Unless you are planning on amputating your thumb, please keep it away from blade and guard during use.

I bought a Worx a few weeks ago. Overall it is a good saw. I have also used the Rockwell 4" saw I borrowed from a friend about 4 weeks ago. it is also a good saw. The Rockwell is just a bit more powerful with 5 amps and some of the features are just a bit more heavy duty. The one disadvantage the Rockwell has is the safety device to allow the on switch to be activated. It is a bit of a challenge. The Worx saw is very easy to operate the safety button in combination with the on switch. The body of the Worx also fits better in your hand. This is a big advantage since the Rockwell 4" saw just seemed so cumbersome to operate. The Worx is also lighter than the Rockwell but that maybe the difference between the 5 amp Rockwell and the 4 amp Worx. The safety guard over the blade on the Worx is plastic and the Rockwell has metal. The adjustment screws for the depth and angle are slightly easier to use on the Rockwell over the Worx but this is a minor difference. I have not had any issues with the Worx and at this point I have been using the Worx saw over my 7" Craftsman saw although for bigger pieces of wood I do enjoy the power of the bigger circular saw for most cuts I prefer the smaller 4" saw. It is so much easier to use.

I bought this compact saw on Amazon and am watching your video first. I got it because it looks easy for a girl to handle! Your video helped me not be scared of it- thank you.

Totally agree, I am female DIY enthusiasts. I would like to get a circular saw but the horror stories I read, I rather now. However Iam tempting to get mini one since it is smaller and looks easier to handle.

They come with thin weak blade with little kerf that bind easy. I switched them out with Diablo 4 3/8” blade. Huge difference.

Andres Sandoval 🤔🤔🤔🤔. Just bought another worx blade at walmart. Definitely going to try your suggestion.

Andres Sandoval , I reckon if they include those blades you talk about the price will increase, and already at 100 it'll be less appealing.

I got mine from worx on sale after seeing this video. I wish you had tried it on something rougher. It cuts like butter on smooth stuff, but binds alot on others. It took me almost 30 min to break down 1 pallet. Still a great buy though.

Do you know what kind of blade you used?
I imagine a plywood cutting blade would work best for pallet wood.

I couldn't believe it does not have a dust bag, and just blows up into your face. A portable tool like this should have one. Jobs you do on the road don't generally have dust collection systems, and I sure customers would not like sawdust being blown all over. One lst thing I noticed you kept manually pushing the guard up while cutting, which you don't need to do it moves by itself. Best to keep your fingers as far away from the blade as possible.

I wish you had shown how to get past getting the blade to work. I got mine on, but the minute I hit wood it stops spinning. I've tried everything. I'd think I got a dud but amazon reviews have the same complaint, but no answer.

Thank you as I've been looking for a suitable circular saw that I can control as being a woman i've found most on the market to be just too heavy! Your post has helped me make the decision to buy one of these tomorrow.

Ordered this model on Amazon and I got it today. I was looking for some reviews about this compact saw. I have to return it before I ever got a chance to use it...
I got normal size hands but I find the tool really uncomfortable to hold. For me it’s a design failure and not secure to use. Too bad for Worx (I have other tools from
them) i’ll have to find an other compact saw to buy from a competitor.

Awesome review! I’m not familiar with how to use a circular saw, but I got this little one a a gift, so I’m hoping that you didn’t just make it LOOK easy! :-) Really helpful demonstration- thank you!

When you hold the saw handle, looks like you use your right hand. I can see that as I am a left-hander. Is the control or the plunger make this an advantage to a left-hander? I just bought this and haven't tried it yet. I needed to fix a board in the shed and wanted to do the plunge cut to repair the rotten board. Thanks!
