The Necramech is worth buying if a person has a bunch of plat to spare. The Railjack, though, that can be built in about an hour or so now. They've significantly reduced the cost and time of that.
I was so salty about that XD I solo built most of my dojo along with the drydock and then my railjack with the original costs, glad they made it better for others though. The necramech I just waited till I had a 75 percent off coupon and bought bonewidow lol don't regret it, then I used bonewidow to farm the vaults easier and build the first one
@@GrimViridian Yeah, I can relate to a bit of saltiness over the Railjack. I built mine on Playstation on the original costs, and maybe my Switch one as well. Dang, that April refund hit good, though. 🤣
They did make the Voidrig a tiny bit easier by giving the blueprints for the components for free after finishing thr Heart of Deimos quest. Still have to farm the items and mats, though. It can be rough. Buying Bonewidow to farm Voidrig, that's the way to go. 👍

@@GrimViridian Same, I did too. It was in an update after the fact, I don't remember how long after Deimos originally launched...miiiight've been close to a year, retroactive QoL change. Wasn't a bug on your part. Like, it wasn't originally supposed to be that way and you just didn't get them. They changed that down the road. 👍
The main gate for the necmech is just getting standing together, the parts are a guaranteed drop from each tier of vault bounty, but you need the crafting bp from Loid which takes standing. It can be done over a few hours stretched between a few days to get around the standing limits. It's honestly easier than grinding a lot of stuff with no guaranteed drop. Doing it the normal way will also give you mods for them, which is very important if you plan to actually use them for anything. NW doesn't require you to mod it, though, like at all
That's nostalgic AF for me, I played casually for 3 years (2013-2016). I came back later, but was overwhelmed by the new contents so much that it seemed tiring just to get through.

Same, got back in after 2 years about a month ago and I was so lost for like a week. My builds all suddenly weren't good somehow, but actually I think the game is much better now overall, just hit half way through MR21 so only about a decade or so to go till I hit that mr30 haha

Yeah and a lot of his frames were gifted to him back in the day. I remember watching him stream it for the first time and a ton of people gifted him stuff off the bat
If you plan on getting back on regularly, do the quest to get helminth in your ship man. It gives you a giant mutant plant that you feed your old frames to. Then you can transfer one of their abilities to any other frame. Upgrade segment can be purchased from Nekralisk. That's the 3rd open world area, after Orb Vallis.
Also i havent played in a while but sevagoth was my go-to infusion, just buy it with plat and feed it, its worth it if you can. Energy to lifesteal on any frame

Wild seeing charlie play one of my favorite games. personally I think the best weapons in game right now are the weapons dropped by the grineer kuva liches and corpus sisters, so it's worth it to grind those out for a bit
Those the ones you can build and the angels of zariman weapons are all top tier

@@demen9497 personally I'd say warframe. The grind on warframe is a bit worse, but the ridiculous amount of quality content makes up for it
@@demen9497 as somebody who has played a lot of both it really depends what youre into. Destiny has raids and pvp. Warframe has endurance based gamemodes and wider customization in terms of playable characters and weapons. I think the biggest issue with Warframe is that it is not obvious how to progress or "git gud" so many people quit before they really understand it

Warframe is so good even tough being 9 years old, it has lots of content and game mechanics, while being super fun to play miss the times when ppl were streaming this every day
It’s definitely a good time to get back into especially with The New War it’s a pretty good quest.
Keep in mind the game is likely very different from when you played.

@@nattramn6690 Yeah you can spend a week away and come back to 5 new weapons a new warframe Deluxe skins a prime and a new mission type and not know where to start. I know some people hate that but I love it. I love having something to do that is a tangible goal.

The irritating bit with that is that you have to get both a railjack and a necramech before you can do the quest. I'm still stuck on that
I feel so proud that I am able to share my favorite video game with my favorite TH-camr. I hope that charlie is able to bring back the Warframe community back to the size it once was.
If Charlie could get them to speed up cross progression, I'd come back in a heart beat.
Cross progressions isn't some simple switch they can flip on, and demanding they make it happen faster wont actually make it happen any faster

@@Alex-fw6vz yea, and they're close to getting it working if they're already play testing. Warframe isn't like fortnite or other games with cross progression, it has a lot of data and shit to work out to make sure everything transfers and runs smoothly. Would you rather they push it out and it causes all your save data to be corrupted and you lose all your progress? That's hundreds of hours for me so, I'll wait. I want to try warframe on pc and can't wait for crossplay and progression too but I'd rather it be done airtight than rushed out to appease impatient players

I’ve devoted an actual third of my life time playing the game. I started at the end of 2015 when I was 11. Been playing it regularly ever since. LR1 all primes etc. I am always pleased to see people still playing this game, even my favorite TH-camrs who aren’t playing it just because they’re sponsored.
Man...Warfame. I underestimated its ability to get me addicted and I hate how hooked I got to the grind to the point I suffered depression and failed calculus class. I'm happy I got out of this game despite having made so much progress. My biggest hook for this game is fear of missing out on once in a lifetime cosmetics. I've learnt to overcome that by first uninstalling the game then unfollowed or blocked Warframe topics on all social platform. Thank God I'm out that vicious cycle of addiction and finally got my life back together. I want to be a game dev, not a game junkie.

Fortunately with the replacement of Prime Access with Prime Resurgence we have better access to prime exclusive cosmetics. The only cosmetics you can miss out are the Tennocons and Twitch/Amazon exclusives but most of them are crap or mediocre anyways.

The fact that this game has so much to offer for a free to play game, just goes to show that DE has good business practices. Making platinum tradable amongst other players is such a smart move because it opens up a whole catalogue of items that you can purchase. There's a limit to how many cosmetics or boosters you want.
They just have to make it more new player friendly

Warframe is a lot of fun, but when you walk away for a while you come back and there is so much bullshit that that is just so tedious to get through.

Idk what it is about Warframe, it just makes me want to spend money with the amount of effort the devs put. I think I have nearly all of the deluxe skin which I just buy whenever I have a 50-75% discount.
The only thing I spend real money on is Tennogen, I normally just farm prime parts and sell them as junk for them. Yeah it takes a while but its a good free way to do it if you have the time and it beats trying to get the INSANE drop rates and lucky rolls on some of the rarer mods and Rivens to sell.

Tennogen stuff are cool and it’s dope that the people who create them get paid, but personally, I don’t really use them since they’re just mostly reskins of the original skin. The Tennogen helmets are dope tho.

@@calvinwilson3617 The Aya stuff was pretty stupid. The Prime event thing in general in my opinion. Prime frames should only be in Prime Access, farmable and tradable, that's it.
As someone who's mr 24 and played since 2018. the old builds you still had give me nostalgia. I love this game, and its awesome when others share that oppinion cuz its rly just a great game

SkyNut finds new galaxy, rich in resource, then they notice previous Galaxy is butt ugly because of Pillar Men. They come back stronger and want to kill Pillar Men, Pillar Men order their tsushima samurai but they lose. They make The Flood from Halo, it betrayed them too. They send children off to space clitoris, the children come back with space clitoris powers. Space clitoris kids can control robot men from The Flood and Tsushima Soldier fusion. Space Clitoris kids rebel against Pillar Men as well, but they also end up killing SkyNut invaders. Space Mom Lotus puts Space Clitoris Kids to sleep. A millennia later, communist mad max space russians have come to the surface as well as capitalist dead space isaac clarkes want some fun, lotus is shook she need space clitoris children to wreak havoc again. And now in The New War, SkyNut is back with stronk brother of SpaceMom, its Space Uncle and he's here to put an end to Space Clitoris children. And that's Warframe simplified. Yes, its still so damn long and confusing even in this simplified context.

The lore Hatrik is saying is correct, mostly, but the biggest issue is that the technocyte virus was made well before the sentient project. The sentient conflict was long enough that they could use the technology that precursed warframes in the old war, and then swap nearly entirely to the warframes and tenno. Also, the reason why the sentients rebelled against the orokin is because the orokin designed them so that they could adapt and replicate themselves, but that the void trip back would kill them and the trip there would render them incapable of reproducing. The Orokin created sentient, self aware AI that could love and have families, then abandoned them in an alien system they lost interest in, and stole their ability to have families. This is why Natah has a mother and siblings, but could never bear her own children.

MR 27 here. This game really is special. It's always to play fun (until the grind burns you out for a stretch) and return to.. plus the community is genuinely lovely which is so rare for an online game
I've been playing since the early days. First logged in early 2014, and now I'm MR27, still going strong. Ony time I take a break is when I run out of things to do, which now with the Lich and Sisters, I'm grinding those out to get everything from them and knocking out the new quests as they come.
I remember when i was coming back from my break and saw tennocon was around the corner i was happy, and i was looking at other people were watching and saw him and i was surprised, then i see he was a vet and my jaw fucking dropped
Can't believe this is real. Not only is Charlie the only youtuber I really come back and binge watch for hours at a time. But warframe is my favorite game. Sure it's shit in some areas. And no it's def not perfect, but to me and my childhood. It was the best thing of all time. I've soaked so many hours and money .

I've been thinking about this game recently. I actually stopped playing when DE was bought by Tencent, but it seems so far like nothing negative has come from it.
There are some bad things now but for the most part, the game is still the game.

@@jayleno2192 Yea I asked Charlie about 2 years ago when he was playing Warframe around TennoCon and he said he wasn’t getting paid, find that hard to believe. You just happen to play it around TennoCon lol.

Its a damn grind, its rewarding when u complete what ur trying to do but it can also suck grinding for it

It's unreal how identical our reasons for stopping and stoppage points are.
I stopped at Plains of Eidolon because I became overwhelmed by the amount of content, and didn't start playing again until the introduction of Deimos meaning I just recently completed the Sacrifice and still have not started Prelude to War. We are on the same exact quests, and he started with Deadlock Protocol like I did as soon as he gets back on. We are also both MR 20.
Cross play has made this game crazy to play. There's so many Tenno in game now.

EDIT: its amazing that i do have 140 hours on steam but no matter what i cant login nevermind reset my password i havent downloaded it on my ps4 to see if it works but this really amped my fear

dont be, they are refunding materials from systems they changed, last one was focus/tenno class and if you invested eidolon shards or lets say 1000000focus you have them back, and yea only way to lose progress is losing the acc
There is no dlc, and as long as you have your account info everything is there
if by dlc you mean a new storyline campaign then each dlc is already downloaded in every update

It seems he didnt really learn the game and just farmed all the weapons and frames to max levels as well as cleared the starchart, you can do all of tjat in 300hours and get to his point
Wouldnt recommend it as it is horrible way to play but it isnt impossible to do without any microtransactions
