It's the mistranslated name of Super Saiyan Blue
Cyan is actually closer to the correct pronunciation of Saiyan, a dodgy FUNimation translation pronounced it wrong but because FUNimation translations were popular in the West the mispronunciation stuck.

@@duckwantbreads That's because when the series was first being dubbed in the late 90s, Toei was giving Funimation crappy script translations and no access to the original Japanese audio, hence all the mispronounciations and mistranslations.

You know, if they did a 2.5D Sonic game like Sonic Generations did, it would have sold a lot of units. But obviously they didn't thought about that idea at the time.

I dunno about that, back in those times 2D was seen as lazy and boring while 3D was the new thing, I remember seeing magazines slam Castlevania SOTN because it was in 2D while saying Castlevania 64 would be way better lmao
@@basurerodej8501 I meant the whole thing is polygon, including characters. Like for example Tomba/Tombi 2. No 2D sprites, but 2.5D plane path with 3D polygon.

The Tomba games underperformed, compared to the 3d platformers. And the first one used sprites.
Still, Nights basically plays like a 2.5D game whenever you're flying. The free roaming is mostly just there for showing off.
Or they could have gone Bandicoot style.
Or they could have asked Traveler's Tales to turn Sonic R into an actual 3d platformer, instead of trying to hide that it was an F1 racing engine.
They had all kinds of options, but Sega of Japan almost seemed resentful of Sonic's success. If they'd had their way, he'd be remembered today, like Alex Kidd.

Holy crap! Trivia Crack is an app/game that originated in my country, Argentina (It's known as Preguntados over here)
It used to be a huge thing over here and all over Latin America. It even got it's own branded Game Show on national TV.
While it's popularity here in Argentina has died down in recent years, it was weird seeing that ad in such a big english speaking channel. They have gone global. Good for them.

It's a common misconception that the Saturn was not capable of doing transparency, but in fact the game you used as an example, Megaman X4, has a transparent corridor just a little to the right from where you was, on the same stage.
The thing with the Saturn hardware, explaining in a simple way, is that it has different cpus to process different layers of the game and then combines them all to generate the final image, similar to how layers works on photoshop, but each layer had its strengths and weaknesses, you could only do certain things on one layer, and certain other things on another layer
Developing for Saturn was literally puzzling.

The Saturn is still today my favourite Sega system and have a fairly large games collection for it (i'm missing a lot of sports titles but i have most of the big name games, The Panzer Dragoon games, Nights into Dreams, Burning Rangers, Shining Force 3, Guardian Heroes, Saturn Bomberman and many more)
It makes me so happy knowing so many others love the system despite it's flaws

I hate that Capcom doesnt port the Saturn version anywhere, its always the Ps1 version. They should have ported the saturn version and give the option for you to pick either the saturn or the ps1 soundtrack, it would be nice.
There's something about the Saturn/Dreamcast generations of gaming that seemed more magical to me.

I don't know if either of you have ever become privy to this concept, but British people exist, as do many other people that use different dialects, and people who pronounce words differently because of regional differences in language are in fact a thing.

They're actually pronouncing it correctly. The english dub pronounce it incorrectly (among various other terms).
@@PepsiMan666 no, It would have been correct if he added the jin at the end of Saiya. He just says cyan which neither version call it. Also if he’s speaking English, he would probably use the English pronunciation as it is what the English speaking fan base mainly knows it as. He’s just plain wrong, but I’m assuming as he was a guest host, he might not be into anime or DBZ to know and read the script and just tried to pronounce Saiyan as best as he could and DYKG didn’t correct him for whatever reason.

I loved those games so much. At least the 2 on PSP. If there are more, I'm not aware of them.
There's a newer one that's on the PS4 and Arcades(although, the arcade one is shut down now.)
I know, but the last Sony system I bought was the PSP Slim or the PS2 slim, whichever came out last. I do hope to eventually get a PS4 and that Dissidia, but it's not in the cards atm.

But, Mickey, Donald & Goofy are playable in the mutiplayer mode of KH 358/2 Days. So Disney must've let them use at least some of their characters. That or Nomura didn't have a problem with the classic Disney Trio because they already are important characters in the KH Lore.

I'm convinced at this point that they're doing it on purpose.
And recently a full 100% English translation of Castlevania: Nocturne in the Moonlight. Someone else has been working on hacking it to work with the 4MB RAM cart to reduce load times but sadly nobody seems to want to apply the RAM cart hack to the translated version.

nope, not tEcHniCaLlY RiGhT (well at least not from my interpretation of how spoken English should be) because he is speaking in the English language, so should use the established and widely-accepted English pronunciation. He's not intentionally adopting the original Japanese pronunciation, but if he were, it'd be an unnecessarily pretentious and distracting choice (though admittedly not wrong either), since a widely-known English pronunciation is available. (It's just like white US-born Americans saying "SHEELAY" for the country of Chile and "Pour-shuh" for Porsche or "Hawai'i" with the glottal stop. The pronunciations would be correct if speaking in the respective origin language, but if you're speaking American English as a continental US-born white American speaking to a similar demographic, use the accepted and widely-used American English pronunciations instead. Otherwise, you are intentionally being a pretentious attention-seeking prick--no way around it. All while probably secretly half-hoping somebody pipes up to question you or correct you, so you can smugly flex in their face that you AHCKSHUALLY pronounced it correctly, since you're adopting the original pronunciation...Though if a foreign word doesn't _have_ a common accepted English pronunciation, then I of course think pronouncing it like in its origin language is expected)
@@akpokemon ur making a lot of assumptions of whether or not the host was intentionally choosing a pronunciation of a made up term. And phonetically how the host pronounces it (maybe unknowingly) is much closer to the Japanese pun of which the term Saiyan was based upon. やさい/Yasai meaning Vegetable, and as we know that all saiyans are named from food related puns ( like nearly all DB names are derived from puns or foods).

Btw the original sonic 3d blast release for pc (at least in the EU) was based on the Saturn version rather than the original version.
I even still have the CD to this day, works fine (although you'd need a good win95/98 emulator to run it). Same with my Sonic 3 & Knuckles Collection PC CD.
Although my Sonic CD disc for PC isn't working. Well it is, but sadly I somehow deleted stuff as a kid, even though it was protected via a burning tool (trying to get it to run with cd... somehow...) and now it thinks its a pirated copy with the horror image. But the case and cd still look great >.>
