  • This video shares some of the highlights of our 10km hike from Kondalilla Falls to Baroon Pocket Dam on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland (Australia).
We saw birds, snakes, frogs and turtles (and a few leeches thanks to the recent rain) as we made our way through the rain forest.
We left a car at the Baroon Pocket Dam entrance to the forest and then drove a second car to the upper Kondalilla Falls car park (driving back through Montville).
You can take the Great Walk trail from Kondalilla Falls and its a downhill walk most of the way passing by waterfalls, flat rock (great for a swim) and many beautiful sections of the forest and the creek.
Hopefully this video inspires you to go out into Nature today!

@@Alien_Frog_king yes a few leeches! It had just rained so that brings them out. The little green tree snake was a beauty! (Not venomous)

@@agrifforamaawesome! I've only seen similar landscapes here in tropical biomes in botanical gardens, minus the animals (they usually have birds). Looks a perfect day out for you two 😊

@Alien_Frog_king it's subtropical here and our current wet season so with the rain and heat comes lots of forest growth and animal activity. It's a beautiful place should you ever want to visit!

@@agrifforamamaybe one day! My cousin moved to Sydney I think but unfortunately we're not close. The flight time would put me off, I'm used to travelling small distances around the UK and being in control of the wheel 😅
