Thank you for watching. I was reviewing the rules and noticed an error. at 19:30 I restarted ECR and bought one of the three shares from the bank pool, in solo play you are not permitted to buy shares directly from the bank pool.
thank you for taking the time to watch. You are correct, a single train is not allowed to run Red to Red, however the freight route consists of several trains, so it is an exception.
Imagine you have this one long route. You have two big freight trains. Can you run one of them so that it scores the first and last hex and can you make your other freight smaller so that it runs second to last and second to first hexes? Does that make any sense?
@@135Pandemonium Page 16, If a company runs multiple Freight trains, these must connect with each other end to end, and only score the end points of the combined trains plus the bonus for intervening hexes.... Exception: Two or more permanent Freight trains may operate separately. Not that the permanent trains may run to different off board areas from each other , provided all the company's attains runs meet. So, if they are running on separate tracks you can score the different ends of the two permanent trains, but this would not allow you to combine the two trains into one run and score 4 cities on that route.
@@18xxtraining625 I got you on that one, but where does it say that they cannot reuse track to score 4 cities with two freights? All I could find is that track can be re-used as long as its by different trains. Sorry I really have the rules locked down but this one thing escapes my reach. "When a company runs more than one train, the trains may run on the same track as each other, but each individual train may not reuse part of its own route".
I like the TH-cam chapters! Helps for the long vid
Thank you for watching.
Ohhhh now I see you uploaded the solo playthrough :) i am going to watch it soon to compare with my solo experiences :) thank you!
You are most welcomed. Enjoy!
Thank you Joe por this video, it will guide me in my first solo game. very useful

@@18xxtraining625 ok, thanks , I'll keep it in mind
Great video. I love playing this solo but have only hit above $9000 once and I'm pretty sure I goofed some rules too.
It is sometimes difficult to balance the rules overhead. Thank you for watching.
The E&H was running it's 6 freight from London (red) to Midlands (red). I don't think you are allowed to run from red to red.

@@18xxtraining625 Oh thank you, I had not realised that.
Thanks for your videos, Joe. Always very helpful. Greetings from Brazil.
PS: your breathing didn't get in the way at all.
Thank you for watching, I have since learned how to filter most of it out.
If it makes you feel better, I always struggle to remember when the LNCR forms as well, and often cheat myself out of a set of ORs
solo play particularly, because you only have that one set of eyes on the board.
When restarting the ECR, it should have received a new copy of a Freight permit from the box, rather than taking the next available permit
Thank you for watching and the input.
Thank you for this! (Any chance you'll hit 18Mag Solo in the future? No one seems to have touched that one.)
Thank you for watching. Unfortunately I do not own 18MAG, so unless my buddy has a copy it it doubtful.
Since one of your companies had a token on the SVR home, you did not have to block it from being upgraded for the rest of the game.
You're right, at the time I didn't notice that. Thank you.

No the combined run only scores the first and last hex, but the total number of hexes are included in the run.
@@18xxtraining625 But that's why I am making the other freight train run a smaller route no? As long as they are permanent freights isn't that legal?

I will look into it when I get home tonight.
