Nice home, lots of families are looking for a master and guess on the main level in a 2 story home. Especially middle aged owners with aging parents coming for a visit or stay, very hard to find.
Lorac, you are correct. Owner's and guest suites on the main is rare.

I lived in Atlanta and really loved it but it's grown by leaps and bounds. Traffic is terrible even with I-75 being 7 lanes in both directions and the addition of GA-400 (both are expressways). But it is an exciting place to live. So many really cool places like Virginia Highlands and Little Five Points, the Fox theater, the Abbey, and Soooo Much More. There's an amazing hotel right across from the Fox theater, the Georgian Terrace. When Gone With The Wind premiered at the Fox the Grand Reception was held at the Georgian Terrace. Not just a hotel but apartment's to rent or lease but it's very pricey. Our family spent Christmas there a few years ago in an apartment with full kitchen, full size laundry room and the bedrooms and baths were modern luxury. Met a concierge that knew the entire history of the hotel. He told me what was left after the fire and salvaged like the gorgeous marble staircases and hand railings. Everybody should check it out. Sorry for the ramble it is a fabulous place to live.

Janice, I am hooked on watching your house tours. From what I've observed, the new home offerings in the 400-500k range seem to be the sweet spot for value. Gated, views, large lots, FP in master, SUBZERO/WOLFE in kitchen, solid core doors @ 1 plus million are the custom touches. This house is amazing in that aspect. Certain details of the construction are what you'd expect in homes priced 200k more. Many houses may have more square footage but in most instances they have redundant spaces. How many rec rooms/media rooms do you really need? Incidentally, I'm a homeowner in the SF bay area in Ca. In the Bay Area , eg. Palo Alto, they are asking 4.99million for 3100 sq. ft. on ).2 acres (8092 sq. ft.) Our median house out here is 1.5 million which is 3/2.5 on 6-7k sf lot. When I come your way to buy my question won't be HOW MUCH..it will be HOW MANY..LOL.

I love all the chandeliers in this house, but the closet space in the bedrooms are lacking. The family room/kitchen areas seemed a little tight.
Love that lot, great for runoff. The only miss was the master closet, either it should be larger or have a second one.
Stonedog, I have to agree. I do think the closet could have been larger but with all the other pluses, it would not be a deal breaker for me.
Atlanta Homes for Sale No doubt, it’s a fantastic home.
I like the concept of having a Master Bedroom on the main floor but don't like that there isn't one on the 2nd floor. What if someone wanted to have a Mother in Law suite on the first floor? You then have to share a bathroom with your children or get a really tiny walk in closet in the bedroom with it's own bath. After awhile all of the model homes start looking the same with the same lay out. You did a great job Janice of touring it! Just wish builders were more creative.

It’s absolutely stunning, good staging job. I’m curious about the hay stuff you guys use on the gardens in your area. It always seems to be a mess blown around the front door, porch and all over the lawn. We use finely shredded mulch in different colors in Canada or river rock. I’ve never seen this long hay stuff used before. My husband would just die if that was his precious grass, lol.
Jennifer, it is called pine straw and it is quite popular here for use in landscape to control weeds and for beautification. In fact, when correctly applied it does give your landscape a pop. We also use mulch.
