Arguably the best. lost love song ever written and performed. Saw them perform this live in the early 90s. At the end the audience (including myself) was literally sobbing uncontrollably... monumental...
That'a a oldie but goodie, no one can use that Charismatic energy that Cuddy radiates.💜 All Canada classic tune by the band, 4--ever in our hearts, love these guys.💜❤💋
This has got to be the most underrated band. They are Canadian at its best. Their songs are beautiful and romantic. The singer is what a real Canadian man comes across as.
Yes, Jim was much more appearance conscious on the early days. What a cutie! This was the Jim I fell in love with! Still stops my heart when he sings these torch songs.
I can never figure out why they no longer do this song live. I have many bootlegs of Blue Rodeo and it was never on any of them dating back to the album this was on. And it's never been on any of their official live albums. It's one of their all time best songs. Perhaps the lyrics remind Jim of a sad time that he prefers to forget, but it's such a haunting song. It should be a standard that is in every set list they do, just like 'Try', and '5 days in May'.
You know ive loved them since day one. BUT OMG look how young they look. lol I guess we all were in 1989....i was gleam in me Daddys eye lol well i wish i was Still awesome guys.
but love never quits!! it just sometimes has a way of travelling to the far corners of the back of our mind to escape for a while and only resurfaces again when it feels safe again from how it might have been treated or when it learns a new way of feeling it.. maybe we only need to find out what it came alive for in the first place by trial and error. who knows? love is a strange recipe without having the right ingredients..
they really know how to write music hahaha i remember my sister tearing my cassette tape outta the player and snapping it in half because i played try for the last time only to piss her off and pull out a new one outta my back pocket that was my first album i bought with my own money back when i was 15 i actually bought 2 of them
Painfully beautiful after all these years. Still hits me each time..Miss our life, and family LW
I like when Greg smiled after Bob Wiseman repeated Gregs guitar chords on the keyboard. Such a nice little touch that makes a song/performance great.
I came up with Blue Rodeo...I long for those days again.
I just purchased my ticket for the Montreal at place Des Arts I'm so excited I've been waiting for a while now 🎉❤

STILL love this! A great performance!
Hooked😀
Greg's guitar solo is even better than the album version. That big, dramatic 7th chord at the end made me gasp the first time I heard it.
Couldn't agree more..Love the Gretsch
Amazing voice!!
I like Jim's look at the end of the song . Like "we nailed it, didn't we?" :)
