Rory your the man - my washing machine packed up and due to your vid I replaced the carbon brushes and now the washing machine runs like new. Good man this saved me a small fortune on repairs or replacement cheers mac.
Thank you so much for uploading this video! Now my washing machine is working again after I changed the brushes. It's so easy - if you just know how to do it. Without your video and your explanations I guess I would have been lost and drowning in dirty laundry. You saved me a lot of time and money and lots of natural resources. Great job!
Guys, many thanks I also have the Classixx 1200 Express and just put it on its side to take the motor out as the back doesn't come off, actually ended up using a bicycle spanner as a torque wrench won't fit in the gap. My brushes were down to about 4mm after 8 years heavy use. Got the brushes from your website for about a tenner and washer is now running like new. saved me a small fortune and only took 30 mins of my time. Brilliant! I owe you all a pint.
showed this video to our repair man 6 years ago, and he did the repairs, watched it again today and replaced and installed our new brushes myself, our 18 year old Bosch rides again! (also replaced the drain motor, excellent video from the same gent on that too! thanks
Excellent video, Rory. Just finished replacing my carbon brushes in my Bosch WFL2060. By following this video, I was able to get it done and the washer is working again! Thank you so much for sharing how to do this. I got the bushes for less than $40 and saved a costly service call.
A valid point - the edges in many appliances can indeed be very sharp, so be very careful when removing anything. Levering the motor out with a screwdriver is a great tip, although of course once the motor is loose it will still need to be lifted out of the machine, which is where extra care must be taken. Thanks!
Well done the explaining, even with the visual showing. Very precise. All other wannabe explanation videos can be thrown away cause they don't make it clear where the different parts are and how to replace them

Just repaired our Siemens Siwamat XS 440 washing machine and your video helped a lot. At first I had trouble finding a way to access the motor but finally figured out that only way to access the motor in XS 440 is through the bottom, not from the back. Now our 10 yrs old washing machine is spinning again like a brand new :) Spare carbon brushes cost 18 € and it took an hour and half with all the hassle and figuring out how to access the motor. Saved a big buck, thank you very much!
You guys are the best!. Carbon brushes went in in about 15 minutes and all's well. The only suggestion I have is that on my Bosch, to remove the clip from the old carbon brush fastener, there is a small lever that must be pushed up from underneath the clip. So, don't try to pull it off (so to speak) with brute force. Other than that, I just saved £350!
Our Bosch washing machine was having symptoms like a wire was loose. The drum wouldn't turn but when we opened it up, pushed and prodded, it would work again for a while. The other symptom was there was graphite everywhere, inside and out. After researching how motors work, we suspected it was the brushes. They were only about 1 cm long when we took them out. So far, so good after replacing the brushes. Many thanks for the videol we couldn't have done it ourselves without it!
This is the second time I've used your videos to repair appliances. Thanks so much, such a great service. Need to do a thermostat on my oven, and guess what? They have a video for that also great stuff.
I've watched about 30 washing machine related videos in the past 12 hours. Yours is really helpful, as you zoom into the fiddly bits. Thank you so much! My fault is yet not found - but there are so many areas my machine could have its fault. Carbon brushes is just one. :)
Thank you! Unfortunatly, I wan't able to remove the motor to get to the brushes and got a worker in. He ripped me off, stating the motor is broken without even testing it. When I opened the brushes they were completly worn down on one side, and barely there on the other. When I asked how he can be sure, this allone isn't the problem, he said, he never replaces the brushes "because it ruins the collector (?)". Well, I knew I was had, when he stated this. He wanted to take the "broken" motor with him. I said no. Definitly not. Now I'm checking out, if the "broken" old motor is really broken. But it'll take time to get someone to look at it and try it with new brushes. Aaaaanyway: without your video I would have believed him anyway and now I know he is untrustworthy at least and never ever to use him again (and warn people, once I have proof).
Thank you. Your video was invaluable while replacing the carbon brushes on my old (20 years) Bosch Axxis+ I had to order the brushes twice to get the exact kind but in the end it worked and the washer is working again as it should.
Hi, it's so good to hear that by watching our video you have been able to repair your 20 year old washing machine yourself! Hopefully it keeps running for a long time yet.
2024: Machine 24 years old and stopped spinning. Replaced brushes - a bit awkward as the whole back panel doesn't come off. There is only a smaller panel to reveal the belt with no access to the motor mounts. When you said some motors don't need to come out to change the brushes I guessed my Bosch 2260WFL/04 was one of these and was designed to enable replacement of the brushes while the motor was insitu. I think it’s more awkward than removing as space is tight. However, finally, all is back to normal working. Wife very pleased so thanks for the video. It was also a chance to inspect the belt as these machines are usually tucked away between kitchen cabinets and under a worktop so dragging them out requires some motivation to inspect parts. Brushes cost £12 with next day postage. New machine: £500!
Hi, thanks so much for your comment here. It's great to hear that our video has helped you to keep your trusty washing machine running, and that we have helped you save such a lot of money too! Well done for completing the fix yourself, even if your model sounds like a few extra things had to be considered while doing it...pleased eSpares could help you with the replacement!
Candy CNWD136 CNWD-136 had stopped spinning and there were sparks coming from the motor. Followed your guide, removed cleaned and reseated the brushes and it worked fine after that. Only difference is that I could get at the brushes from underneath by tilting the washer back. Thanks for your great guide...
Hi, Thank you so much for the video. It was doom and gloom that the washing machine was not spinning like it should and now I am so stoked to be changing the brushes myself. We live in the country and a serviceman would cost lots in travel to get to our place so thanks very much. Cheers, Andy
Great video and really straightforward explanation for dummies like myself. As a result my washing machine is working again, so thank you very much. Only one suggestion, working out the angle of the brushes is quite a thing if you've forgotten the configuration and never wrote it down. I had to take it back out and reconfigure it, not sure if helpful for anyone else, but this is how I configured them \O\ the second time and it works a treat. All of this to say thank you very much for such a great video and help.
Also, I wanted to say that I'd have bought the brushes from your website as you suggest, were it not for the fact that I live in the Netherlands and a local shop actually stocks the part, so it was way easier.
Thanks so much just ordered the part form you guys and will put them in when they arrive that’s just saved me at least £150 calling someone one out for a half hour job cheers 👌
Really good vid. Had the brushes changed out in no time. The front of the Bosch machine is identical to mine but at the back the access hatch is much smaller (for belt change) on mine. I was able to do mine by removing the belt and then tipping the machine on its side so I could access the motor from the bottom of the machine. I was able to change the brushes without removing the motor. Your vid gave me the confidence to attempt the job and it worked out fine. Thanks.
Espares, Your video is excellant. But note on my Bosch ClassiXX 1200 Express the full back panel can not be removed. I removed the part back panel to removed the belt. Then I had to tip the machine upside down in order to remove the wiring Loom & earth. Then I removed the motor with a stuggle because the motor screws catch on the remaining back panel. But in the end the motor was removed in order to be able to replace the carbon brushes. Regards Chris
Thank you for all your great videos. Just a couple of points. I have a Bosch Classixx 1200 and it is impossible to take the back off (the back and sides are all one sheet). However you can access from underneath, albeit very fiddly. One extra tip that i got: If like me you find that you now will have no washing machine for up to a week waiting on delivery of new carbon brushes, you can reuse the old ones. When you pull them out you see that one is shiny and one is dull. If you cut the wire that is inside the spring of the dull one, then reinsert the brushes. this will have the effect of pushing them in a little more against the motor. It worked for me and should work until the new brushes arrive.
Thanks for the comments Fergus, just a word of caution. The wire in the brushes has two functions, It ensures a better electrical connection direct to the brush as the current through the spring can produce heat as it contacts the brush that could damage the brush mountings. Secondly if the tips do wear any more they can be pulled through the gap on the housing between the commutator. If this happens the spring can be dragged through and short on more than one segment and damage the control board so get those brushes replaced quickly. We could normally have delivered new brushes in 24 hours if you request this on our web site and are in the British isles.
Many thanks for the video. Without it I couldn't have replaced the brushes. I used another video to clean the commutator and put it back together. I thought it was all wasted because the error code wouldn't reset! However after at least 10 try's I finally cleared the error code and it works fine! Many thanks for the advice.
I used this video to fix a Bosch Classixx 1400. The fix works fine and very happy with the spares. Just for the 1400 model, It took me a while to work out how to get the motor out. The entry point is at the bottom of the machine, so I had to lay it on its side and take off the bottom panel. Bit more tricky to get the bolts for the motor as the space is small to give it a good pull, but it came out OK with a bit of a light tap with a hammer. All went back in easily and the bolt tightening re-positioned everything OK.
Very helpful indeed. If the back does not come off your machine, (ie its not a removable item, by design) get the belt off through the inspection panel at the back and then remove the motor by laying the machine on its side and working from underneath. Its do-able. Used a hammer to lightly tap the motor out once the 2 bolts removed. The machine is now running sweetly, and Espares next day delivery did the trick.
I've just followed the video instructions which were clear and easy to follow. To start with all seemed fine but the motor has started making a "whirring sound" when turning. I've taken out the motor and re-checked the brushes were fitted the right way (I think!) after checking the angle of each. Are the brushes just bedding in or is there another way to ensure they run more quietly?
Great video. Took the motor out of mine and found it had 2 new brushes! One had fallen out so all I had to do was push it back in, and make sure it was held in properly.
If the brush to had fallen out it suggests it has worn away to nearly nothing. Check the brushes are at least 10 mm or half inch long approx and replace if shorter as it will fail again.
Great video, thanks very much. I bought a machine second hand with new brushes fitted but one is worn at a funny angle (flatter than the preset angle). I wonder if this is due to it not being rammed home. Also wondering if the brushes are the correct size!
Thanks to uou, I just confidently removed my Zanussi washer motor and replaced the carbon brushes myself. Now need a Beko tumble dryer diagnostic video. That died :(
Thanks for that, exactly the symptoms, exactly that easy to take apart, although I DID NOT observe which way the slant was coming out, but I think I can copy it from the video! Now to see if I can find a shop tomorrow to get the part before christmas and so I have clean clothes this week. But thanks you have probably saved me a couple of hundred euro.
HI Robert. If you order from us you can still get next day delivery well in time for Christmas and even standard delivery can some times arrive the following day.
Good video. I have a similar Bosch machine. It does start by saying remove top and sides of the machine, without any reason why. Not necessary for my model, took bottom panel off and back panel. Is a good idea to spin the motor before putting back as you get a double check that brushes are in the right way around (something which cost me another 45 mins of my life lol). From finding a bra wire had gone through the drum, a huge piece of scale on the heating element and the joys of putting these things in, I have almost had a day in the life of an appliance engineer, and saved myself £££. Cheers
Hi Dan, as we say often in our replies 'There are many ways to carry out a repair'. Some people may be concerned with lowering the machine or even may not have the strength to do so safely. Often if you search our channel we may have (and do in this case) other videos on brush removal that may show different methods for different makes that may 'appeal' more than the first video you find so it may be worth looking at other methods before starting. :-)
Thanks for your reply - the video was the right one and yes I acknowledge there are many different models even within the same brand. I was trying to say to other readers you may not need to take the top off. Following the video I took the top off to find it was going to be from underneath and through the back 'window'. Make no mistake I think you guys are great!
Dan Williams Thanks for the comments Dan. We often reply in this manner to help anyone reading to see the different options and not just think this is the only way. :-)
Thanks fella great help but was tough, torq screws are a nightmare after trying everything else in the tool box had to go and get torq head wasn't cheap in a set. Also watch when you yank the motor out its heavy and drops down I sliced both hands on the bottom razor sharp lip as I trapped them underneath the motor. But job done thanks again.
Thanks for your comments and sorry to hear of your accident. We have added another safety warning for customers on the video to try and help others in the future.
I love that I can fix my washing machine thanks to this!! Problem: I've disconnected the wire socket and earthing wire, but the wires are bundled together with a plastic clip which is then attached to the motor by way of another plastic clip/plug type thing, and I can't work out how to unclip/unplug it. Any suggestions? Surely others have this same issue, mine is a Bosch Logixx 8 purchased in 2011 in Australia.
Hi Rachael, the wires are likely to be fixed with a nylon cable tie. It is possible to release these but you have to use a pin or small screwdriver to push into the clip from the underside of the clasp to hold and release the catch. It may be simpler to just cut the original tie and replace it as these as similar ties are easily available at DIY or car stores or if you have not ordered the brushes yet you can get them here: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1746497/cable-ties
Awesome, thank you. Job done! I've fixed the problem now using your video, I'm pretty impressed with myself lol! The motor is making a loud whirring noise now though, which I guess I'll have to investigate! It's not the drive belt, as it makes the noise even when I've removed the belt and rotate the motor manually. I thought perhaps I'd put one of the carbon brushes in backwards (I forgot to check before removing it), but there was no change when I took it out and put it back in the other way.
If you look at the 'slope' on the brush it should touch on the 'flat' edge not on the tip. Even when fitted correctly the motor will be noisier initially as the new brush wears down to the armature shape so the noise should reduce after a few cycles.
Really useful video. As others here my Bosch did not have a removable back. So followed advice and removed motor with machine on its side. Managed the really difficult and fiddle bit of changing the brushes as per video. When tried to put motor back on its mountings it didn't quite go fully on. So thought I would tighten bolts to push it on. You guessed it, I sheared the head of the bolt right off, so only one bolt holding motor on. Done 1st wash at 1200 spin and all OK. Will 1 bolt be enough?
Excellent and useful video. Did this about a year ago and fixed my washing machine, thanks. The motor has just stopped working again so I took the motor off, but found that the bushes were fine although one of them was a bit stiff in the slot, so I made it run easier by pushing the offending part out a bit and it slides freely. However the drum still isn't turning :( what do you think I should try next, please? Do I have to pull the motor out and find a way of testing it or is there a fuse?
Garden Angel, I turned mine upside down and could not even remove the brushes even with the use of mirrors. I believe I need a useful wife like yours. I had to remove the motor in the end with a struggle. Best regards Chris Best regards Chris
Thank you for this, it's a little different than ours, but we figured it out and got it spinning again! It took longer to unscrew & screw back on the back panel than to fix the brushes, lol.
Hey e-spares; I found your video's at youtube via a dutch forum (talk about networking;-)) Glad to say that i changed my carbon brushes, and guess what, the damn thing works perfectly!!!! And you outta know that i was going to throw it away, because i let my dryer repair, with a cost of €300 as a result :-s. Needless to say that you guys rock... Now i just gotta decide if i'm going to tell my wife about you, or if i'm gonna take all the credit^^ Either way, i'm sure she will be happy as hell!!!
Great video Rory - concise and clear- you even explained that the commutator is part of the armature! Well done! Just one thing, not sure why you removed the top from the washing machine?
Thanks for the comments, it is not necessary to remove the top but it can allow more light through the machine to help see what is going on (useful when filming).
Thanks for the comments Conrad. You may have to reset your machine after repair. If you click 'show more' on the description tab above we have added the reset information. :-)
Great vid, very rare when looking to problem solve that you find the exactly the same item your trying to repair mine is a Bosch clasixx 1000 same motor, very rare indeed 👍
Hi, thanks for the video. Since replacing the brushes, the machine does not spin to full speed. I wonder if we put the brushes in the wrong direction. Could this prevent the spin reaching full speed? Does the machine do full speed in only one direction (i.e. anti-clockwise)? Thanks.
If you find that the commutator has been scored or burnt it can usually be rectified with some fine wet and dry paper being held round it while you manually spin the motor spindle. However, the cost of a new motor and new brushes can vary quite considerably depending on your make and model of machine, but if you suspect that your motor is experiencing problems then checking it for wear and (where necessary) using a method such as the one above is certainly worthwhile! Thanks.
Really helpful video thanks! Just managed to complete this repair and feel great about it. For anyone attempting this on a Bosch wvd series washer/dryer. You cannot access the motor from the back panel. Instead you have to drain the machine, fit retaining bolts and access it from underneath. I had the machine on its side. Also, You also cannot completely remove the motor without dismantling other parts but you can remove one bolt to turn the motor round so you can access both points for the brushes. Although this is really quite fiddly it is possible for the amateur who's willing to have a go! Thanks again, you saved me £100s! :)
Great video. I've a slightly different Bosch model from this one (a WAS model), essentially the same and I'm really struggling to remove the motor - any tips? It's got a black rubber sleeve over the rear mountings and I wondered if I should be trying to remove this first, I can replace the right hand brush in situ but I think I will struggle with the one behind the wiring loom.
Hi Rory, great video. Quick question if my WFO2460AU drains but doesn't spin is this likely to mean the replacement of the brushes or can it be another issue?
Thanks for the help with the video, which showed perfectly how to replace the brushes. After installation my washing machine is running, but now I have an unusual sound, almost like there is rubbing. Is this due to the new brushes or have I not done something incorrectly?
+David Legg The new brushes will have to wear a little to match the shape of the commutator and may be a little noisy at first. You can run a few spin cycles to help this wear in without a load.
Thanks for the useful reply. Unfortunately without cutting through the back panel it is not possible to get a drill lined up with the sheared bolt. What did you mean by "use one of the other mounting pegs". Thanks in anticipation.
Hi .. great video. After my wet2820gb blowed, I opened the motor and replaced the burned motor end + carbon brushes. I now realize that the board next to the Motor burned too. I cannot find it on you website, would you know how to get it?
Further to my earlier question, I've now realised that the original symptoms are still there (slow attempt to spin that gives up before getting anywhere and minutes dropping from 11 to 1o to 1 without properly spinning)
I'm going to replace the motor brushes hence watching this video. Also with my washer, WFL2260UK/12, the led lights for Quick Wash and End are not working. Is there a fix such as replacing the LEDs?
@Shandybrother Hi there. This often happens if you are putting in different types of laundry in the one load. To test if that's the reason, try running a spin cycle when the drum is empty. If it works, you'll need to ensure you wash only similar clothes together. If it doesn't work or you hear funny sounds, it could well be the carbon brushes.
Great video, thanks Rory! But I was curious because I see that different brushes are sold. Some are as you describe with a long spring that are inserted, but others are a small block with an internal spring that seems to be bolted on the part. They often seem to be to the same model number on the net aswel, so its hard to be sure before you remove the engine. In my case its an old Bosch Maxx Wfo 2852 6kg. I see you have some sort of selector on your site, but with over 11.000 bosch machine and no way to search for the model number, its a bit hard :)
+MrMaraxion To ensure you get the right part always use the full model number ie Wfo 2852gb/05. Manufacturers will sometimes change parts during a production run but with the full model information you should get the right part by going to www.espares.co.uk/browse/at1085ma856/washing-machines/bosch
+eSpares Great. A search way inside the "choose your model" would be great because with 184 pages finding a part wil be hard. Im guessing a lot of costumers goes back to google after a few clicks... Edit: Or just maybe instead of A, B, M,W put a smaller list with all the 3 first digits So WAA, WFL, WFO etc.
If you put your full model in the search box ie WFO2852DN/05 it then lists all parts. Click on carbon brushes and it will show only www.espares.co.uk/product/es481833 you can double check by clicking the link on will this fit my appliance and re entering your model.
Hi great easy video - however could you let me know how I get to my pump on a Bosch WFL2450. Once rear removable access panel is off, this only gives access to the rear of the drum. The WM appears to be encased in an all-in-one body. I can see the motor but almost impossible to get at it. Any ideas or am I overlooking the obvious? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you
@vikio20011 Heya. I'd say its just the new brushes bedding in. As long as the commutator was clean, and the brushes inserted the right way, everything should be OK. Keep an eye on the sound.
If there were 2 bolts fitted then Bosch consider both to be necessary. You may be able to drill the sheared bolt out and put another nut and bolt in its place. Alternatively use one of the other mounting pegs. Thanks!
how long should I expect the brushes to last on a Bosch washing machine from new with daily sometimes twice daily use? We've had ours 7 years and suddenly a slight grinding noise is followed by a silent and zero functioning motor. If 7 years is in the time frame for brushes I'll go to the trouble of dismantling to remove and reorder :-)
If I removed the old brushes a while before I got the new ones and cannot remember which way the angled side of the brush came out of the motor is there another way to tell which way is the correct way to install the brushes. In your video can I take it that the way you show is that the proper way the angled side of the brushes go in.
The brushes should contact the commutator of the motor with the flat edge and not on the sharp tip. Look at the angle the brushes are set to to determine if you need to rotate the brush to ensure the flat surface is in contact.
On a Bosch (and other makes) if the brushes wear down too much the copper braid becomes exposed and can score the commutator. If that happens replacement brushes might not last very long or you might need a new motor which is expensive as I've just found out. I think there might be a case for checking the brushes once a year. The right hand brush when viewed from the rear can be accessed without taking the motor out right so not too hard to check. New motor cost >£150 online. Brushes
All went really well. Although my washing machine is a short one (WLX20462OE/18) and the motor is impossible to remove from the back so I had to flip it to the side using some towels to support the drum as %anotherdiychannel% recommended in their video and get it from the bottom. :) But not out of the woods just yet. Looks like my fridge (also Bosch) is about to get out of order - water in the freezer. I think I bought them together at the same time.
Frost free fridge freezers can sometime ice up behind the cover and cause the defrost water to stop draining to the back. Check it is not blocked with ice and defrost for at least 24 hours with the door open before suspecting a fault. For more information see another video: th-cam.com/video/duTWh83nVdA/w-d-xo.html
eSpares thanks for the advice! I've watched that video too. :) Luckily though, it seems somebody simply had left the freezer door open for like a day. Looks in order so far. :)
I thank God that people like you exist, sharing your knowledge to help other people.Replaced the brushes on my Siemens washing machine and it's now running again.Thank you very much.
Rory your the man - my washing machine packed up and due to your vid I replaced the carbon brushes and now the washing machine runs like new. Good man this saved me a small fortune on repairs or replacement
cheers mac.
Thank you so much for uploading this video! Now my washing machine is working again after I changed the brushes. It's so easy - if you just know how to do it. Without your video and your explanations I guess I would have been lost and drowning in dirty laundry. You saved me a lot of time and money and lots of natural resources. Great job!
Thanks Janis for the praise,. We are happy to have helped and hope to again in the future.:-)
Guys, many thanks I also have the Classixx 1200 Express and just put it on its side to take the motor out as the back doesn't come off, actually ended up using a bicycle spanner as a torque wrench won't fit in the gap. showed this video to our repair man 6 years ago, and he did the repairs, watched it again today and replaced and installed our new brushes myself, our 18 year old Bosch rides again! (also replaced the drain motor, excellent video from the same gent on that too! thanks
Hi James, nice to hear we are helping the professionals but why didn't you have a go and save some money?.
I did do it myself the second time around, our repairman did it the first time, I'm no Pro!
e.g. That's what you are, what am I 🙃
Sounds like you are a successful washing machine repairer now. 😊
Thanks man! This is the power of the internet, people sharing information and working togheter!
Thanks!
I had no idea how to get the motor off my Bosch Nexxt 300 series washer. This video saved me a lot of time. Thanks!! Cheerio!
That's the best explanation and demonstration of carbon brush replacement I've ever seen. Bravo!
First rate. A very clear explanation. I paused the video so that I completed each stage and started it again for the next.
Job done!
Thanks, great explanation, replaced the brushes on my 18 year Siemens washing machine and it's now running smoothly.
Hi Peter den Otter, thank you for posting your comment and glad our video helped.
13 years later and this is still a useful video, thanks!!
Big thank you from Cork, Ireland. Bosch Fault F21 led me here! All dismantled, collecting the brushes in the morning.
+Tim O'Herlihy Hope all went well with the repair.
+eSpares It worked perfectly. Thank you.
You are welcome.
Thanks for the comments Andrea, remember to 'like’ the video if you enjoyed it or it helped.👍
Thanks Waren Willer, glad to know you enjoyed our video. We hope you get the issue sorted out.
Ordered the brushes from Espares. Arrived next day, fitted in less than an hour. All working!! Cancelled the £300 new machine. Thanks.
Hi Eastwood978, these are the comments that we love to hear. Glad you have fixed the issue and saved yourself some well-earned money.
Andrew Taylor Well done Andrew hope you find some of our other 450+ videos useful in the future. :-)
eSpares спасибо большое Вам!!!) я сделал ремонт машине стиральной!!!
женя женя Вы очень радушны и хорошо сделано.
Also, I wanted to say that I'd have bought the brushes from your website as you suggest, were it not for the fact that I live in the Netherlands and a local shop actually stocks the part, so it was way easier.
glad we could help you out and we appreciate you sharing your fix it yourself experience :) please continue watching our videos, thanks.
Just replaced my brushes and now have a spinning washing machine :-)
Thanks for the very useful and easy to follow video!
Thanks so much just ordered the part form you guys and will put them in when they arrive that’s just saved me at least £150 calling someone one out for a half hour job cheers 👌
Hi Evolution Bro's, thank you for your post and glad we could help.
Bosch Job done....great video, turned mine upside down and did it with motor still in, used a mirror and a wife to do the side i couldn't see, THANKS!
Thanks.
Thank you eSpares! As a complete nono in technique you showed me the way in repairing the washing machine!
Hi Schilliebillie, thank you for your post and glad we could help and remember to keep watching our channel as we have more helpful videos.
BRILLIANT took 20 mins but saved our christmas! How much do people charge for this?! Im in the wrong job
Espares,
Your video is excellant.
Regards
Chris
Thanks for the comments Richard, glad you managed the reset eventually.
Brilliant advice my bushes had completely worn to a quarter of the size. Thankyou saved me buying a washer ❤
Hi, thanks for your comment. It's so good to hear that our video has helped you to fix you washing machine yourself!
Thanks for the video! It inspired confidence and helped my husband to replace the brushes on our 2004 Bosch washing machine.
Hi Anna, thank you for your post and glad we could help.
All went back in easily and the bolt tightening re-positioned everything OK.
thanks Rory...I followed it step by step to replace brushes on my Bosch WM.
R Davison Thanks for your comments and glad we helped. :-)
Top notch video! Thanks to you even I felt confident enough to have a go at it.
Great video, thanks very much. I bought a machine second hand with new brushes fitted but one is worn at a funny angle (flatter than the preset angle). I wonder if this is due to it not being rammed home. Also wondering if the brushes are the correct size!
Using your video I was able to repair my Bosch maxx :). Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge.
Ah, sorry about that, didn't think of it, probably wouldn't have worked into Ireland.
Robert Moloney No worries Robert maybe next time as we do supply to Ireland and normally the delivery is very quick.
replaced the brushes as per your movie and also cleaned out the pump.
Works fine
Thanks
Perfect! Working like a dream now. Thank you so much!
I been fixing mine for years just stuck hoover never done a bearing yet but if were strapped 4 cash i might, Thanks for posting great vids :)
Thanks for the comments Debeyes, remember to 'like’ the video if you enjoyed it or it helped.👍
Thanks, changed the carbon brushes as per your video and my washing machine is running again.
Glad all went well Canon.
Garden Angel,
I turned mine upside down and could not even remove the brushes even with the use of mirrors. I believe I need a useful wife like yours.
I had to remove the motor in the end with a struggle.
Best regards
Chris
Best regards
Chris
Great video. I successfully replaced our carbon brushes.
Thank you for your excellent instructions - my Bosch washing machine is working again . Maybe it will have another 5 years of life in it.
Hi Rob, this is great news! It's nice to hear that our video has helped you to repair your washing machine!
You flatterer you!, Happy to have helped and Rory is blushing and is busy preparing his acceptance speech.
Thanks very much.
Thank you for this, it's a little different than ours, but we figured it out and got it spinning again! It took longer to unscrew & screw back on the back panel than to fix the brushes, lol.
You are welcome, glad to hear all went well.
Cheers fella that was a big help changed the brushes and it works now ! Saved me a few hundred quid
+Anthony Ridley Thanks for your comments, hope all went well.
Great video. Will definitely be making my new brush order with eSpares after getting them out with this very helpful video.
Thanks for the comments Conrad. You may have to reset your machine after repair. If you click 'show more' on the description tab above we have added the reset information. :-)
Thank you so much, this video just saved me $1000 for a new washer!
Result Chad !. :-)
Great vid, very rare when looking to problem solve that you find the exactly the same item your trying to repair
mine is a Bosch clasixx 1000 same motor, very rare indeed 👍
+Ophidian Reptilian Thanks for the comments, glad you liked it. :-)
Great video but i have a question how do i get the carbon brushes to eject from the casing sp i can install .i just bought new ones and idk how to
Hi Rory, great video.
Thank you, just saved me a fortune calling the repair man out.
Further to my earlier question, I've now realised that the original symptoms are still there (slow attempt to spin that gives up before getting anywhere and minutes dropping from 11 to 1o to 1 without properly spinning)
Thanks! Fixed mine thanks to your video
Hi Michel, thank for letting us know and glad our video helped.
You're both very welcome!
Absolutely brilliant, really useful video and saved us £70.Thank you very much.,
I'm going to replace the motor brushes hence watching this video.
Also with my washer, WFL2260UK/12, the led lights for Quick Wash and End are not working. Is there a fix such as replacing the LEDs?
Great work, glad we could help.
Excellent . Couldn't be better . Many thanks .
+eSpares
Great.
Thank you
thanks ...do you have carbon brushes for a SAM P1 tennis ball machine ?? Cheers
hey there!! great video! Could you explain the terminal wiring? I have the same motor but I dont know how to drive it.
brilliant!can you change them on an super silent motor?
Good job!
Fixed my machine thank you very much saved me hundreds
Hi Love1345, thank you for letting us know as it makes our day here in the office if we save you money ☺
Just fixed mine. Great videos and quick spares despatch. Thanks.
+Alpine Pat Thanks for the comments, glad you sorted it in time for Christmas.
Brushes
My machine is really noisy is it the bearings> and while its all apart should I just do brushes to?.
That's the second time I'm gonna be fixing my washing machine myself thanks to espares. Friggin love it! ^_^
Thanks for the comments Zarviroff. hope all goes well.:-)
All went really well.
For more information see another video:
th-cam.com/video/duTWh83nVdA/w-d-xo.html
eSpares thanks for the advice! I've watched that video too. :) Luckily though, it seems somebody simply had left the freezer door open for like a day. Looks in order so far. :)
:-)
Mine lasted 6.5 years. Cost me £70 to get them replaced with new Bosche brushes. Good video that.
