I was a pioneer in my school, i introduced this band to so many......I had all the albums, some were special order. fu#king loved them, then someone stoled all my cd's. Until I hear you again on you tube.this music makes me feel powerful, love the feeling I get from listening to their music .nothing else i listen to does this, funking fantastic. Orbital music should be are world's national anthem, what alien would fuk with us after listening to this. They would be paralzed with dance fever.
Every sound on this track is perfect. There's just so much to love about it. The build up is sublime. I own the CD Single so am glad to have it available on YT. Highlights for me: 2:36 section, 303 + two note high synth, with the 303 peaking thru at the start of this section and at the end of every second bar. 7:07 section introducing the oboe/flute that builds superbly to 8:18. Such tension! I would LOVE to see the Hartnoll Brothers take us thru a TH-cam guide of how they selected the sounds for this track and from which synths/modules/machines they came from. Plus, who mixed & mastered this, because it's bloody brilliant!
Cody Clay Peter Marreck - Dŵr Budr is the one I got the deepest into, although it was this track The Sinner that pulled me into Orbital and electronic music in the first place.
Val Kilmer came up in conversation recently, and this quickly led my mind to this song. It is one of my all time favourites. I then went on a hunt online and ordered the CD single, since my vinyl copy is somewhere in my parents basement on the other side of the ocean and I no longer have turntables (I know, blasphemy to not own turntables anymore). I am paying more for shipping than I am for the CD, lol
You got that right, Cengizhan. This a pure magnum opus! I love it so much!!!! Orbital roxers the boxers. I will enjoy this song til the end of my days.
2017 still holds up pretty good to what is out there now... For me it is like listening to where everything today got it's origins. This and a few other groups were and are the classical of this genre. Still a solid 2 thumbs up! =D
The Sinner is a classic example of what Orbital can do when they are let loose and not constrained by the "rules" of The Saint remake (which is still quality).
zid00001 So you still listened to the whole thing then, even though you thought it was shite?? Try the pause button, then click onto something else........simple!
Right there with both of you... I think I was 17, bought it with my own money, and was the envy of my friends with their Chrystal Method and Fluke CDs.
Two brothers who have entertained millions for decades now and still put out fresh and amazing music, world class, love you guys.
Millions?

Have you come down yet?

Another nice touch is the return of the funky rhythm after the culmination (8:46). Great track throughout!
This is probably my favorite Orbital song. It's also super underrated.
i hear you man, what do you think about Halcyon?
Cody Clay It's the best

Satan is the classic choooon
Omen is one.
that part from 5:27 - it was my ringtone
Really like this track. Takes the focus off the whole Saint thing and into its own song in a definite solid Orbital style
First electronic song I heard on cassette in my dads car when I was about 5. Loved it since then.
i can't help myself loving orbital - i can't help myself dancing and dancing, dancing ... and also : best band live !
Kraftwerk were quite inspired by this for their "Tango" track, which the played live quite a few times, but was never officially released.
Reminds me of the old ITV F1 hotlaps from 97-99.

Love the movie, this one is great stuff!!
amazing song.
_Hockenheim: 4 and a quarter miles of torturous tarmac. Part show business through the stadium, part magical mystery tour into the forest._
And then onboard with Mika Häkkinen.
Damn. Now i know what all those tribal folks back in the pre history times were talking about. Big heavy drums really do make you feel powerful.

Yes, they can rob you of 10 min's and 40 sec's of your life that you won't get back - utter shite!

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned! \m/....Thank you
If you don't dance throughout you are officially dead.

For some reason this song congers up images of a back and forth Kung Foo fight...
recently got this on vinyl, sounds even better!!
Really sounds like Craig Conner took inspiration from this when he wrote the 'Dance' section of the GTA 1 ost
Wow, and written by half of Judas Priest. This track just gets cooler :D
When dat beat dropz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right there with both of you... I think I was 17, bought it with my own money, and was the envy of my friends with their Chrystal Method and Fluke CDs.

This theme is very similar to the one used in Ghost of Tsushima game, but there it lacks few notes
