Nice review guys. I unfortunately have never sniffed any higher end Dior fragrances but this sounds very interesting. The clove talk did bring to mind the 3rd man.
The value is incredible. You can get 250ml bottle for around £150 here in the UK. It`s sometimes 60p per 1ml which equals average designer fragrances. Sadly, recent bottles have been reformulated in a bad way but you still get a good picture of what they originally smell like. Hard to recommend you just 3 perfumes but I would go with Bois D`Argent, Patchouli Imperial and Ambre Nuit. Depending on what reason you need a fragrance for.
The line "Maison Crithians Dior". Some older fragrances that were not so popular have been cut, but most of them are still sold on Dior's website in France ( www.dior.com/fr_fr ). Eau Noire for example is still sold as LES RARISSIMES with Granville and Mitzah (# Exclusivité), they adopted similar marketing to Le Labo. It's as if some were limited to boutique in France like Cuir Cannage and the LES RARISSIMES were limited to specific dates and quantities in this boutique.
I have a 2010 bottle and always look forward to wearing it.. It is still available on the US website, however I have heard it is going the way of Mitzah and others and will only be a Paris exclusive soon. (Cuir Cannage too)
les exclusif may be professionally blended but the fragrance impressions are far behind privee ones. chanel is 90% for women, dior is more on unisex, male side. being a man I always reach for dior. moreover chanel has failed with changing a formula (that edt vs edp joke). Privee offers more rounded fragrances, they are more unique. chanel is mostly flowers and soaps.
Armani Privée is one of the most consistent, cohesive and beautiful private designer collections. I'm talking about the Orientals, the bottles with golden cap. The colorful bottles are somewhat bad though.

Encens Satin, Ambre Soie, Cuir Amethyst, Ambre Eccentrico. All solid offerings. Which ones would you recommend as well?

A bit harsh. Cuir de Russie is one dimensional and bland compared to Cuir Cannage. Coromandel is stingy on ingredients and an energy of Patchouli Imperial. Even Purple Oud is more colourful than Sycomore. Both house have reformulated their fragrances for worse. Dior Privee bottles/boxes are best looking from all Guerlain, Chanel, Hermes. Guerlain sold me with LIDGE, L`homme original and SDV only. Their one of best Terre (2012 version) is average and uninteresting.
It's the in-house perfumers job to make a good line of fragrances, demachy simply isn't as good as polge/Sheldrake or Ellena. And he's taking credit for perfumes he didn't create, scandalous bastard
So far so good with Dior Privee. Dior Maison is a mistake for followers but sales are up trending I guess. Im glad to own most of the line and not defending them just because I spent plenty money on them. They are artistic, very well blended and timeless looking too.

The Dior Privee line is a boring, uninspired money-grab.
Do you know this line at all? Xerjoff means boring, Guerlain, Malle and even Roja Dove does. Dior is playful, edgy, tries to experiment and is funny.
