"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell, representing nature. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable, right?
My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity).
SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace.
The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal.
Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius.

Dami is the main rapper and her rap part is where she's sitting in front of the painting. She writes her own rap parts and creates the choreography for her rap part on stage.

they built different! real instruments, real vocals, they do it old school in an industry imo is a little more show than substance.
bon voyage is part 3 of their apocalypse trilogy which is essentially about mankind reconnecting with the planet in order to save it. there's a lot going on so I don't want to write an essay here lol. maison is part 1 and vision is part 2, both like all of their songs are very different from one another. they also have a lot of non-rock and slow songs as well, something for everyone.
Dreamcatcher has been around since 2017 so they have a lot of material for you to dig into! They are one of the very few 3rd gen girl groups still active in the industry, a really marvelous feat considering they are from a small company and sticking to a concept (rock) that is not popular in their home market.
I'm really loving your journey with Dreamcatcher so far and I know you just started but you've found a blackhole that there's no escaping from.
Blackpink was my introduction to K-Pop as well back during the first few months of lock down in 2020. I then stumbled across Everglow and Stray Kids', God's Menu, and both of those groups grabbed my attention. Then a few months later I saw a video called Scream by Dreamcatcher that had a woman in a black dress carrying a sword as the thumbnail. I watched that MV and immediately fell in love with them. Eventually I got around to checking out all of their music and they very quickly became my Ult group, not just in K-Pop, but in all of music.
Getting a little teary eyed during a Dreamcatcher song isn't that uncommon so when you said, "my eyes don't know what to do", I felt that. Their powerful vocals combined with their sweeping epic instrumentals can often invoke those types of emotions. I've seen reactors check out some of DCs songs like Bonvoyage and bawl on a first listen to the group.
Since you asked about some of the members again, I'm going to give you some information on them based on who they look in this MV. This is in age order, which is how they're always presented. Also, the positions haven't been updated since debut so I would take them with a grain of salt.
Jiu - Leader, lead vocal, lead dancer, visual. She's the one in the acoustic pre-chorus sections.
Sua - Main dancer, lead rapper, vocal. She's the one who sings the line "Maybe you don't but I Love You" leading into the second chorus. She's also the one who has the first high note coming out of the bridge. The first build up
Siyeon - Main vocal - She's the one with the blue hair in this MV and hits the really high powerful note in the final chorus.
Handong - vocalist - red hair in this MV, she sings the first line at the beginning of the second verse.
Yoohyeon - Lead Vocalist - short brown hair, she is the one who starts the song off and begins the second chorus.
Dami - Main rapper, lead dancer - silver hair in this MV. she is the one who had the sing/rap section. Her style changes a lot from song to song to fit the vibe. OOTD was more of a mumble rap and this is more of a softer talk/sing rap section. She also sings in songs but that's mostly in b-sides.
Gahyeon - lead rapper, vocalist. She also has red hair and is the one who ends the song.

Edit: I just saw that you have a bunch of Ateez reactions on your channel as well. Ateez and Dreamcatcher share producers. Leez and Ollounder, who are part of Edenary (Ateez production group) have been Dreamcatcher's main producers since debut. Leez recently left to work with another group so the other members of Edenary have been collaborating with Ollounder to fill in the void left by his departure.

Dreamcatcher always have elements of rock in their title tracks, but their b-sides incorporate everything from jazz to psytrance!

Haha so funny you chose the only two Dreamcatcher singles with chill Dami raps. But yeah, their style is basically combining typical kpop elements like choreo and pop harmonies with rock elements, and they find new ways to do it with every era. You'll never get bored here lol

Hi, welcome here again :D And again not the easiest entry point to fully get DreamCatcher as Bonvoyage is the 3rd and final part of their Apocalypse trilogy, so getting the message of the M/V is not easy without the context provided by the other two videos. But I think at this point it is more important to get a better introduction to their music for which I would make a recommendation: Do an album reaction either to Apocalypse: From us (Title track is BonVoyage) or to Villains (Title track is OOTD). Both EPs are 4 songs + intro and you have covered the title track, so pretty much the remaining fits into a 20 min video. Both EPs would mean one new intro and 3 B-Sides and honestly both EPs showcase their music very well. Rising or Propose color coded videos are perfect showcases of their vocal skills, Demian or Shatter special clips / dance performance videos are just nuts on their own right while To you is a beautiful ballad while We are young is the perfect EDM concert banger.

Funnily enough, I followed a similar path into k-pop: BP introduced me to k-pop, groups like (G)I-dle and Everglow made me more interested in it, and then Dreamcatcher turned my world upside down, becoming not only my favourite k-pop group but one of my favs in general. Maison starts the trilogy that this ends and the rap part in that is very distinct, and wicked. Boca has a distinct rap AND the gorgeous belt. BEcause switches through a lot of different genres and makes a really interesting new thing out of them. It hardly matters what you pick next because Dreamcatcher will get you with something no matter what song it is 😁.
