Scottish Waltz was danced at a Ball held by Melbourne Colonial Dancers in November 2017 in Preston Town Hall , Melbourne, Australia

The Dance Instructions are:
Scottish waltz 32 bar waltz
Start Couples dance facing around line of dance with over shoulder promenade hold.
8 Five slow steps forward. Point right foot to the right and then to the left and then close right foot up to the left foot.
8 Starting with the left foot, four slow steps backwards. Take one step forward on the left foot. Point right foot to the right and then to the left. As closing right foot up to left foot, both turn one quarter to the right (retaining hold) to face the wall. Gent now stands directly behind his partner.
4 Two side steps left along the line of dance. Two side steps to the right, finishing facing forward.
4 Two steps forward. Lady then turns out (a turn around) and in to meet partner in ballroom hold.
8 Waltz.
