Which handguards you running? Kinda look like Acerbis.

Yep, running the Acerbis roost guards. I really don't like the look and feel of the wrap arounds. Did previously have the Cycra Probends.. I find these do well enough! One problem I have is they don't mount like the original moose ears that come stock to the KTM. So, you have to move the starter etc around a distance which can make starting (if you need to also grab some throttle with it) a little annoying.

@@snyderhaus Yeah I use to have some acerbis full wrap barkbuster style guards. While the protection was awesome from trees and tip overs, I felt that they had this subconscious effect of making the bike feel bulky/heavy, haha. Also seemed to take a bit of flex away from the bars (always got arm pump while running the full wrap, then switched to flags...arm pump gone. Weird... I was going to try the acerbis roost guards because I dont like the stock guards mounting system (I run my levers very low, so the guard doesnt cover the proper area on my hands) Thanks for the reply :) Done anything else to the 150 lately?

Yeah, for sure! I have the Acerbis on all my bikes. Can't complain at all and super cheap to replace if needed (but I haven't needed to yet.) I put a Motominded XL Sport light on the 150, I think that is the last thing that I have done as of lately.. Was planning on putting together a video for it, but I haven't had enough time lately!

@@snyderhaus Just curious what you did with the bolt and the stock guards...(on mine the lever screw/pin threads into the handguard on the under side.) did you get a new shorter bolt and just run a nut on the under side to hold the lever on? hope that makes sense. Thanks :)

When I got the bike, the cycra were on and I didn't have the moose ears.. When I was fixing the bike up and making adjustments from previous owner, I had to purchase those bolts new from KTM. IT COST ME 80 BUCKS FOR TWO TINY BOLTS! auuuugh! But, I know what you mean.. I'd honestly keep the stock ones if anything to be honest. Keeps your "dashboard" nice and clean, no added things from the roost guards etc.

How does the head work with the Lectron? Any pipe bang or issues with fuel mixture? We are loving the Lectron, but I hear mixed things about adding the head.

Hey Joshua, I found both worked extremely well together. The lectron helped a lot with not having to play around with my carb, and the head insert gave it a decent amount of relatively noticeable low end. Paired with the vforce reeds, I feel that all these minor improvements across the engine helped it become a little more lively overall. I don’t think any one thing did drastic improvements, but combined just helped the motor run to its full potential! Hope this helps.

@@snyderhaus Thanks for the reply. Any issues with getting the lectron to run properly with the new head? We love the way the lectron is running on the bike now, so I'm hesitant to add the head, but I am looking for a bit more low end.

In terms of mix etc that all comes from you.. you may have to make the adjustments by going with the head; but you can tell by the smoke and spooge where you’re at. You can also get more technical and run bike the check the header and plugs. Overall, I ran 40:1 with me being a big guy (6’3” 230lbs) and the bike was great. I did sell the bike however, and the new owner contacted me cause I guess he blew the engine. After asking a few questions and looking to see the head etc along with the piston rings, I figured he was running too rich. Asked his mix - what the manual states 60:1 which is way too rich in my opinion. (And I guess that was proven right given the top end blew). Overall, if you're considering it I would say do everything like the reed and the RK Tek and you'll love it. If you are just doing one or the other I don't think it's worth it. But make sure you just stay on your mix and ride it for your style and the bike shouldnt have any issues. But this is all just my opinion from experience and not professional!
