support them. I do share your opinion but I also think that sometimes it might be more convenient for the woman to stay where she is.
Akilah Blair for the kids, maybe financially not stable alone, and socialy not acceptable. people dont look with a good eye on second marriages. Its a cultural thing. Its the asian mentality. Its a whole different world, veiws and morals.
It's sad but true. On top of that women don't have the same opportunities in South Korea so sadly these women literally need men sometimes to provide for their family.
The last dude, don't worry. You're only two years older than me (if he's using his korean age). There are people my age who have never even gone on dates before (aka me xD). Just be patient and surround yourself with people who haven't dated many people either. Hope things work out well for you!
irina shvorin In this context, you are right. But those celebs and news actually show people's international age. We have a specific term for the international age (만 나이 "Man age"). : )
The guy in the last concern needs to just relax and slow down on his girlfriend hunt. I'm pretty sure the girls he dated were not interested in him. Also, why the rush? He's only 21 y.o. Are dating, kissing and holding hands very essential to survive? I don't think so. Sometimes I just don't get some people that really are thirsty for a girlfriend/boyfriend. Just chill and be patient. Your only one will come to you sooner or later.
True.. I have never has boyfriend but i never thought it is so much needed.. I didn't make myself so hungry or other way for being with someone.. I focus on myself to be in good state
It's really difficult to listen to the first concern as someone who grew up with a selfish alcoholic father. The situation is all too familiar. His confidence and adoration of himself even though he's clearly a piece of shit is also familiar. Him and people like him treat others as if we have no feelings. He clearly considers himself the only one who's fully human in that house, everyone else is just an afterthought. I was severely affected by my father's alcoholism and his children will be too. I hope she will have the resources to fully leave in the future. That's torture, not life.
Also, can't edit so I'll just reply. Him saying that he didn't know his family was so stressed out is a goddamn lie. They ALL know, they just don't care. Just the fact that he's still lying is incredible. There's no future for that family. You can't have a future with someone who always puts himself first, even at the severe detriment of his family.
Yeah when a guy starts asking you what are you doing, did you eat, etc. 5 minutes after meeting you for the first time it's a little creepy. Plus, he's hunting for a girlfriend just so he can kiss and hug and do stuff like his friends. He needs to actually find someone he likes and try dating her rather than meeting up with 100+ women a year.
''asking you what are you doing, did you eat, etc. 5 minutes after meeting you for the first time'' I've heard several times that this is encouraged tho. Or else it shows that you're not interested.
Why do I feel like all these husbands don't understand the role of a husband and a father? I don't think when they decided to get married and have a family how much they would have to sacrifice. How can they be so selfish? How come is it women can be so willing to give up everything for their family bt most men can't?
Too many Koreans come on Annyeong with alcohol problems and the wives usually have to endure so much heartache and pain from the husbands because it's taking too much time & focus away from their family life, kids etc at home. It's very sad and annoying. Someone needs to come to realization that alcoholism is a serious issue in Korea that needs to be addressed appropriately. Korea's drinking culture may be linked to a multitude of situations such as stress from work and or depression because of overall daily society, fears of failure etc.
At my job I get at least two customers A DAY telling that I should get a glass of wjne, take a few shots, smoke, when I finish my shift. So my lil old job with how much stress it is I can kind of understand what would drive one to becoming a heavy drinker
my co-worker and I would stop by a bar to get a couple of drinks to get a little buzz before heading home after a very stressful day at work. If you drink enough on a daily basis, you do build a higher alcohol tolerance. The only thing that prevents me from drinking a lot of alcohol is the calories in them.
out of curiosity if a girl asked him out, but she said she doesn't wanna do anything physcial till after marriage, do you think he'd reject her? Like is he looking for a girl, or is he just looking for something physcial ?
not depending these lousy husbands, but if I'm to believe your blanket statement about Asia being the "birthplace of shitty dads and husbands" then would it be reasonable to say following your logic, that all those KPOP idols/celebrities that international fans adore would turn out to be "shitty dads and husbands" in the future?
peko peko One, that comment wasn't meant to be taken seriously, Two, I don't know. Anybody can turn into a shitty dad and husband at any given time, in the future. If I truly believed my "blanket statement" about terrible male parents/spouses in Asia I wouldn't be a fan of Taejoon or ANY male married Asian in for that matter. 😒 I'm not dumb enough to think that an entire continent only produces terrible males. Calm down.
I hope it doesn't influence the kids (that's my main concern), but there are too many alcoholic husbands in general on this show. It's time for a wake up call.
I think the parenting is a big problem in korea. yes, it's truly frustrating seeing those problematic husbands, men. But to narrow down those problems, the major struggling is that mostly man( some women) don't think their weird obsessions, or certain habits causes really big trouble to other people like family, wife, kids, friends, colleges... how could a person so into it's own world, and really insist and stubborn on it? it feels like they are only living for their obsession, that is actually a scary reality! they're not only suffocating others, but themselves are also victims of anxiety, obsession! I think korean should really have an alert on that!don't be stubborn on an old idea which will stuck them in Vicious cycle. they should actively engaging to change the situation. instead of push and test people's nerves until the struggles turn into serious trouble. A TV show like" Hello, counselor" will do just a little help on each case they can approach to, but they don't have that much power to change entire situation.... People are just too passive, lazy and not being responsible in resolving their problem.
No offense but whenever there are drinking problems, I don't think they realize how hard it can actually be to quit and that they need to be checked daily. It is very easy for people to relapse at any day even if they had stayed sober for years.
The last concern, his friend in the middle kinda looks like Hansol(ToppDogg) n his voice sounds like Yongguk(BAP) 😍.. BTW it's just my opinion.. (love bang's deep voice tho 😍)
i never understand why people stay in unhappy marriages.theres no way i wouldve been better off alone or when im single, but im going to stay married and struggle financially because of someone whos selfish and immature. its not just hurting you,it hurts the children also...they didnt ask to be born....ugh
i love the drunk guy's kids, particularly the one with the orange shirt he's adorable and smart. i wish his fam the best. i know it's been a couple months since so i wonder how they've been. And the kid in the last concern...he's cute but way too obsessive to find a gf. It's not like he's looking for a girl b/c he likes her, but he just wants "experience". Plus it's a turn off that he's met more than 100. =_= Once this guy asked me out bc he was eager to date too (i'd witnessed him asking other girls right in front of me!) but i turned him down. i felt bad about it but i really shouldn't have felt that bad bc it doesn't make sense to ask out someone u barely have talked to or know all random! i think that desperation isn't appealing. girls see it. it should be bc ur LIKED or they LIKE u a lot that u should date, not bc ur just interested in the dating _process_
the first concern it's remained me of my dad they are they same drinking hobbit it's really tiring watching parent fighting in front of their kid's coz it's not really good.. I khnow coz I experience that so many time and I hate it..
I really don't get why people notice these behaviour, yet proceed with the marriage...whatever you find annoying will only become stressful after marriage....Then instead of being married to your soul mate...you will be married to your cell mate...do not think you can change a person...
I'm feeling bad for the wife in second concern as you can see she didn't smile in entire episode. She is holding a lot inside that may be definitely blast one day.
Tbh if a guy came to a date and stuffed his face I would only feel more comfortable and less pressured. But there would have to be a set date first lol he can't just show up randomly
Blessed barnes maybe there is more that they didnt share and discuss. maybe he asks the girl where she lives and want to sleep with her and already act like a boyfriend, like forcing himself as a boyfriend on her. while she didnt decide yet to be his girfriend. and maybe he is obsessive and a stalker.
Should i say korea really support drinking and smoking.. Because the way, couple or family is coming for problem happening because of these is so much.. They should really not promote it.. Because they talk so easily and coolly about drinking and smoking like it is their cocacola
no wonder korea has such a low birth rate, marriage must be seem like a nightmare for a young woman. kinda sad though since they had one of the most modern and beautiful country
if i didn't just like girls, id so have dated the last guy! he's good-looking, cute, funny (to me), his voice is so nice and he seems like a total cutie. i hope he finds someone lovely that'll treat him well & he will treat well!
The guy from Rose Motel looks soooo much better without his ratty beard I always knew he could do it I'm so happy he got rid of it I love Rose Motel songs but man I hated his hair
ok i had to comment after watch the first two concerns. wth is wrong with these husbands?!?They are self fish and are in no shape to be the head of the family. The two wives need to divorce them and move on with their lives. They deserve better and it honestly sounds like they have checked out of the relationship emotionally a while ago....
I swear, Yeongja is the best thing on this show these days, she starting to speak up and call out what is wrong with the situation. When she called the first guy out and he backed down. 😂
but he never said he was a manly man they did...
When you used to watch Hello Counselor for the idols that came as guest and now you're addicted to the show no matter who the guest is...
If i had a dime every time a wife came on the show for her alcoholic husband; i would be a millionaire by now, Korea has a deep seeded alcohol problem which is not even recognise. These people need AA groups and genuine counselling. My heart goes out to all the wives affected by this issue.

almost every episode there's one concern related to alcohol. From the father to husband to son... soju, beer, wine and even homemade alcohol...
the husbands are terrible really, nothing new,but can we appreciate Yeongja?Everytime she loses her patience with a stubborn guest a fairy gains it's wings back, seriously, she didn't speak up like this in older episodes,I'm glad she does it more often nowadays
WHEN THE OLDER BROTHER GOT ASKED IF HE WOULD DRINK WHEN HE GROWS UP AND HE STARTED SMILING ISTG LMAO
Korea really has a serious alcohol problem. They really need to do something about it. The amount of drunk husbands that come on this show is insane
Their alcohol culture is insane. I get it if they drink once in a while, but if I drank alcohol more than 10 times a year, I'd say it's too much. Yet people in South Korea find it acceptable to drink 3 times a week?
they have a serious problem with being able to handle alcohol
I'm 18, and I can drink straight for 2 hours and still be myself

Aww! The younger brother in the 1st concern is so adorable! His face at 25:26 when his dad promised he'd quit drinking for a month is so cute!
The last concern got me in tears!! 😂😂🤣🤣 he just need to find a girl he vibes well with and then take it from there. He too young to be having these kind of problems lol

these kids are crying and in pain.
my heart goes to these kids.
Sudi Mohamed kids will be alcohol addict too like their father...but later the father will be upset and complain about it
Well stop worrying bitch
These ppl in the name of moderness normalise drinking, smoking so much that future generations is also become like this
I feel sorry for Korean wives they treat them like maids take care of the kids cook me food wth
Agreed. It's one thing if that's their own choice, but to force them into it is just wrong.
tbh the whole Asian marriage life is like tht
Proud Muslimah Alhamdulilah uuhm... a show about PROBLEM families is hardly representative of a modern nation
bangtan butterfly you're wrong and generalizing
Lol shut up

Grace Osas of course hes using hes korean age,hes korean in korea
irina shvorin In this context, you are right. But those celebs and news actually show people's international age. We have a specific term for the international age (만 나이 "Man age"). : )
Tony Choi Yeah, that was what I meant. But I now know that 만 is used when referring to International ages.
yeah. sometimes it's confusing to us too. So Koreans often just ask when you were born. like 1997 1987. I find this easier haha. : )
Tony Choi dude, if i know whats korean age is be sure i know what i international age is..
The guy in the last concern needs to just relax and slow down on his girlfriend hunt. I'm pretty sure the girls he dated were not interested in him. Also, why the rush? He's only 21 y.o. I really love this show !
I love Rose Motel 💛💛💛 Legit the group you could chill with and have so much fun. otherwise, my unnie Yeong Ja....killing it as usual 💯💯
It's really difficult to listen to the first concern as someone who grew up with a selfish alcoholic father. The situation is all too familiar. The third concern guy kinda seems like he could be an obsessive creepy stalker guy.
Right?!
Justin Kwon I agree 😂
Yeah when a guy starts asking you what are you doing, did you eat, etc. 5 minutes after meeting you for the first time it's a little creepy. Plus, he's hunting for a girlfriend just so he can kiss and hug and do stuff like his friends. He needs to actually find someone he likes and try dating her rather than meeting up with 100+ women a year.
Yep yep. The classic stalker from those dramas.
''asking you what are you doing, did you eat, etc. 5 minutes after meeting you for the first time''
I've heard several times that this is encouraged tho. Or else it shows that you're not interested.
the last dude about the 130 date concern, one of his friend he invited (the middle one) is rly cute 😂😂😍😍
I just skipped through the first and second concern... How many horrible husbands can there be? I feel for the wives.
Why do I feel like all these husbands don't understand the role of a husband and a father? I don't think when they decided to get married and have a family how much they would have to sacrifice. How can they be so selfish? How come is it women can be so willing to give up everything for their family bt most men can't?
OMG I watched Jeni Juno about 10 years ago and the film was great!!! 💕💕💕💕
PLEASE GIVE LOTS OF LOVE TO ROSE MOTEL, THEY ARE AN AMAZING BAND !!!!! Two great songs to get to know them : Please call me oppa and I'll get off
I never knew Park Minji was this awesome! c:::
Too many Koreans come on Annyeong with alcohol problems and the wives usually have to endure so much heartache and pain from the husbands because it's taking too much time & focus away from their family life, kids etc at home. the woman from the second concern is gorgeous!
park min ji❤rwally admired hope you came to many variety show
I love Yeongja this episode, she faced the drunk husband so well!
The last guy reminds me a bit of Jin from BTS he likes to eat, likes dad jokes and he laughs at his own jokes
Marolyn Gomez true i though about him too. but jin isnt shy at all and pretty full of himself
true :)
Marolyn Gomez and suho from exo 😂😂
i cant stand when i see that children suffer....My blood is boiling.
At my job I get at least two customers A DAY telling that I should get a glass of wjne, take a few shots, smoke, when I finish my shift. So my lil old job with how much stress it is I can kind of understand what would drive one to becoming a heavy drinker

is Hello Counselor always posted on Tuesday now?
out of curiosity if a girl asked him out, but she said she doesn't wanna do anything physcial till after marriage, do you think he'd reject her? Like is he looking for a girl, or is he just looking for something physcial ?
I'm beginning to believe Asia is the birthplace of shitty dads and husbands. and My two favorite hosts! Yeonja and Taejoon! 😁😁😁😁
not depending these lousy husbands, but if I'm to believe your blanket

I hope it doesn't influence the kids (that's my main concern), but there are too many alcoholic husbands in general on this show. It's time for a wake up call.
you know why i clicked on this?.. to say, that this woman in the thumbnail has a cute hairstyle! :3
edit: this woman = park minji ^^
How I try to drink less soda a week before I'm legal to drink
Just watch Hello Counselor
Concern 1 = 3:21
Concern 2 = 26:21

First time to be this early
I can't believe he got rejected for 130 times. Wow
I REMEMBER JENNI AND JUNO! LOL
Tae Joon's voice here is dammn nice!!
the last guy was cute af and handsome too

BTW it's just my opinion..
(love bang's deep voice tho 😍)
Kyudong's so cute 😆
What!!!!!! she's Jany?
Jany, Jono was my favourite movie.
But watched the movie 1 years ago.
Because, I'm a teenager.
i never understand why people stay in unhappy marriages.theres no way i wouldve been better off alone or when im single, but im going to stay married and struggle financially because of someone whos selfish and immature. its not just hurting you,it hurts the children also...they didnt ask to be born....ugh
can somebody give me the social media account of Lee (the last guy) i'm in love with him
i love the drunk guy's kids, particularly the one with the orange shirt he's adorable and smart. i wish his fam the best. i know it's been a couple months since so i wonder how they've been. the first concern it's remained me of my dad they are they same drinking hobbit it's really tiring watching parent fighting in front of their kid's coz it's not really good.. I khnow coz I experience that so many time and I hate it..
This is the girl from Jeni and Juno? I cant even recognise her!!She was so lovely in the movie

The first guy reminds me of my dad and that's exactly the reason why my mom and dad are no longer together

得意万里子さんクォンサンウさん好き残って愛して忘れない
The 2nd one would be better off as an interior designer
I really don't get why people notice these behaviour, yet proceed with the marriage...whatever you find annoying will only become stressful after marriage....Then instead of being married to your soul mate...you will be married to your cell mate...do not think you can change a person...
I'm feeling bad for the wife in second concern as you can see she didn't smile in entire episode. She is holding a lot inside that may be definitely blast one day.
the last guy has social networks??
for the second concern just play the sims if you like decorating and renovating xD it really helps
Sorry but who are rose motel ㅎㅅㅎ
i like dongyeops sweater
Can I date that guy in the last concern?? I'm 21 too 😃 He seems to be pure straightforward and sweet.. Can we b friends 😅😂
idk i would date the guy in 3rd concern he seems sweet 🙃
Tbh if a guy came to a date and stuffed his face I would only feel more comfortable and less pressured. But there would have to be a set date first lol he can't just show up randomly

Sasha Lopez facts hes everything i look for in a guy😻 looks and behavior
Blessed barnes maybe there is more that they didnt share and discuss. maybe he asks the girl where she lives and want to sleep with her and already act like a boyfriend, like forcing himself as a boyfriend on her. while she didnt decide yet to be his girfriend. and maybe he is obsessive and a stalker.
Should i say korea really support drinking and smoking.. Because the way, couple or family is coming for problem happening because of these is so much.. They should really not promote it.. Because they talk so easily and coolly about drinking and smoking like it is their cocacola
I dont understand why people drink in the first place.. why are they disgusted and afraid of worms but can manage to drink worm filtered liquids.
Last concern surprise 36 votes, even 10 votes is laughing stock.. That guy is sexualy curiosity not emotionaly feel love for girl
I think the last one is because of his friends he couldnt get to date the girl more.
no wonder korea has such a low birth rate, marriage must be seem like a nightmare for a young woman. kinda sad though since they had one of the most modern and beautiful country
This be true but also because the amount of alcohol people consume makes pregnancies hard as well.
if i didn't just like girls, id so have dated the last guy! he's good-looking, cute, funny (to me), his voice is so nice and he seems like a total cutie. i hope he finds someone lovely that'll treat him well & he will treat well!
Safak Frank LMAO YES
I can't believe people were laughing in the first concern, it's so fucking disgusting
The guy from Rose Motel looks soooo much better without his ratty beard I always knew he could do it I'm so happy he got rid of it I love Rose Motel songs but man I hated his hair

Sigh the husband needs to stick his legs together....
He's just working his wife to the bone bc he wants to be comfortable.
Rose Motel are married?! NOOOOO!
ok i had to comment after watch the first two concerns. wth is wrong with these husbands?!?They are self fish and are in no shape to be the head of the family. The two wives need to divorce them and move on with their lives. They deserve better and it honestly sounds like they have checked out of the relationship emotionally a while ago....
all these irresponsible husbands -_-
