This helps a lot. They told me to do this in college, but i always forget, so it's really nice to find reminders like these around. Thanks for the video!
Somehow this applies to many creative fields. Working inside a box (solid framework) made by you helps you achieve your vision better than free flowing it.
perfect subject. i think this really will help me. much more than if you drew a foot (so many people want to teach beginners by using anatomy. Like we are surgeons or something).
Your videos always help me out whenever I feel stuck at some point while design sketching!!! Everything explained so clearly and crisp.Thank you for pouring so much effort and time to make such useful and amazing videos!!! :) :)
@@productdesignermaker it’s actually not to long, and using the correct term for the shape helps people learn what it is really called. They might find it interesting and want to look up more information on about hyperbolic paraboloids. I know when I saw that name I instantly went to do research on it, turns out I did a whole college art project on hyperbolic paraboloids after finding out how interesting they were.
Take the line on the side elevation (for instance) and just follow along it until you start coming close to the line on the end. When you’re coming close, transition from the first to the second line. Work around each corner. I hope this helps.
Here is a painfully more detailed explanation of how to plot symmetrical forms in perspective (aka mirroring) I don't recommend this. But it may help you get over the hump. th-cam.com/video/O1tv-6JURJ4/w-d-xo.html
Thank you. I was explaining the principle to my design students and the pringle popped into my head! They were pleasantly surprised when it became a video!

Thanks for the advice. Yes, I keep meaning to add more links (without wishing to irritate the viewer). I have the occasional link to my website, but should do the same for Instagram and Twitter too. It’s a balance between spending my time working on videos, and eating up time packaging them up nicely. 🙏

My construction lines get very confusing because there are so many and it throws my 2 point perspective drawing off. Could you show an example of this with a more complicated object like a robot?

Sir how do you hold and control your implement when sketching? I see that you didn't use your wrist but with the elbow and shoulder 😁 👍 Is that the secret for better line quality 😉 👍 🍩 ☕
You've correctly spotted the methods I've used.... locked wrist, locked fingers & working from the shoulder. There are a few other bits of advice which I hope to put together in a video that will be downloadable from my website.
