    Yum! Hey Henry, here's a tip for pressing sandwiches: spritz a little water on both sides, enough to cover instead of adding fat. While there's nothing wrong with a little fat, the water heats, then steams through the center, rehydrating the bread and heating the inside quicker, and outside will get just as crispy. One precaution, you can't move it until its ready, but it won't stick. Its also great for open sandwiches, pizza, or anything where you won't use the lid.

    Hi Henry...I made the soup in A3500. It was delicious. I have only 2 cons: the soup turn out foamy/ airy. And soup wasn't piping hot.

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Judy! Did you put olive oil in the soup before blending? That greatly reduces foam. The foam comes from the acidic tomatoes. As for the soup being hot, I always heat up broth on the stove or microwave before using it to make soup in the Vitamix. This way it shortens blend time and you will get piping hot soup.

    • @judynaruse3811

      @@BlendingWithHenry yes, I did add olive oil but I think less than 2 tbsp. I used the pre set soup button to blend, so should I not use this function if I pre heat the broth?

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, if you preheat the broth then I would recommend using only the variable speed control. Slowly increase it to the highest speed and perhaps 3 minutes of blending.

      @@BlendingWithHenry Thank you for the tip of heating the broth. I tried the recipe and it was yummy!

    It goes without saying that it's another great video! Being a tweaker, I'm thinking onion marmalade instead of fig.
    ETA I'm thinking I'd also roast the parsnip and bell pepper. See what you started?!

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You know, I really like when my viewers tweak the recipes I upload to their liking. That's the beauty of good cooking, there's really no "wrong way" in terms of creating flavors you love. 😊

      Hi Ron! Not sure what you mean by a "hole in the bucket"? I shop at restaurant supplies, premium housewares stores and special artisan places that carry good olive oil.

    I am kind of wondering why the Tomato Basil Soup is orange, The soup that I buy is always red.

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The color changed due to the parsnips I used to make the soup creamy without using milk or dairy products. The tomato flavor is 100%.

    It is possible to not use the chicken broth?

      I never use chicken broth. That's veggie broth.

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Vania! Will you explain to me why the broth is an issue? There has to be some sort of liquid to create the soup. 😊
