    very informative ma'am. glad to hear the pros kasi natakot talaga ako. haha. lalo kapag nagbabasa ako ng articles about problems encountered by other teachers there na nababanggit sa articles.

    • @Teachingandmore

      opo talaga sir nakakatakot kasi iba ang dating pag galing sa kwento... pero ang totoo hindi naman lahat ganun. Marami ring misconceptions na nabubuo dahil sa mga kwento kwento. Kasi ang basic principle naman ay hindi pare pareho ang experiences at kahit pare pareho ang experiences iba iba ang mga teachers ng pag respond at pag handle ng situations. Maalaki ring role ang ginagampanan ng mga "expectations" na mayroon ka bago ka pa man duon pumunta. Pero totoo na pinakamahalaga ang "classroom/behavior management" dapat bago ka pa man sumabak ay paghandaan na ito. Magbasa, manood ng mga informative na videos. Iadjust ang expectations at maging handa na matuto. Lahat ng pupunta duon ay mag uumpisa sa pag-aaral muli. Have you seen my video on classroom management? :) Meron din akong video about school fights. hahahaha. Salamat sir sa pag bisita sa aking channel.

    I would like to offer some free advice. You should hesitate before accepting a teaching position in an inner city ghetto school in the following locations: NYC, Newark, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Chicago, St Louis, Detroit, Minneapolis or Los Angeles. The vast majority of the students from these locations lack discipline and basic life skills. If you disregard my advice you will be extremely frustrated.

      I did not have a child during my application. I gave birth to my son in the US. But this visa allows your family (husband and kids) as your dependents. Their visa is called J2. You can take them with you and travel with you or they can follow. Either is fine.

    • @Teachingandmore
      @Teachingandmore  ปีที่แล้ว

      well, if your visa is J1, it's not possible because you have to go home after 5 years unless you have an approved waiver. If your visa is H1b in that school, then yeah. :)

    Question ma'am a teacher like you applying to teach here in the U.S. Did the school covers your insurance and also have teachers union? Thank you😊

    • @Teachingandmore
      @Teachingandmore  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The school did not cover my insurance. The insurance is one that's accredited by the visa sponsor. Teacher's union membership is also optional and the teacher will pay the membership fee. I never joined the teacher union during my stay there.

    nice video! i heard you need to get a teaching license first in order for you to apply, how did you do it?

    • @Teachingandmore
      @Teachingandmore  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! In the Philippines, after completing (graduating) your Bachelor's degree in education, you could take your licensure exam. If you pass the test, then you will receive your license. Teaching in the US on a J1 and H1b visas require that you have a valid teaching license from your home country.

      Pre-school might be a little challenging in terms of looking for visa sponsors. It's challenging but not impossible. I think you have more chances if you work on an H1b visa than a J1 visa. I am saying this because if you look at the J1 visa program sponsors' websites they are looking for primary to secondary school teachers.

    Hello mam. Is teaching there different from the Philippines? How about lesson planning? Is it the same?

    • @Teachingandmore
      @Teachingandmore  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are differences and similarities. In terms of paperworks and other nonteaching related stuff there's so much less in the US. If it's a nonteaching stuff and to be done after school, you will be paid.

      yes you can stay up to 5 years but must go back to your home country or the country where you obtained your j1 visa for physical presence for 2 years (does not have to be continuous). If you obtained a waiver, then you can stay after 5 years and apply for a new visa like H1b.
