Looks like fun.. my 98 Grand Cherokee 4.0 jist hit 400,000 tonight.. original drive train.. and yes original trans.. never rebuilt. I like the exhaust on that green Willys truck... my 76 J10 someone did duel exhaust and they come out right where the bed and cab meet... and i wont lie... ive thought about having the exhaust going up like that willys..
My first car was a 98 Grand Cherokee. I had the 5.9 limited package. What a sweet ride that was. Had it for over 10 years, but got in an accident in Downtown Atlanta and totaled it. Still have dreams about it sometimes lol. I dig the side pipes on trucks. Stacks are cool on diesels.
@@Harry_Dawg. i have a 5.9 limited as well. Its my daily switched up with ny wagoneer. Has 220k mikes now. I dont drive it AS much though. As the transnission is whirring in 1st-3rd gear.. thrn goes away in overdrive and lockup. Does it with the engine shut off rolling too.. no idea what it is. It still shifts fine.. but the less miles on it right now. The better lol. I love it though.. had mine for 14 years. Was my first car too. I wanted a Jeep as s kid because of a macgyver on t.v. but soon realized a 300lbs man like me a CJ is too small.. XJ was too small. So i looked at ZJs like my moms. Of course cash for clunkers was going on.. and they were all gone. Or junk ones. I found this Jeel at a dealership for 5500$. With 112k miles. I had no idea what it was.. i just liked the sound.. interior and sparkle silver paint lol. Then as i learned to work on cars and learned abiut Jeeps.. i realized my first car was a 5.9 limited haha
Ive been to an event like this once.. with my Grand Wagoneer.. and people seemed to only care about the wranglers.. even jad one guy tell me ( my waggy wasnt a Real Jeep) so i havent been back to one since.. but i wonder if there are any in Virginia coming up maybe ill go again
Only saw 1 FSJ the whole time I was there. Overland Expo in Arrington VA is a good one. You can camp, so that's a plus for me. It happens every year in Oct.
@@Harry_Dawg. thanks for the info.. maybe i can fix my J10 before then and go there lol.. Im pushing.. today i cut the floor pans out that are bad.. Some of floor supports need fix in a few spots.. but this is all easy. The annoying part is the passenger side.. that BUMP thats the cabin mount in the back... its fine but the floor under it rusted out.. Such a tight area to cut and weld in.. thats the annoying part. My bed will be difficult to fix too.. and i still havent even driven this thing yet.. i know the engine is good.. but what about everything else lol.. I get impatient.. sometimes i just wanna drive the dang thing.. but i cant till its fixed
@@jeepsblackpowderandlights4305 I have only yard driven my J truck. Basically did like you and fixed all the rust and body work before anything else. Thankfully my cab mounts were good, and only the front floor pans and cab corners needed replaced. I think you will have to cut that cab support brace off to get the floor under it. It will all be worth it in the end! Would love to see this thing at Overland Expo this year.
@@Harry_Dawg. i was debating on cutting thr cab mount off.. because the seat belt mount floor is rusted badly underneeth too.. but ima try to get to it from actual underneeth first and see before i do. The floor under the actualy cab mount itself where the floor support is as well im not worried sbout because well.. i dont need (floor) there. you dont see it. You dont need it. Ill probly weld it closed in the cabin itself. Or what i could do is cut the floor support from underneeth off.. thrn weld new floor from underneeth. Then weld the floor support back on. Versus cutting the cab mount.
