This is a GOOD sound demo ..... unlike so many TH-cam posts that end up just sounding like another studio over-production, you can actually hear what the AMP itself is doing. Well-done.
Have you ever owned one? I owned one for about 15 years...flawless, period. I put thousands of hours on my Chieftain...completely the single best amp for any price I've ever owned. I've played guitar since 1968...owned so many amps, I cannot recall. This is the most well built amp you'll ever play through...sound, preference, but quality of timbre, superb, stellar, Class A all the way. Worth every dime to thousands of professional players.
this is ridiculous. this is the most phenomenal guitar tone i've ever heard in my entire existence of 21 years.
awesome amp. the breakup on the gain is very warm. clean its very articulate.
Badass amp to get your hands on! Lucky duck.
I do love how they incorporated the pilot lamps in the lettering.
Best amp ever made
OMG! I WANT THIS THING!
Awesomeness:)
I've just died and gone to guitar heaven, a truly awesome amp.. :D
Rob, great playing! Good video, put please you must admit the quality of the recorded sound does not do justice to this amp. Of course to be expected to an extent with you tube videos in many instances. I say this respectably, you've done quite a lot of good work all over. Thanks for your work!
Love that classic sounding tremolo...
Damn I want to know if I do a Top Boost build what circuit to add to get a Matchless tone or closer to one
@rickyjshiznit
I could only assume. That's essentially what the tone knob on your guitar controls. One of my Amp's settings turns the mid knob into a "tone knob". In that mode, when the mid knob is all the way down, the mids show through, but when it's all the way up it sounds muffled and fuzzy.
Otherwise... I don't know how an amp could operate without some form of Midrange frequency control.
@rickyjshiznit
It's very possible that the "Tone" knob is the Mid control.
Is Rob playing with an effects pedal for that saturated Distortion sound? if so what is it? please
Nice to see Chappers using a 'real man's guitar halfway through... ;-) That 335 looks very similar to the one I've just bought from WG... awesome cops though Rob... the guitar playing's not bad either...! ;-))))
What modeling amp are you using? The Axe FX system is the closest I've heard to anything, but it's incredibly expensive and you still don't get the same reaction as you would with real tubes..
@rickyjshiznit Yeah that's completely possible. I hadn't noticed there's no presence control, so It's definitely more likely that the tone represents presence.
Wich is the difference between the HC-30 and the C-30?
@GeetarGuy101 there is one check all videos was posted a while back now tho matey
could you do a demo of a mesa mark 5
Did you play with any pedal? Sound likes it is. thanks
+andy nguyen Definitely pedals....
there isnt a mid control in the eq?
U the english zakk wylde !!
@CosmicNed I meant Chops!!!!
Sounds exactly like my BadCat Hotcat 30R head, for obvious reasons :P
BLACKSYNTH just ordered a Sampson era 30r. Should come this week. Stoked.
sounds bad ace love it my pedal models this amp or the dc 30 lol
@Fairyplay Of course they pay him for this stuff. He was even given that PRS as a thank you gift for everything he's done for them.
Close enough...and close...are two different things. I've heard good tones that I would definitely enjoy using for recordings and home jamming, but nothing that made me think I'd never go out and buy a real Vox, Marshall, Orange, Mesa Boogie, etc. I'm saving up patiently for the stuff I really want and dreaming about the rest I don't need. LOL
Nice amps sound nice but the price theres lots of great amps out there which sound great just as good nowadays for half the price
Can you give a few suggestions?
is this shop like, pure custom shiz?
@Fairyplay chappers does get paid xD that guitar he's playing in the video world guitars gave him for being so good..... the reason why chappers does the advertising for world guitars is because he is good friends with the owner
Will someone buy me one?
baxendall EQ - turning bass and treble up turns down mids and vice versa.
@SteeleInd well they could just have the bass controlling the lower half of the mid along with the bass and the treble controlling the higher half of the mid along with the normal amount of treble. for me it would make more sense if the tone controlled the presence
What if they just really liked the sound personally? Can't someone with deep enough pockets for their hobby or career just buy what tickles their fancy?
Pretty nice, but for my budget, the new modeling amps get close enough and it's like having every great amp ever made all in one.
@SteeleInd is it? i dont know shit about matchless
Isn't it really silly (and I'm being kind) for a manufacturer to rely on so many effects when it produces a demo of an outstanding amp? The HC30 is one of the best sounding heads ever. Demo the amp, not the reverb, echo, delay and compression pedals.
the girl in the advertisement before this video was fking hot!
first to comment!
Stagg ga10? Err, ok
I am not worth it. Some day perhaps.
hah chappers
o wait not the gibson
Nice amp, those are some wack-ass guitars though.
This isn't a presentation of an amp It sounds like the dude just wants to sell his products - hand made or not - and I can't get why you're doing this Chappers. Why don't you give us some of your thoughts about the amplifier ?
I like how you play, but the dude in the background telling me that I NEED that amp is a little too much...
Advertising makes money of course, but you shouldn't go that way.
Or, if you do, I really hope the guy in the shirt pays you. Just as Anderton's should.
Comparing this to a modeling amp! How dare you, I guess you don't play guitar at all. It is like comparing kissing a plastic doll (the wayyyyy to overpriced modeling amps) to a real warm-blooded lady with a lot of passion (one that gets better each year...) lol,,,,
