Join us as we travel to Great Lakes, Illinois, for an unforgettable experience attending a US Navy graduation ceremony. We stayed at the Days Inn Hotel, conveniently located just a 6-minute drive from the Recruit Training Center. The hotel was impressive, with clean accommodations and a delicious free breakfast.
After the inspiring graduation ceremony, we explored the Naval Station Great Lakes Museum, located next door, to learn more about the rich history and traditions of the Navy. We then enjoyed the beautiful surroundings at Illinois Beach State Park, a perfect spot to relax and take in the natural beauty of the area.
For lunch, we savored an excellent and affordable meal at a nearby Mexican restaurant. Getting to Chicago is a breeze with the train station right across the street, offering a convenient and affordable way to explore the city.
