Modified FX Maverick .30 hog hunt(GRAPHIC)

- First time recording a video with the PARD 007S. I needed to adjust the focus, but it got the kill on video at least. This was down in south GA where the feral pigs are a huge problem. I picked out the largest sow to remove from the group, as there were no large boars in the group. I was using my highly tuned FX Maverick shooting 67 grain slugs around 1025 fps. She weighed 224lbs.

Thanks! 95% of all feral hogs come from domestic hogs. That's why I call them feral, and not "wild", because there aren't really any true wild hogs in the US. The exception being European wild hogs brought here for high fence game ranches. All of that is to say, yes, some do very much resemble domestic hogs, but they are in no way tame. You saw how quickly they were gone when the shot was made, and that gun is not loud at all ;)

Nice d'une but just à question, what do you modifie for à power like this because you need hard transfert port Hammer spring and longue barrel to push this slug wheight at this speed!

Yes but for me that no possible to take this power with this type of valve and conception. And modofie Hammer Weight transfert port install 800mm barrel in maverick or any thing... you cant take this power . So i am,very curious about your answer. You can answer me shorter, thanks
@@rallysharkzone2946 for exemple in the M3 it is not possible to get this crazypower with any modification as possible and i have many Fx bécause i repair and tune this mark for the official dealer from France so very very curious.
You need to modifie valve like big bore , the travel of Hammer and many thing and it is not possible because FX plate-forme is not design for this. So you lie or you are à masterclass sorry dude

Just curious why you waited so long? You definitely had some two for one shots there.
A two for one with a .30 air gun isn't a high percentage deal. The odds are high that the slug won't pass through, since I was shooting a light slug for caliber(compared to big bores) at high speed. They expand very fast. Otherwise, I wanted to make sure I got one down for sure. Once head twitch and I'm off by an inch, and that's a lot when taking head shots. An inch with taking head shots with an air gun can be the difference between a hog down and one not recovered.

What was range, and barrel length of Maverick (600,700)?
The range was about 30 yards, and the gun has a 32"(800mm) TJs barrel that I machined myself.
Regs? Amunition?
The gun has been modified to a single regulator, with an extra plenum section in place of the 2nd regulator. I'm using a single Huma extra high pressure reg set to 205 bar, shooting Griffin 67 grain slugs at 1025 fps. The barrel is a TJs 32" with a 1:16 twist.

How long maximum effective target for 30call with this FPS?
@@hunterhunting-takasai4751, Preferably, I wouldn't try and take a large animal past 100 yards. Ballistics wise, it could kill a hog at 150 yards with a good shot. If I were shooting targets or small game, I can take out to 300 yards.

What modifications if you can know?
I've done about everything I can to it. I'm using a 32" TJs barrel, 16 gram hammer weight, Huma hammer spring, opened up the valve seat to 7.2mm, Huma pin probe, Huma extra high pressure regulator, modified Huma barrel port, 300 bar bottle, and a few other things that I can't remember at the moment. I hope that helps.
@@rallysharkzone2946 Thank you. And how do you have the pressure on reg? And where can you buy such a barrel and a 16gr hammer? I think I read your forum post. You wrote "Opened valve seat to 7.2mm, PEEK poppet". What needs to be replaced to obtain such opening of the valve?

@@MrPonosify Yes, that was my post. I forgot about the PEEK poppet, but I knew I was forgetting something, haha. I machined the barrel from a blank myself, but I believe FX will be coming out with an 800mm .30 barrel very soon. I also made the hammer weight, and did the valve mods myself with a lathe. I'm running an extra plenum section in place of the 2nd regulator, so I'm only running 1 regulator set to about 205 bar. That's why I have the extra high pressure reg in there.
@@MrPonosify I have put THOUSANDS of rounds through my gun, and did have to replace the hammer once, but that was due to an unrelated issue. I won't lie, pushing the gun that hard will give you problems, if everything isn't perfect. I've actually had the most problems with the cocking rod, given the high cocking force required. I've made modifications to prevent that from happening again. The valve/poppet have been rock solid though. Those mods have been in place, since day 1.

Bullet weight in one, pig weight in the other, and both are not metric. The speed of the bullet also needs to be recalculated in order to understand ...
