See Off This Mountain makes me cry every dang time I hear it. It reminds me of family but also of my home in Appalachian Virginia. I've lived far away from there for most of my adult life but songs like this transport me back to it and all the people in my life from that time who have crossed over now. Ed, it's kinda beautiful how we've grown old together, even though we don't know each other. Fans always know bits of the artist through the songs that speak to them on a soul level.
