Meh, I think it's more like they worked together to both be Sony's mascot.
Spyro demos hidden in Crash games and vice versa, the infamous crossover of Spyro Orange and Crash Purple, Spyro appearing as an easter egg in Crash Twinsanity, Crash being playable in Skylanders (which used to be a Spyro continuation but fell off the rails), etc.

1) Either a repeat with better graphics but nothing really new to it, I know you're talking about Call of Duty.
2) Yeah I've heard Destiny was heavily criticized for its lack of story content with many pointing to the disjointed narrative and shallow plot implementation.
3) They've completely murdered and/or ruined good franchises I can tell. :|

You forgot the part where Naughty Dog casually tossed Crash over to third party wolves like a slab of meat, and they proceeded to do unspeakable things to him and his franchise in the name of a quick buck.
Of all the various deaths Crash had in his games, that one was the saddest of them all. R.I.P Crash :(
That was Universal's doing, Naughty Dog wanted to buy the IP from Universal, but they already gave the rights to Eurocom to make more games. Crash's license for Naughty Dog was for three games (CTR is irrelevant).
-MISSING- Not even close, Naughty Dog NEVER owned the franchise. Naughty Dog signed a contract with Universal that would last for 3 years. The ironic thing about it (and many people still don't know this) is that Naughty Dog technically sold Crash to Universal Interactive Studios before the series' creation. Anything they'd come up with for the series would immediately become Universal's property.

Never said they "owned" the franchise, i said that Naughty Dog wanted to buy Crash from Universal. ND shared the IP with Universal to publish their games, they announced that after Crash 3 they would leave the company because aparently, everyone at Universal was a real dick with the ND team. So when they left, Crash was left behind with Universal.
The same thing happened to Insomniac with Spyro. When Naughty Dog wanted to buy Crash back, Universal told them pretty much to fuck off.
Also, here's what Jason Rubin (Naughty Dog's founder) said about the matter:
"If Universal had been more humane and reasonable, it is possible that Naughty Dog would still be making Crash products today."
"Naughty Dog would have liked continuing with Crash beyond Crash Team Racing, but the relationship with Universal was untenable."

Naughty Dog NEVER owned Crash. They could only develop it under UNIVERSAL. In order to directly work for Sony which what they wanted to do in the first place they HAD to quit Crash because it wasn't their property.
It's not their fault that SONY was too stupid to buy the IP from Universal.
For a series that I have played all throughout my childhood, playing all the ones released by Naughty Dog and beyond, I learned a lot that I didn't know. Awesome job DYKGaming and great narration Caddicarus!

It’s a good thing that Stormy Ascent saw the light of day for N. Sane Trilogy as DLC, despite how super harrowing and difficult it was.
What’s even better was that they repurposed the beta waterfall level into the Crash 3 level, Future Tense. Not as difficult as Stormy Ascent at all.
Crash Bandicoot 2 was my favorite game out of the series. Its a good thing theyre bringing him back to PS4. I think they should reboot the series

I think it was crash of the titans. That i think screwed it up. I just remembered. playing it and all you do is hijack monsters and hit targets but you never interacted with the bosses and such and they took alot away from the series. Thanks guys for tha info tho

+Willo Wisp the same thing that happens to most games that are given to different developers, it was ruined in Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly (the devs mean't well but they didn't spend enough time on the game and pretty much released an unfinished product) improved a fair bit in A Heros Tail, Rebooted in The Legend Of Spyro (i recommend trying that game out, reviews are split but i personally enjoyed the story, even if it did take spyro in a much darker direction) and then murdered again in Skylander. there were also multiple gameboy and mobile platform spyro games which I don't really know much about
Crash was such a fun game.
Naughty Dog is so smart it isn't even funny. Roughly 20 years later they are still making the greatest and most desirable games on the market.

Say what you want about Ubisoft, but at least they treated Rayman like an importamt character and had the dignity to get the original creator to work on a new reboot. And thus, Oranges and Lemons were born.

Crash Bandicoot is a catchy name. I liked it when I was a child and I still do. This game was my very first when I got the PlayStation One. But I finally beat it at age 20. It does have ridiculous hard levels.
I know this video is old, but is there any chance of a did you know video on the newer crash games like Crash of titans, Crash Twinsanity, Tag team racing, nitro cart, etc? Crash Twinsanity, Crash the wrath of cortex( the one that introduced Crunch) are my favorite, though I know people prefer the games by naughty dog.

This is fascinating. Did not know about the Crash Bash one, and I loved that game as a kid- I'd always play its demo on Spyro until I finally found it in an ASDA on holiday in Wales.
I miss Crash. Not the first game I ever played, but it was my first PS1 game, and the first of everything is memorable when you're a kid. Pity that even if he did get a new game, I'd probably not play it since I no longer care much for platformers. :(

My favorite fact about Crash Bandicoot is how it looked so good that every other developer was convinced Naughty Dog got special access to Sony code, while the actual truth is ND had to torture the PS to make that happen. Sony actually tried to make a game that did the things Crash did (called Harry Jalapeno) and they failed miserably.

Crash is dead and won't be revived for a long time, same with Jak and Daxter after Naughty Dog were finished with them (they sorta trashed Jak themselves in Jak X Racing lol).

Keep in mind this was their mind set only for the first game, since they obviously dropped that argument by Crash 2 when that game had proper dialogue instead of one intro sequence in the first game showing the Excuse Plot.

Ahaha, this game has a massive role in my childhood. The first game I ever played was Crash Bandicoot Warped (I believe) and how could I ever forget being such an asshole to my little sister while playing Crash Team Racing. Every single time when she was close to winning, I quickly jumped of the bed and plugged out the console while saying :" I don't want to play anymore. Ever.", then turning it on again after 15 minutes.
Fun times, for me at least.

I just played through the coop Crash Bash with my GF. One of the hardest yet most fun coop game EVER. We'd rage quit many times and the only thing we eventualy couldn't get any of the crystals(we got only regular trophy) was the last minigame with balloons. God damn I've never used so many curse words in my life lol.

Mario had blocks with question marks and crash had boxes with question marks..that's a rip off right there...but it doesn't matter if the game is a rip off as long as it's good and crash series for ps1 was a great platform series for sure...

PSN has your fix, since the entire original trilogy and CTR is on PS1 Classics (dunno if Crash Bash is there as well, but I recommend that, too).
