I stitched that exact stocking for my DIL. I timed it and it took me 40 hours! I do go through each bead/sequin twice to make they’re going to stay! I’ve made one for each of my 2 sons, 2 DIL’s and 3 grandchildren!

What a great video, Lisa, we stood in line together in the fabric annex at Stitch New England. The whole time I kept thinking, she looks so familiar…. Then someone asked when you’d be doing another video and you said it would be your third and you were waiting until after SNE. So when I got back to my table I finally put two and two together. You were such a pleasure to visit with, and you cost me some money. You had a piece of fabric that I had missed and when I saw it realized I just had to have it. Megan, I think it was Colorado Cross Stitcher in her latest Flosstube who said she added an extra tent stitch (half stitch) over her crossstitch to help the white cover better. She showed examples and it worked. I’m going to use that method next time I’m stitching with a lot of white or pale color fill.
Was great meeting you girls here at Stitch NE. One show that my husband and I get a kick out of is Eureka. It is a little off center but has some funny stuff as well.

It is true that an edited video does take longer to upload…my youngest says it is the rendering. All of us are learning and have some variances occur in the flosstube. I find your videos much clearer than many.

Maybe try Sulky white for the snow village. One strand compares to 1.5-2 strands DMC. Then you have to stitch w one strand.
