Fighters are really horrible at predictions
It's crazy how people can dedicate their whole lives to MMA and still have a terrible eye to spot talent and differentiate the level of skillset and abilities presented to them by both fighters.

Fighters are getting criticized for favoring Max, but I can understand they’re perspective. I was one of the few that thought Ilia was going to beat Volk after his second fight in the UFC, but Max is really that good and has PROVEN that in the ufc for years. UFC fighters know how tough it is to win in that promotion, so yeah out of respect, they’re going with the vet who’s broken multiple records, a modern mma hall of famer, went up a weight class and knocked Justin out cold, etc. I personally can’t confidently pick who I think is going to win, but I’m extremely excited for the fight! (Coming from a huge Ilia fan)

Seems like there is a weight class optimally suited for every height. Look at Volk at 45, perfectly sized man with well rounded skills. Very hard to beat when he’s healthy.
