Making great strides lately on the Jeep! Today I finished up putting the windshield frame on with new cowl gasket, wiper linkage instruction, and a trick on setting the windshield frame with the new cowl gasket.

This worked great! Just finished the frame replacement on my 95 YJ. I could have used more guidance on the removal - probably could have saved myself a few steps later! What worked great: I didn't have the glass in yet - much lighter and easier, plus no danger of breakage. I followed your wiper mechanism install EXACTLY - and it worked! You have to do all the steps in that order or stuff won't go in. It fired right up and moved smooth. Also, I used a double-strap setup (4 total) to squash the seal, which worked fine. Just let it sit overnight and the bolts went right in, nice and snug. Problem spots: the hinge bolts were tough, but a 4x4 parts place had them out in 30 min. Best to get help on those unless you do this for a living! Note: used the Quadratec kit, very nice, complete, no problems, except no instructions! That's where you came in. Thanks so much!

Good info on windshield reinstalled. What kind of paint do you have on the body, almost looks like raptor coating.

What is the paint/coating that you have on your yj? Is this something that is DYI?

How was the removal process? I have to remove mine
Hey Ryan! Removal wasn't too bad except for the nut-serts that are on the inside of the windshield frame. Because my original rusty windshield frame was exactly as described - old, original, and rusty - the bolts were seized up with the nut-serts. So, for at least 2 or 3 of the bolts I had to drill them out completely to get the old windshield frame off. Once they were drilled out the next potential issue is the hinges. I sprayed my hinges with penetrating oil for a couple of days and applied some heat to them to make sure they would fold down without breaking. I think I may have gotten just a little bit lucky because very slowly they folded down then I worked them a little bit to make sure I got that penetrating oil into the hinge. Overall - potential for broken hinges, drilled out old bolts to remove. Hope that's sort of the information you were looking for. If not, let me know and I'll clarify anything you need. 👍👍
@@GearTubeTV yeah I’ve had to replace my hinges anyway for my light bar/roof rack. So Thts half the battle there. How was taking the windshield motor off?
I’m actually doing the same color monster liner as your Jeep lol. Yours looks awesome so but I’m also changing out my windshield cuz mine is in rough shape and I wanted to monsterline it anyway while it’s off
