The amount of masala in all movies that he mentioned including shershaha is sky high. In uri, it is minimal. All these veterans like the movies which are close to there heart. It is easier for him to relate with shershah than Uri for obvious reasons (rightfully so). Uri is still the best movie in terms all cinematic aspects, from screenplay to technicalities of the Defence domain.

The army aspect of Shershah was much more accurate than Uri. Uri begins with a strike on the Northeastern terrorists while not a single man in the surgical strike had ever been posted in NE as a SF commando (except Bipin Rawat who didn't take part in either fights)

He is not talking about real incidents he is talking about how reality is the film. Uri is well made film but in the climax there were many scenes that made no sense. like a helicopter firing at our soldiers who are running in an open field yet not one bullet got stuck and it was a machine gun firing. The director should have done somethings different like soldiers were running between trees or have other covers that helps them shield the helicopter firing

Although both are Army based movies Uri covered an event & depicted our Army potential in protecting national borders as well as fighting back terrorism On the other hand Shershah showed story of Captain Batra and tried to cover the emotional side of our Army how they put their lives on the line. So we shouldn't compare these two masterpieces

Uri was a masterpiece. Im sure there was masala but that’s what made it amazing. They made an army officer look so badass that I can imagine a young child watching it and thinking about joining the army, if not actually do so eventually. Same was the case with top gun during the 80s. The US military actually saw an uptick in applications and recruitments after the movie came out.
Uri involved many aspects , it was a surgical strike, the information provided to the producers will always be improper and can't show any depiction of reality. If the army officials would have wanted to show any reality in Uri movie , they would just compromise Indian intelligence behind the Uri attack. But, respect for army official whether they like it or not.

I personally don’t have army background(I provide services to the army) but in a family of 5, 3 of us are in the army as high rank officers. Negative common things in URi and Loc are mostly action scenes, story pe kam dhyan diya and actions, shooting ye sab jada, no doubt kaushal was awesome in that movie but story should have little more like variety, like border, border mein kafi interesting things pe dhyan diya seedha shooting and bombing nahi dikhayi, well that's my point of view only :)

Uri was a masterpiece. Im sure there was masala but that’s what made it amazing. They made an army officer look so badass that I can imagine a young child watching it and thinking about joining the army, if not actually do so eventually. Same was the case with top gun during the 80s. The US military actually saw an uptick in applications and recruitments after the movie came out.

Uri involved many aspects , it was a surgical strike, the information provided to the producers will always be improper and can't show any depiction of reality. If the army officials would have wanted to show any reality in Uri movie , they would just compromise Indian intelligence behind the Uri attack. But, respect for army official whether they like it or not.

Its so true. I feel the same when wr make medically inaccurate movies. There is no problem with masala if its a fiction but if anything that resembles important real world jobs/roles it needs to be accurate especially army and medicine.

The uri rode on emotions but it had no logic when it came to the execution of the plan
I remember in one scene Vicky Kaushal uniform had a Southern Command badge but the surgical strikes were done by 4 and 9 Para SF, both of which belonged to Northern Command. Makers couldn't even differentiate between two commands.
Uri is the best movie because it shows actual realistic events like hollywood movies and costumes and other fight scens also, except some reel events

I personally don’t have army background(I provide services to the army) but in a family of 5, 3 of us are in the army as high rank officers. I pride myself with what we as a family has been able to offer our nation but, most of the people I come across seem to have very poor understanding of what goes on in the Army and then believe whatever shit is being thrown out in form of movies. If this motivates them to be part of the defence services, amazing but I highly doubt that too.

Negative common things in URi and Loc are mostly action scenes, story pe kam dhyan diya and actions, shooting ye sab jada, no doubt kaushal was awesome in that movie but story should have little more like variety, like border, border mein kafi interesting things pe dhyan diya seedha shooting and bombing nahi dikhayi, well that's my point of view only :)
I was in 11th when I saw URI . I decided to join Military Intelligence after watching this movie... It's close to my heart ,may be not because of Vicky sir or other artists of movie but because of Doval sir , and the real Vihan Shergill sir!! My Josh is since then Highhh!!🇮🇳

Uri mae cringe revenge depection aspects tha. Kyuki uri ke baad jo hua, nobody knows point to point about that. But what happened in kargil, everything is publicly available. Cap. Batras friend and family were part of describing the whole series of events. So that way shershah mae jo dikhaya wo match horha tha jo publicly available hai, but uri mae jo hua wo reality se match nhi horha tha leave what could have happened.
Wo drone ye sab ke cheze, pilot ko khud select karna, many dialogue which came due to political influence of real life. So this way ji defence mae hai unko pata chal jata hai ye cheze toh aise hoti hi nhi, par civilians ko wo cool lagta hai. But defence walo ko same chez cringe. Coz u don't know what's possible but they do right 😅 they know the limitations. Shershah followed those limits and didn't become clear fiction. But uri was about fiction, nd little inspired on real events coz reality obviously movie makers se share toh hui nhi. Aisa toh hoga nhi ki sarkar pure desh ko na bata ke details, movies ko bata degi. That was the issue and it's understandable if army ppl dont enjoy it

Bahut Saare scenes thode drama wala revenge type tha. Plus uri ke baad kya kya hua asli mae wo kiseko detail mae nhi pata. Jabki shershah ke time, kargil mae ek ek point sabko reality mae bhi pata hai kya hua. And movie mae kum dikhaya. Jabki uri mae masala and drone and chopper and thoda overreach karke awkward bana deya tha.
