The "Coolers" were put on the Ships to store things Royal sold, Pop, water, candy. They'd come in daily, stock up anything you consumed and charge your Cabin These ones are little colder then on her Sister Ships with the plug in black shelves. Just spent 3weeks on Radiance, they did great job cleaning her up on the extended Dry Dock in March
Hi there, and thanks for sharing your knowledge about the coolers on the Royal ships! I know Carnival also has some coolers on their older ships, but it’s nice that the cruise lines are finally replacing them with refrigerators on the newer ships.
How fun that you got to be on the Radiance for 3 weeks! I heard that she was going into dry dock, I’m sure it was amazing to be able to sail on her when she was all freshened up! 🤗🛳️
What was your favorite area that was new and improved?
Howdy, Weinke's! RCL's loyalty program is Crown & Anchor. After 17 sailings and Diamond status, they don't give much! I believe the robes are reserved for suites. I have yet to experience an inside cabin. We had one for Allure but finally won a Royal Up to a balcony. I have never seen the tissue dispenser filled, but I see you found them, they are usually in a vanity drawer. I never understood those odd decorative curtains! I have a European outlet adapter so that I can utilize one of those as well. And yes, if you don't mind room location you can definitely save money with a guaranteed room!
Hi Lorra! Yes! Crown and Anchor. I don’t know why I could not think of that at the time. That is amazing that you have reached diamond status with Royal! Do you have any favorite perks that you do get at that level? Sounds like the robes are not one of them. Thanks for sharing your opinions about the cabins, upgrades and such. That is good to hear that Royal does offer upgrades! Also a great idea to get the European plug adapter.
It seems you can never have enough plug-ins! 😂
Hi, Tammy! As Diamond members we receive 4 free alcoholic drinks per day. Enough for us, so we don't buy that package. We also get one free photo per member, so always take a boarding shot. We also get a few water bottles left in our room. They used to leave a plate of cookies, too. We miss those! Our favorite perk is the Crown Lounge. Only for Diamond and up. Wonderful hot hors d'ourves from 5-8pm, a coffee/espresso machine and continental breakfast available. We like that the Concierge there can help us with reservations and other issues. There are other discounts I am forgetting (bottles of wine, etc).
Wow, that sounds like a lot of great perks ! Especially the alcohol. That would certainly be enough for us too. I guess we’ll just have to start going on more Royal Caribbean cruises to earn our way up the ladder! 🤗
That interior room was nicer than carnival you got a nice couch.you dont have one in and interior on carnival...we always pay for interior rooms.now if they up grade us wiht out paying for it we take it...😊😊😊😊
I agree, Teresa! We felt that the interior room was nicer than Carnival’s also. It is nice to save a few dollars, and we really don’t mind the interior at all either! We are out and about so much on the ship, that it rarely matters. Always nice to have a balcony, but definitely not required. 🛳️
Nice tour! We've been thinking about booking an RC cruise and it's good to see what a room is like on an older ship.
Thanks! We would definitely book another RC ship if we can find a good deal. The cabins were in good shape for being a little older. 😊

Hi there, I listened again to the video, but I’m not hearing much noise? I’m guessing you might be hearing the air conditioning/air ventilation. It really wasn’t bothersome, and it actually helped to drown out any hallway noise. 😊
