For when you go to in person classes, some things I always had with me was:: *A multi-pocket folder for loose papers. *A hole punch. *a stapler. *scotch tape. *paperclips. *a 100 count notebook. *1 highlighter for each course. *one red pen, a mechanical pencil, a blue pen and a black pen.

Staplers are absolutely a necessity in in-person college. Most of the time people would print their essays right before class, and it never failed that the built in stapler in the printer/copy machine WASN'T working and since no instructor owns the room 100% there is rarely a stapler in the classroom, never mind one that works, and I have never had a professor who carries around a stapler. Also, once you are going back to in person classes I might suggest maybe keeping Expo markers too. My senior semester in college I had 4 different classes where the markers were always dead or just not there but we needed them for class, so a few of us in our department just started bringing markers to class.

As someone on their Senior year of college, I can tell you that you do need a stapler. I have used my portable stapler so many times, and have been a savior to other students. Try waiting for a stapler in a line of 300 people.

For the stapler, if you can justify having it , I would recommend having it. If you can't, try to find one that you can justify having. Having gone through a diploma, an undergrad and a postgrad degree (currently waiting to see what happens with that last graduation...yay for finishing in the middle of the campus being in lockdown), the times you do need it, will be the one week you decided to take it out, happened to me everytime, and it would happen at least once a semester (across 10 years, that is a lot to encounter the issue). it has its uses, sometimes you will want a hard copy of whatever article or reading that is not in your textbook that you need to go through that week, sometimes you need to submit a hard copy assignment (yes, I know, not right now, but when classes go back to being in person and on campus). I even had a couple weeks where I forgot my textbook, so photocopied the 4-5 pages I needed from the library copy, stapled them together, and just used those for the class. As long as you can justify it, have it. and others may thank you for it as well, when they are unable to find one.

this video convinced me to get the pencil case but in orange. It was time. I had the other lithit lab but it had alot of pen space which I really didn't need. I considered it last year when I saw jasmine's 2019 one. Also kinda jealous of those special edition sarasa pens. They're so cute but I'm trying to tone down my stationary purchases hahah

I hope the version they send me is an olderverison of the pen that they still had in stock. If anyone have any fast drying gel in refills that do fit the new version of this pen please let me know!
I ordered the Uni Jetstream Alpha Gel a day before this video was posted from Amazon. So I was bummed to find out that Pentel refills didn't work with the Jetstream body anymore. I was in luck as it arrived today and the Pentel refills still work with the body. So I'm assuming: 1) Amazon is still selling the old version of the pen. 2) Jetstream has no more stock of the old person of the pen and is selling the new one. 3) I saw in the comments that the newer version of the pen does still fit the Pental Refills but doesn't fit the regular Jetstream refills. Side note: Jetpens sells the pink version of the pen for $5 cheaper but for free shipping you need to order $35 or more. Amazon, while the pink pen that I bought was $5 more expensive, I found sold a lot of other stationary (Mildliners, Zebra Sarasa pens, etc.) cheaper if you buy them in bulk/set. I'm not sure about the Jetpens return policy, however if you're unsatisfied with your products, or if you live in an area where packages are prone to be delivered incorrectly or stolen, I suggest Amazon just for their return policy. I hope this helps!

Don't change your system! Color coding can really take a lot of time, and time is the most precious thing in college. If you really want to use a color coding system, go for a multi pen. Sincerely, A senior in college who's had to change her note taking system to try and get more time during lectures. P.S. In online classes lecturers write even faster, so you really don't have much time to write what's needed.

Just got a Uni Alpha Gel pen from Amazon and Pentel Energel refills. They seem to fit... maybe Amazon just sells the old version or something.

energel x needlepoint 0.5mm are the best gel writers!! Outside of the fountain pen category, nothing is smoother imho
not in my experience lol mine was great until it wasn’t. it started to scratch when i would write. maybe got a defective.

I must say, Lihit Lab makes the best pen cases imo. I’m currently using the triple book pen case from them.
The only problem I have with gel pens is that the ink runs out faster then with normal ballpoint pens
