Love seeing CMDRs using the eagle, it's a really skill based ship, that one utility slot makes stuff difficult if you're fighting missiles. Good flying o7

I tried doing the same with ASP Explorer and railguns with plasma slug + long-range. The result.. were.. suboptimal. Yours is significantly better than mine
I think next time you should take a COMBAT ship for COMBAT purposes, exceptions are the krait ships, they are better at combat than most if you really want an amazing experience i suggest a double plasma accelerator Vulture build, that thing slaps
Poor asp explorer haha. I always struggled with flying them too. Try long range thermal cascade cannons! Asp needs tons of hull reinforcements for ramming
I learned how to use railguns (long range, plasma slug too) on an AspX too, it wasn't a good experience. Railguns are hard to aim, so you have to stay close to the enemies to hit anyway. Because of that, might as well ditch long range for something more useful. And also, you need a very nimble ship (not an AspX) with a small footprint to evade enemy shots.
you should do more boost turns. just toggle flight assist for a split sec, boost, and hard turn. you'll sort of drift around the target maintaining LOS the whole time. Makes it real easy to get behind and stay behind less maneuverable ships, which in the eagle is all of them lol regardless nice flyin cmdr o7
I got Elite Dangerous a day ago and went to try it out. I like it so far. Doing bounty hunting. You are very good at manoeuvres, are you doing those without the flight assist?
This is really hard to fight using railguns in FAOff Mode. This is much easier by using mouse, but for joystick terrible. Thats why I'm using FAOn for this weapon and the same for Guardian Gaussguns. O7
Lovely fights! Any pointers on the build? I fly an imp eagle with rails, and I’ve tinkered a bit with engineering, but I’m still pretty new to the whole thing. Any help would be appreciated!
You have to position yourself near the enemies' sides. Since in Elite, ships have a trash yaw rate but good pitch, you want to exploit this vulnerability as much as possible. Example : 24:52
Been playing the game for a long time, what engineering did you use for this? whats the build? I have a friend of mine looking for something like this since he just started
o7 A question: did you engineered the ship with PP low emissions and drives to clean to make it as cold as possible, or it couldn't afford the rails energy so you had to engineer it to overpowered? I think that you could make the ship shieldless, all top engineered hull armor, so you can make it cold and have got enough energy. But I don't know because it's a small ship and maybe a shield is better because it hasn't got many optional internals for hull reinforcements. Maybe I'll try it. I made a full engineered all burst lasers chief that way, really cold and lots of energy, but that ship has got plenty of slots for hull reinforcements. Anyway, nice video! o7
Eagle is hard for engineering. First of all it has one utility only, less than Sidewinder. It means that you have to use chaff module which is "must have" for this small ship and nothing more. And what about point defence? What will protect this ship against missiles? That's why shield tank is better option IMHO. Speed is second very important parameter, and clean upgrade for thrusters decrease it. Try to modify and check results if you wish :) . O7
It is possible to use this build for pvp. Depends of opponent and his skill and ship's build. Power plant is engineered as "overcharged->thermal spread" and you have to set lower power priorities for some modules.
One of the greatest things in this game is wide spectrum of engineering modifications. Try to do it by yourself, it is really fun. I showed some results of my engineering, and of course skill in combat is very important too. O7
"confuses the attacker" yes it confuses in why are you doing this, but it doesn't confuse in where the position is. You are right in some cases but I think that it just distracts the attacker causing him to lose lock, rather than actually throwing him off track.
nice however you took a beating against them. If you take a large ship into that same zone you could have killed 10 ships without any hull damage and much faster too. I will never understand the balance of the game small ships get nuked 90% of the time. As far as those 10 % are elite pilots I guess vs poor pilots. The small ships are good for hunting in packs. Unless they come up against a pack of large ships then they are probably screwed.
Just like modern jets, small ships like the eagle could use their superior agility to aim torpedo's and rockets at larger ships. large ships have it harder to aim torpedo's at other ships because of their bad manoeuvre ability. But only having 4 torpedos as storage is not really viable because the damage output isnt comparable to a bunch of laser weapons in the long run.

@@azzorek And what experimental? You nuked the courier 70% hull health -> 7% in one volley it was really cool
how come when it says youre taking heat damage, your health doesnt actually go down?
Heat damage has main influence on modules condition. More heat damages = worse precentage modules condition.
Check 16:27. Taking heat damage implicates chaff malfunction for example.
What's this emerald outlines visual glitch?
It’s not a glitch, he’s got night vision mode enabled in his ship

how are you not taking any damage from overheating?
they are, they look at the modules and theres quite a lot of internal damage.
He is taking damage from Heat. Between 100% and 149% Heat you take damage on modules only. After 150% you take on Hull too.
Slight heat issue
what class are these railguns ?
These are class 1 railguns. Eagle doesn't have class 2 hardpoints.
it is even FAon eagle mk2 !
How are you doing these super fast turns?
You have to modify thrusters as dirty and drag drives. Check your joystick sensitive settings also in game options.

he was avoiding his fire by spinning, his shield didnt get below 80%
Spinning on the center of the ship doesn't do anything except for make you dizzy or lose your enemy.
@@mynameisjundertag3568 no you mis-understand, the spinning confuses the attacker, thus causing them to miss. Pro strat.

If you need a challenge, play War Thunder. You'll see more quality action in an afternoon than you would in a week of fighting NPCs.
You will also have to grind for ten years to get one decent tank/plane. That game sucks balls.
