Not a tech channel, Just saw that people were having issues getting rid of the software. Wanted to help. Sorry for the zoom in, didn't check to make sure OBS wasn't zoomed in like a idiot. Update 12/3/2014 Got around to checking out a very good Channel Called "The PC Security Channel" and he made a video confirming my suspicions. I know i'm two months late but life sucks. Check out his channel too and his thoughts on the whole ultra av crap. th-cam.com/video/GEKr0LWRnqI/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for creating this critical video. It worked for me just as seen in the video. Now I want to purchase the program its on sale right now at 50% off as of 10/20/2024.
I installed Revo but UltraAV is not on the list. But it’s showing up on my screen Desktop . What should I do? It’s not in my Control panel Uninstall list either.
@@SkyCrimson I followed your instructions and I read what it said clearly on my screen and it does say that. It says "are you sure you want to skip the deletion of found leftovers?" I double checked the files after and the leftovers are indeed still there. It's fine tho, I deleted them
Thanks for making this video. Quick question. A lot of people on the forums are reporting that they can uninstall UltraAV with these step BUT the UAV folder remains on one's drive in Programs and cannot be removed. Could you check to see if your process also removed this folder?
Windows Uninstaller didn't work for me, neither did Revo Uninstaller. So I went into Program Files > UltraAV > (found and clicked on) AuUninstaler.exe That finally removed it.
Windows Uninstaller and Revo Uninstaller did not work for me. What worked was going to Program Files > UltraAV > (click on) AuUninstaller.exe That works. And I don't know why my comment keeps getting deleted
Great video! Do you have an opinion if Kaspersky will revise ultraav in the future to make it as it was? Or is this the end of Kaspersky in the US as we know it?
@thegamingapple3718 imo UltraAV is just American Kaspersky. I think what happened is that they weren't prepared for what the US was about to do in the mandate. So, in a rush of 3 months, put together US based company, a website, and a barebones anti-virus app. The problem I have is the lack of communication and just auto installing some random app on my machines.
@@SkyCrimson that’s a good take, I followed the steps in the video and personally I’m moving to Bitdefender, it’s sad to see Kaspersky fall like this because of the sanctions, is there an AV you’re currently using now or just sticking with the default Windows Defender?
@thegamingapple3718 Windows Defender seems to have proven to be a good choice. Otherwise, ima still be careful we're I get software and what websites i go to. I should still be good with or without Kaspersky.

Why are you skipping the deletion of any found leftovers? shown at 2:27
i didn't. this can be hard to see, because the screen is zoomed in.

This. You should click on the delete button, which was next to the select all button. Instead of that you just clicked on next button.

@@Marbo12f completely nuked on my end. Just make sure to reboot so it doesn't get saved in memory.

I just unistalled it like any other program in the settings control panel
@sgonzo5572 people were complaining on forums that it was leaving remnants of itself. That's why I did this video.
