Lady is such a nice dog love her eyes and how she holds her head to be petted. What is the purpose of having Seven alone? She would eat more with other cattle near by.

We don't want to put with older calves yet. There's no where else to put him
I'd move the cabin somewhere on the property where it can be used as a little off-grid weekend getaway rental....People pay good money for the backwoods experience. Trail rides...Farm life... If not...Westley might have some ideas for it....Or it might make a great tack house..Having a place to keep all the tack and all the things you need for shows and such in one place would be a good thing......Keep farmin !!!!!
Have you ever thought about using the solid rubber curry combs instead of the metal ones? There are many advantages to them, they don't break the hair and you can't scratch their hides. I used them on all of my horses including the show horses
We have those, I just prefer the metal ones
I would attach the building to your little cabin and have a new bigger kitchen/ dining room.

Heading to a favorite beautiful spot in Michigan. It's one of the top places to go here in a state that has many gorgeous spots! Wish I had known - would've loved to have heard you talk. So sorry, but those brownish cookies looked interesting - sausage patties or furry hockey pucks! LOL. Use that tiny house for Wesley. A young man needs his own space - & he's definitely growing up. Maybe barter for it w a beef or a vacation week in your camper by the river? And those kids should be doing their own laundry by now. They're old enough. Love Lady and her laughing sweet face.

@ThisFarmWife_ It's the cherry capital of the state, a lot of excellent wineries are located there, beautiful shorelines and it's bay adjoins Torch Lake : one of the most beautiful lakes in the country w it's famous Carribean blue icy water. Come back w the family! Well worth it!

You could have it made for a mini barn for horses or use for a little shack to get away from things and sit and have quite time to pray and read a Bible love u guys ❤

I just love this family. Austin is becoming a great young lady and Wesley a good young man. We need more kids like these two in this world. So glade my grandkids are good kids I say kids but they are adults now and I have my youngest grandson coming to help me cut trees he is 20 and strong as a mule.
Howdy, your kids are getting so big. A handsome family. That building is awesome. I would put it in the woods to camp. There is probably a loft above the porch to sleep.

It could be a good idea to buy in a proper calf ration for severn, or mix a little powdered milk in the ration to tempt him. All the trouble you get with the ground up cereals getting stuck and going off in the hopper, i wonder if it may be better to roll the grains. Also easier for the animal to pick up and less likely to cause dietary upsets. We sometimes get what we call a course ration and the grains in it are rolled.

He's getting old enough to have his own space but close enough to home you can be there for him.
We have a tiny house on our property just like that for our son.

It’s Traverse City Michigan. With the weather coming off the Lake I went there one year in winter. There was just a covering of snow when I went to bed and when I woke up there was about 4” more. Traverse City grows a lot of cherries each year.
I thought you mentioned there was a favorite spot you liked and if it’s nearby you could have it as an emergency remote shelter in case you needed to get out of the weather. You could even even have a tarp rigged to set up for the horses if they weren’t freaked out standing under it.
For all the artificial stuff in non sweetened food it might be healthier with regular sugar since I read a lot of labels. Safe travels!

Hey that's great! I live about thirty miles south of Traverse City Michigan. I live in Cadillac MI myself but we go to Traverse City to the mall and just as a get away. It's a beautiful city if you ever want a nice vacation this is a city to visit in the summer or the fall the leaves are beautiful. But the summers are the time to come it's not to hot and it is not that far from the bridge and Mackinac City. Hope you had a good trip.

I have two homes. One on a farm in Kentucky and one in suburb of Phx Arizona. While in Kentucky I say oil like you since I was raised in KY. When I'm in AZ I say oil like your friends in Nebraska...😂

Ohhhhhh my goodness Merdi ! You're coming to Michigan ! Good Lord lima bean I wish I could get to Traverse City just to see you ! I'm about 4 and half hours away from our home! But only about an hour and a half at the most from our cottage up north..."up north" is a michigan saying ...north is where alot of us Michiganders venture to get away from the madness of city life. There's nothing I would like better than to give you a great big hug ! You are so precious to me ! Your little girl as she was when we first joined your channel ...is growing up in so many lovely ways and your young man is maturing daily into quite an admirable man. A farmer like his daddy ! The FARMER is always an icon and a legend for us ! Love your tiny house ! Can't wait to see it finished and what you do with it ! It was sweet seeing Lady....she is the sweetest girl ...I love how she smiles. Well....there's things here to see down my way in Michigan ! Michigan is a lovely state with lots to offer for vacationing...now there's a thought girly ! Farming doesn't offer much opportunity I would suppose for family vacations ...well we love y'all ! Can't wait to hear all about your trip to my neck of the woods.
I have been making banana nut bread with black walnuts from trees growing here on the homestead.
And yes, they are a pain to crack and clean. I use the vise in my shop.
LB's dad, (Papa), used to do the same thing. He'd collect them from down on the creek bottom and then bring back in truck and put in driveway, run over with truck to get initial crack and then spend hours cracking them by hand. Good memories

Hello there. It's like Spring here in Lancashire England just until the weekend and then back to the wet and cold. It's a good job we are used to it. North West England must be one of the wettest places on earth.
I make cookies with cake mix often. My husband likes snickerdoodles. White or yellow cake rolled in sugar and cinnamon.

It's too bad you aren't going to Traverse City in the summer, it's gorgeous up there. You will be in an area where there are lots of beautiful lakes and several have crystal clear water and sandy beaches. Enjoy your trip.
