Yeah, a bit Batmanish. Speaking of KC, I think the Disc Golf community should start a fund to help Climo get medical care for his back. It’s a shame that the Champ is not around. I’m sure he has some game left in him.
My dad and I started throwing Frisbees at random targets in our yard (and the neighbors' yards) back around 1970. Closest one got a point and we usually played to 21. We would even make a trip to local parks to keep it interesting. One of my close friends found Shady Oaks in Orangevale in '83 and we started playing that course with lids. If you could get a shot up that first hill on #1 you felt like a king. (200-ish feet or so with a low ceiling) One day I saw a bunch of guys throwing these weird smaller discs and bought one out of the trunk of a dude's car. Just happened to be Jim Oates. They never let me play with them without coughing up a couple bucks for a bet. Best money I ever spent. I got lucky and learned from some of the best in the world over the next 10 years. Disc golf became a big part of my life and I'm still playing competitively at 60. There is just something about a big, high anny that floats forever. It's just beautiful. NorCal4Life (#6977)
I just liked making super accurate throws... still so satisfying after all these years. This is great old school golf through the trees... Nice job fellas
I honestly don't watch tournaments just the practice rounds cause you crack me up. Disc golf is for fun, been playing 23 years. Appreciate what you do for the sport
No not a lot of acid ,but you asked so I'll answer, I first heard about DG from Surfer Magazine in the mid seventies so my buds and I built an object course in the western suburbs of Phila in 1975. We smoked a lot of pot and threw a lot of Wham-O 141's. A few years later I heard on the radio that there was a tournament at Segley Woods, so I joined the PDGA bought an Eagle and never looked back and today playing with the OG's in Charlotte, every round I play I run through my head my friendships and my round as it puts me to sleep, best game ever.
Nice to see you back Uli! Just a request, any chance you can do like a check in with your Scratch to Scratch golfer guy? Think it would be awesome to see how he's progressed since your challenge.
That was fun to watch. I don't get out there much anymore but I think I'll make a nostalgia run soon. Played Reedy a lot in the early 90s. DX shark/viper/jaguar/aviar/stingray was my standard bag. A couple times we were on acid now that you mention it. 30 years later.... the course is pretty much the exact same. The original 7 is notably gone... And I don't play on hallucinogenics anymore.
3, 8, and 9 are the only holes I have ever aced and I’ve been playing for over 16 years! Reedy creek is always a fun and awesome course to play in Charotte
Reedy Creek I think was put in in 1991, so it's not that old. It's probably had a redesign or 2. When I started playing in 1981 we mostly had the Whamo 90 mold, and I had a super puppy (remember there was no internet yet, so we relied on each other to find out about new discs.). We were just trying to do something different other than throwing in a field, or a beach. Small courses were still a challenge with the discs we had, especially in the wind. It wasn't until the Aero (Eagle) came out in 1983 that we were able to start to get some decent distance. It's funny that you are only playing with 3 discs, We usually only had 2 or 3 discs when I started because those were the only choices.
- this course is a little gem. first rounds i ever played (94-95) - fairways were much tighter. & carrying only a dx stingray, panther, barracuda, and a freekin massive jaguar!
When I was younger we would play “golf” with a frisbee at the beach or camping. Moved to Santa Cruz in 96. A buddy took me to DeLa and it was love at first chains. Lost his Marauder on 13. Literally obsessed ever since.
I can't say what they were thinking buy, in the early eighties I knew nothing of disc golf but we would smoke a joint or 5 and play sports, frisbee included. One day we randomly decided to throw frisbees in the woods, I think because it looked so cool to bend the flight around and through the trees....it was something we did regularly and always had a blast. Just playing catch in the woods.
The first and only time I played Reedy was 3 weeks after I started playing disc golf in the Trilogy Challenge last year. Finished 2nd to last 😂 haven’t been back since.
I think the spirit of the game truly is twice or it's luck. The og's started hucking and squared a tree then it became about trying to hit trees on purpose, so they delved deeper into the woods for bigger and better trees but then had to get more and more specific about what tree that they were aiming for to the point they started to cut down the ones in the way of the tree they wanted to aim for and bang, they were out there down on them fairways.
Surprised you did good.. no offense but Joseph seems to ace every hole in another round IG and he makes me feel like I'm horrible and I know I can putt well 🤣
Get your tail end back on Jomez Putting with Big Jerm. Your just too damn funny. You guys are like...Laurel and Hardy, Martin and Lewis, Peanut butter and Jelly...WHAT ...
I love that everyone's Ken Climo impression is also their Batman impression XD
You beat me to it 🤣
I was thinking chuck norris
Yeah, a bit Batmanish.

Do you have a lipper in?!?
3, 8, and 9 are the only holes I have ever aced and I’ve been playing for over 16 years! Reedy creek is always a fun and awesome course to play in Charotte

Love reedy creek, it’s where I learned what DiscGolf is after walking the trails as a young boy almost getting a face full of plastic
Uli with a lipper in

Bow berry biscuit son 😂. Epic!

Mustacheless ULI is really showing the jawline my guy 👍🏽👍🏽

I fell I love with Paul at our first Worlds together. Same card.
Channing Tatum never got so many mentions in a disc golf video😂🤣😂
Reedy Creek is a really fun course. I like it because you can get a round done in an hour or less.
gotta love Uli throwing in a few Zynard Skynards
Love seeing some dudes being bros 🤣
I hope Big Jerm picks up on Kirkland Channing Tatum and runs with it this season.
Seems like you two have a ton of fun playing a casual round. You should do a video where you take a random customer from the shop and play a round.
Joseph’s spin putt isn’t fair… smooth
Kirkland Channing Tatum I am weak 😂
Okay so where do we buy the hoodie?
ULI with a lipski in? 💯❤

Sounds more like Batman🤣🤣🤣🤣
Did ya see the new basketball game played with discs? 🥶
The first and only time I played Reedy was 3 weeks after I started playing disc golf in the Trilogy Challenge last year. Finished 2nd to last 😂 haven’t been back since.
Hey I’ve seen that guy on tiktok!
Paul got a big ol chaw in lol
I don't get the beach joke. Can someone explain? Been playing that course since 1998.
Paul are you chewing???? Hahaha
We need Uli and Barsby having a conversation both as The Champ
Uli with that fat dip in!😂
Kirkland Brand Channing Tatum vs MC Serch 😂✌️
Thought I missed Uli's videos recently, then watched this and decided I didn't.

Uli with no stash you look younger. Not that I'm calling you old because I am the same age. We are forever young!
how in the hell is joseph spin putting lazers like that.
Uli dips???
Why can I throw my putters 300' pretty consistently, but can't push past 400' with my drivers?(backhand)
I’ll packing a mean hooter 😂
"Chandler Fry"
"Channing Tatem"
*misses easy birdie.
Why does Uli's Climo imitation sound like Batman?
We should record some day:)
Something is different
Lippaa
Going with acid on this one...
Just a couple dudes being bros.
why does Uli keep looking more and more like Mcmurry from Letterkenny
Surprised you did good.. no offense but Joseph seems to ace every hole in another round IG and he makes me feel like I'm horrible and I know I can putt well 🤣
lol i can see the dip pouch in ulis mouth just us country boys spot out stuff like that lmao
Uli will now forever be "Kirkland's brand Channing Tatum".
That’s a stroke, no holding into trees.
Get your tail end back on Jomez Putting with Big Jerm. Your just too damn funny. You guys are like...Laurel and Hardy, Martin and Lewis, Peanut butter and Jelly...WHAT ...
