Although you are younger than I am, you have so many different ways of reminding me of my mom, whom I loved dearly. Your sense of humor, your artistic designs, your view of the world around us... I thoroughly enjoy your videos. And I love these little dishes, which I clearly am going to have to make!
I distinctly remember her wearing a pair of pants that had 15 or more different color stripes, horizontal ones, in the 60's. We had a good laugh over that. No logic to her mind, it was all about getting away with whatever she could artistically; she was fun. She once carved a wooden toadstool... picture a frog on four carved spindles... yeah, she was that person~
Just ordered the molds, I can't wait to get them to give this a go! Thanks for the tute, Val! And congrats for 1 year anniversary! You are one of my favorites! 💕💕
Happy first anniversary! I really enjoy the laid back style of your videos - far less scary for a complete beginner like me. I love this little pot, and I REALLY love that although it looks so complex, you manage to break it down into easy to understand segments that even a dunder head (Scottish term) like me can follow! Oh and just one last thing, it is so very difficult to find UK based tutorials who obviously use products accessible here. I don't think the USA etc realise how good they have it with their choice of both stores and products. Love watching you, keep going, I need you!!! 😄🤗😘❤️
I just love your videos. You explain so well and take your time to show all the things one must know to make what you have made. Thank you for all your interest,in polymer clay and your welling to share what you know.
Happy Anniversary you are awesome and I love your videos. Thank you for sharing your time and talents. You have no idea how much you are appreciated. I have all my friends watching your videos now.
Congrats Valerie! Have fun at the TH-cam meetup! I wish they would have one in our area. The last one they did in Canada was in Toronto which on the other side of our very large country. I know they will be delighted with your 'unruly' personality! :)
Thanks so much, Valerie. Your tutorials are a pleasure to watch and I have learned much from you. Here's wishing you many more years of fabulous fun creating lovely pieces made from polymer clay and whatever else you choose to play with; can't wait to see what you come up with next. Always a joy...
Love this video!! I'm going to try this using a bigger size bath bomb. Your instructions are quite clear and easy to follow. Keep up the fantastic work!!💜💜
Brilliant! Happy 1st Anniversary! I only found your channel recently but I have watched all your videos and I do enjoy them, you are very funny and give me some laughs! Thanks for sharing! From a fellow UK'er in Leicestershire!
Congratulations on your first year. Wow cannot believe it has been that long. Still loving your videos . Love the dish I have bath bomb moulds so will be trying this. Thanks for the laughs x
I know this is an old video but I just came across it and ordered me some bath bomb makers!!! I cant wait to make little dishes!! Love your videos! Cheers!!
Hi Valerie, Greetings from across the pond and I'm sending much love your way. I've been with you since early on and you've taught us so much. I love your tutorials and the way you've shared your life with us, like getting married, going on holiday and eating Polish food. I love your sense of humor and great laugh. Thanks for taking us along on your wonderful journey. Love, hugs and kisses. Your faithful follower. Kathy B. (fairylady0227)
It's an ambitious first project, as the clay can be fiddly to release from the bowl after baking. So jump in but don't worry if you fail/find it hard... It's not you, it's the project. On the other hand, if you pull it off it will be a huge WIN 😁
Congratulation on your first year and very many more ! Oh I so adore that little dish .Both the 100 year old ;) version and just fresh from the oven . I need to search for those moulds . Thank You again for tutorial ! Loves
Adorable! I had to read description: never heard of "bath bomb" and I could not figure what you were saying! Now I know. Really cute, I can't wait to try and it would make such a sweet gift. By the way, in the States there's a thing called The Furminator. It's a brilliant brush for cats that gets at massive amounts of fur. My cats love it--go figure--and it helps keep the stray fur down. Thanks for the lovely video.
Congratulations! I don't own any bath bomb molds so I am going to use the mystery bowls in the kitchen cupboard! (I knew someday they'd come in handy) Thanks for the inspiration!💕 and Happy Anniversary.
Great project! Now I'm searching my house for a bowl to use to make something similar (but a little bigger) for the hubby for Father's Day. Because, you know, I NEED another project to do. haha
happy anniversary! love the cute bowl. the colour scheme is a bit sophisticated for me - I'm into gaudy! I have some egg poaching cups, I might try with them, using a bright colour scheme. I have recently seen a video for flower canes..... they might be a good decoration
Just for anybody who is also looking for “bath bomb Moulds”, they are on amazon.com! Thanx for all your hard work and charming teaching style! From your fan here in New York Stare, USA! 👍😉😍
Congratulations Valerie. Thanks for the tutorials and all the giggles especially egg blowing!!! Can you tell me why you use Fimo professional as opposed to Fimo soft or Sculpey Premo? Hope your Mum is coping after her loss. Our pets creep into our hearts so easily. Take care xx
I normally use Fimo and I wanted this to be black - so I used my giant pack of Fimo Pro Black (that was the only reason lol)... I'm sure the others would be fine. Mum is coping but still in shock I think. xx
Thanks.I am finding that the more I do the easier it is getting to figure out how to keep it from sticking. I would like to send a picture of some I did but I’m not sure how to do it on here.
thanks for all of your videos - love them! i used a metal bowl for melted butter :) its 2 3/4 in diameter, had a heck of a time getting the clay off it - do you coat the metal with anything prior to putting clay on it? thanks
congratulations!!!! I have only had my channel a bout 2 months. LOL your doing very well i love your videos because of your adorable personality. now where does one buy these bath bomb molds
hello, how do you make your fimo so soft, i bought al kinds of color of Fimo and even when it says "soft" it is still hard to work with. i think it was for a long time in the store, can you make it again soft please. i did buy 20 colors and it would be sad if i could not use it anymore. greetings Rosita from Belgium
I love these dishes!!! I was only a few minutes into the video when I said to myself that I have to go order some bath bomb molds right now. Who knew it would be so complicated?!?! So, I have some questions for you. I believe you got a set of different sizes if I remember correctly. Is there a size you like best and find yourself using most often? How often do you use the molds in your projects? I ask that question because I'm wondering if you've found lots of uses for them and use them frequently, then maybe it might be worth it to invest in the stainless steel molds instead of the aluminum. Any thoughts on that? Does it make a big difference in the stability of the bowl to cut a circle out of middle of the foot to leave just a ring? And huge congrats on your anniversary!!🎉🎈🍾 Thank you for sharing your work and creativity with us. I can't wait to see all the fun and exciting projects you will have for us this coming year!
Thank you! I have literally made TWO of the bowls (plus a bit of practising), so I'm not that full of advice lol. The one I've used is just under 2" in diameter but I think other sizes would be useful too - maybe roofs for fairy houses, bigger bowls and other stuff I can't quite put my finger on... Aluminium seems just fine and very strong. You do need to cut the inner circle out, I think. xx
Thanks.I love this tutorial. I am having problems with the clear getting up under the rim of the bowl making it difficult to pull the ball off the mold without breaking it.
That's the hard part, isn't it? It's a while since I have done it but I think I just kept running my nail under the edge of the clay (all around it) and then sliding in a strip of thin card and running that round. You need to get some air between the clay and the bowl, then it just lifts off. Work gently and patiently... I wish I had a way to make it easier!
I am so happy that you started your channel. You have a wonderful way of cheering me up. The dish is really very clever. I was wondering if you could use the outer side of the bomb dish for the bottom and the inner side for the top? You seemed a little subdued today-- are you okay?
I'm not sure if that would work, the top might come out a little small...it would be convenient thought! And well spotted, yes I was a bit subdued... I started the week by taking my confused 82 year old mother to have her beloved little dog put to sleep. It doesn't get much more depressing than that. :( I'm bouncing back though. xx
I have some small glass bowls. Do you think this same technique would work on them? Will they release from the mold or do you think they'd stick too much?
Sandra Stewart I haven't used anything. I just run my fingernail under the edge all the way around. If that isn't enough, I take a strip of stiff card, feed it as far down as I can and drag it around sideways until the bond loosens. It isn't easy but it does come off.
It can be tricky... I wanted the clay to stick, so that I could shape it firmly to the mould. However, mica powder, or something like cornflour might help - unless the clay ends up sliding around. Hmmm. To get mine off, I first ran my thumbnail around the edge, parting the clay from the mould. Then I inserted some stiff card ( strip) and wiggled it down further, sliding it. Eventually the clay popped off. I managed to do it every time but it did take some faffing.
Three times I tried to make these bowls but it won’t release from the mound. I even used the craft pouch that you pat on to release clay and it still stuck. I was however, using Premo. Do you have any suggestions?
How frustrating! I just run my nail around the edge and then if I get a little gap going I shove a strip of some thin (cereal packet type) card down and wiggle that around until the air gets in. I can't remember but I might have been using Fimo for these? I mean, I did have to go slowly and try hard but I didn't split any. Sorry I don't have more advice.
I paused the video at 44 seconds to go buy some of these molds off Amazon. Love these. Thanks for the tutorial! 😊❤
I love the bowl design with, or without, the Swellegant finish
Adorable little pot. I love the antiquity look about it. Great tutorial!

I thoroughly enjoy your videos. And I love these little dishes, which I clearly am going to have to make!
Aw thanks Martha - I hope you mum was a tiny bit more sensible than me LOL. xx
I am glad to be here. Have loved what I have watched so far and it has helped me greatly. Thank you

Thank you so much for sharing this very informative video with us. I have never made anything yet but just bought some clay and bits to have a go.

Great idea! They'd work a treat, I think! xx

What size mould did you use?
Approx 2" wide. :)
I use super big bath bomb rounds to do a similar thing. I make christmas ornaments with them though.
Just for anybody who is also looking for “bath bomb Moulds”, they are on amazon.com! Thanx for all your hard work and charming teaching style! From your fan here in New York Stare, USA! 👍😉😍

Thank you so much! I loved this tutorial. Can’t wait to try it. Question? Would you varnish either of them, if do, what would you use? Thank you!
I would, to help protect the mica powder. I use Americana DuraClear Gloss varnish. xx

Good grief! Am I a year older already? Lol Wicked cool on your anniversary!! So happy for you!! Who needs millions of viewers when you have me? Lol
Just having come across your channel /DIY - I LOVE it!! I am curious tho, what is the name (type) of copper colored powder you used here? 👀
Happy Anniversary!
Soooo cute!! Thank you!!
LOVE!!
Love all your video"s!
Thanks Cindy! xx
Did you use a mould release on the bowls ?
Hello thank you for your video and the bowls are beautiful i just have a problem with my clay sticking to the mold. Do you put anything on the molds?

Happy Anniversary!!!
HAPPY 1ST ANNIVERSARY 🎉🎈🎊🏆🥂🍾☺️👍
Congratulations!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Do you use a regular oven or like a table top type oven which is smaller to bake your clay
I use my regular oven.
Fantastic! Happy Anniversary. Loved this tut. Thank you.
Hi Val, I tried this but the clay stuck fast after baking I ended up breaking it off lol, should I have sprayed it first?

I am going to make some for gifts.
Happy anniversary 😎
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
You could make pretty little tea cup’s ☕️
