You asked if we like this content as you did this video!, pretty sure we would all say EXCELLENT and Thank you!!, keep it up. And actually I have been getting interested in a D16 swap, was looking up engines last week, I remembered you mentioning D16 on a different video and started getting curious, what do you guys charge for the swap?, would you get the engine or should I find one?
Did you mention at some point which subframe that is? Oh, it's the MCM frame. I had to go back and rewatch the first video. My radiator in my MiniTec frame is only attached at the bottom. I really need to figure out some top mounts. Your solution looks really good.
If you wanted to replace the “A” series engine in a Bugeye with this Civic engine is there a gearbox that will mate up behind the engine? Love your projects and your videos. You are a natural!
@@Stevestonmotorco I love the MCM subframe and the D series for the mini, but I think some protection for the alternator would be vital for its longevity.
the challenge is if you can build D16 with automatic transmission because not all mini enthusiast wants to race with stick shift, i want something that i can drive for 8-12 hrs straight with cruise control and all that
I love your videos! Keep it up! And thank you for continuing to cater to the Mini crowd.
You bet, appreciate the comment.
Great video, thanks for the engine rebuild shout out too. Looking to do a rebuild on my d16.
That bodyshell and Mk1 front grille look awesome! 👍
We think so too!

Very clean and tidy setup. Great job guys! Love the color choice on the engine.
Thanks a bunch!
Love the long tutorial videos. Doing a very similar build and like the extra info
What a build cant wait to see her on the road !!
Very interesting details on what’s involved making that engine work, long video is much appreciated , great work as always! 😎👍🏽
Glad this build is being detailed better than just an overview! I really enjoy the longer videos!
Very enjoyable. Great details and what looks like a great project!
Nice detail on what makes a successful conversation, I'm borrowing the shifter tip on my D15B project ;)
They make jumper harness where you use all the OBD2 stuff then use the jumper to run an OBD1 ecu
🎉love the long form content! Thank you
Awesome video.

Really good stuff, one of the better content channels :)
Absolutely love this
Great work as usual!! Merry Christmas Phil and the SMCO family!
Same to you!
Great video. Keep them going! More videos 📹
Love the longer videos. Trying to work out how to order my own mini from you, from the UK!
Glad to hear it! Feel free to email us through our website to see how we can help. Thanks.
What you ever do a turbo a series like DIY just did?!?

Thanks. The transmissions available all bolt up in the same configuration as shown.
Weather protection for the alternator in the wheel well? Love the video and the swap!
The car is going to be used in an extremely dry climate. Wheel well covers made of custom fit abs would be possible in theory.

What happened to your own subframe. Did you decide not to use it.
I checked your website are you no longer selling Apollo speed star lights?

It's possible with lots of fabrication. Unfortunately most of the automatic transmissions for these engines aren't exciting.
is the D16 easyer to fit over the b16?
Overly complex for such a simple and enjoyable chassis. Nice work, but too much Frankensteining for my tastes.
A lot of talking and hsnd waving but not a lot of relevant details to engine conversion i thought
